NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 At the end of the twenty years which it took Solomon to build the Temple of Yahweh and his ownpalace,	1 Ao cabo de vinte anos, Salomão tinha construído o templo do Senhor e sua própria residência.
2 and to rebuild the towns which Huram had given him and settle them with Israelites,	2 Reconstruiu também as cidades que Hirão lhe tinha dado e nelas estabeleceu os israelitas.
3 Solomon mounted an expedition against Hamath-Zobah and captured it.	3 Em seguida, atacou Emat de Soba, e se apoderou dela.
4 He also fortified Tadmor in the desert and all the storage towns which he had built in Hamath.	4 Construiu Tadmor no deserto e todas as localidades que serviam de entreposto na terra de Emat.
5 He also built Upper Beth-Horon and Lower Beth-Horon as fortified towns with wal s and gates and bars,	5 Construiu Betoron superior e Betoron inferior, cidades fortificadas providas de muralhas, portas e ferrolhos.
6 also Baalath and al Solomon's storage towns, al the towns for his chariots and horses, and everythingwhich Solomon was pleased to build in Jerusalem, in the Lebanon and throughout the territory under his rule.	6 Construiu Baalat e todas as localidades que lhe serviam de entrepostos de aprovisionamento, as cidades para os carros, as cidades para a cavalaria e tudo quanto achou bom construir em Jerusalém, no Líbano e em todo o território submetido ao seu poder.
7 Al those who survived of the Hittite, Amorite, Perizzite, Hivite and Jebusite peoples, who did not belongto Israel-	7 Toda a população que tinha sobrevivido dos hititas, dos amorreus, dos ferezeus, dos heveus e dos jebuseus, tudo o que não era de Israel -
8 those of their descendants stil remaining in the country, whom the Israelites had not exterminated,these Solomon levied for forced labour, as is stil the case today.	8 todos os descendentes desses povos que tinham ficado na terra sem que Israel tivesse podido exterminar -, Salomão submeteu-os como pessoal de trabalho pesado, o que são ainda hoje.
9 Solomon did not, however, impose forced labour on the Israelites for his work -- for they were soldiers,his senior officers and his chariot and cavalry commanders.	9 Nenhum israelita foi empregado nos trabalhos de Salomão como escravo: foram seus guerreiros, chefes de suas tropas de eleição, comandantes de seus carros e de sua cavalaria.
10 There were two hundred and fifty of King Solomon's officials in charge of the foremen who supervisedthe people.	10 Os contramestres do rei, colocados à frente dos obreiros, eram duzentos e cinqüenta.
11 Solomon moved Pharaoh's daughter up from the City of David to the palace which he had built for her.'I must not be responsible', he said, 'for a woman living in the palace of David king of Israel, for these buildings towhich the ark of Yahweh has come are sacred.'	11 Salomão mandou buscar a filha do faraó da cidade de Davi para a residência que lhe construiu. Minha mulher, disse ele, não deve habitar na casa de Davi, rei de Israel. Essa habitação, na qual entrou a arca do Senhor, é um santuário.
12 Thereafter, Solomon made burnt offerings to Yahweh on the altar of Yahweh which he had built infront of the portico,	12 Então Salomão ofereceu ao Senhor holocaustos no seu altar, que tinha construído diante do pórtico.
13 in accordance with the regular prescriptions for burnt sacrifice as commanded by Moses, on theSabbaths, New Moons and the three annual feasts; the feast of Unleavened Bread, the feast of Weeks and thefeast of Shelters.	13 Cada dia oferecia os sacrifícios prescritos por Moisés; igualmente, aos sábados, nas neomênias, e nas três festas do ano: festa dos Ázimos, festa das Semanas e festa dos Tabernáculos.
14 Fol owing the prescriptions of his father David, he assigned the orders of priests to their duties and theLevites to their tasks of praise and of assisting the priests in accordance with day-to-day requirements; as alsothe gatekeepers in their various orders to each gate -- for such was the command of David, man of God.	14 Conforme as disposições tomadas por seu pai Davi, empossou as diversas classes de sacerdotes em suas funções, assim como os levitas, em seus ministérios de louvar o Senhor e no seu serviço quotidiano em presença dos sacerdotes; finalmente, os porteiros para cada porta, de acordo com sua categoria. Assim tinha mandado o homem de Deus, Davi.
15 Nor was there deviation on any point from the king's command as regards the priests, the Levites oreven the storehouses.	15 Em nada se afastaram das disposições que tinha tomado com referência aos sacerdotes, aos levitas e ao que se relacionava com os tesouros.
16 Thus, al the work was over which Solomon had put in hand when the Temple of Yahweh was foundeduntil it was finished. The Temple of Yahweh was complete in every detail.	16 Dessa forma foi levada a efeito toda a obra de Salomão, desde a fundação do templo até seu acabamento. O templo do Senhor estava, pois, terminado.
17 Solomon then mounted an expedition to Ezion-Geber and Elath on the sea-coast of Edom.	17 Então Salomão dirigiu-se a Asiongaber e a Ailat, nas praias do mar, na terra de Edom.
18 Huram sent him ships through his agents, as wel as experienced sailors, who went to Ophir with menin Solomon's service, where they took on four hundred and fifty talents of gold, which they brought back to KingSolomon.	18 Hirão enviou-lhe, por meio de seus servos, navios e marinheiros experimentados. Eles foram a Ofir com os servos de Salomão, e de lá trouxeram ao rei quatrocentos e cinqüenta talentos de ouro.
