NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 At the end of the twenty years which it took Solomon to build the Temple of Yahweh and his ownpalace,	1 Al cabo de los veinte años que empleó Salomón en edificar la Casa de Yahveh y su propia casa,
2 and to rebuild the towns which Huram had given him and settle them with Israelites,	2 reconstruyó las ciudades que Juram le había dado, y estableció allí los israelitas.
3 Solomon mounted an expedition against Hamath-Zobah and captured it.	3 Salomón marchó contra Jamat de Sobá y se apoderó de ella;
4 He also fortified Tadmor in the desert and all the storage towns which he had built in Hamath.	4 reedificó Tadmor en el desierto, y todas las ciudades de avituallamiento que construyó en Jamat;
5 He also built Upper Beth-Horon and Lower Beth-Horon as fortified towns with wal s and gates and bars,	5 reconstruyó Bet Jorón de arriba y Bet Jorón de abajo, ciudades fortificadas, con murallas, puertas y barras,
6 also Baalath and al Solomon's storage towns, al the towns for his chariots and horses, and everythingwhich Solomon was pleased to build in Jerusalem, in the Lebanon and throughout the territory under his rule.	6 y Baalat, con todas las ciudades de avituallamiento que pertenecían a Salomón, todas las ciudades de carros y las ciudades para los caballos, y todo cuanto quiso edificar en Jerusalén, en el Líbano y en toda la tierra de su dominio.
7 Al those who survived of the Hittite, Amorite, Perizzite, Hivite and Jebusite peoples, who did not belongto Israel-	7 Con toda la gente que había quedado de los hititas, los amorreos, los perizitas, los jivitas y los jebuseos, que no eran israelitas,
8 those of their descendants stil remaining in the country, whom the Israelites had not exterminated,these Solomon levied for forced labour, as is stil the case today.	8 cuyos descendientes habían quedado después de ellos en el país y a los que los israelitas no habían exterminado, hizo Salomón una leva que dura hasta el día de hoy.
9 Solomon did not, however, impose forced labour on the Israelites for his work -- for they were soldiers,his senior officers and his chariot and cavalry commanders.	9 Pero no empleó Salomón a ninguno de los israelitas como esclavo para sus obras, sino como hombres de guerra, jefes y escuderos, comandantes de sus carros y de sus caballos.
10 There were two hundred and fifty of King Solomon's officials in charge of the foremen who supervisedthe people.	10 Los jefes de las guarniciones que tenía el rey Salomón eran 250, que gobernaban al pueblo.
11 Solomon moved Pharaoh's daughter up from the City of David to the palace which he had built for her.'I must not be responsible', he said, 'for a woman living in the palace of David king of Israel, for these buildings towhich the ark of Yahweh has come are sacred.'	11 Salomón hizo subir a la hija de Faraón desde la Ciudad de David a la casa que había edificado para ella; pues se decía: «No debe habitar mujer mía en la casa de David, rey de Israel; porque los lugares donde ha estado el arca de Yahveh son sagrados».
12 Thereafter, Solomon made burnt offerings to Yahweh on the altar of Yahweh which he had built infront of the portico,	12 Entonces empezó a ofrecer Salomón holocaustos a Yahveh sobre el altar de Yahveh, que había erigido delante del Ulam;
13 in accordance with the regular prescriptions for burnt sacrifice as commanded by Moses, on theSabbaths, New Moons and the three annual feasts; the feast of Unleavened Bread, the feast of Weeks and thefeast of Shelters.	13 ofreció holocaustos según el rito de cada día, conforme a los prescrito por Moisés, en los sábados, los novilunios y en las solemnidades, tres veces al año: en la fiesta de los Azimos, en la fiesta de las Semanas y en la fiesta de las Tiendas.
14 Fol owing the prescriptions of his father David, he assigned the orders of priests to their duties and theLevites to their tasks of praise and of assisting the priests in accordance with day-to-day requirements; as alsothe gatekeepers in their various orders to each gate -- for such was the command of David, man of God.	14 Estableció también las secciones de los sacerdotes en sus servicios conforme al reglamento de su padre David, a los levitas en sus cargos de alabar y servir junto a los sacerdotes, según el rito de cada día; y a los porteros con arreglo a sus secciones, en cada puerta; porque ésta era la orden de David, hombre de Dios.
15 Nor was there deviation on any point from the king's command as regards the priests, the Levites oreven the storehouses.	15 No se apartaron en nada de la orden del rey en lo tocante a los sacerdotes y los levitas, ni tampoco en lo relativo a los tesoros.
16 Thus, al the work was over which Solomon had put in hand when the Temple of Yahweh was foundeduntil it was finished. The Temple of Yahweh was complete in every detail.	16 Así fue dirigida toda la obra de Salomón, desde el día en que se echaron los cimientos de la Casa de Yahveh hasta su terminación. Así fue acabada la Casa de Yahveh.
17 Solomon then mounted an expedition to Ezion-Geber and Elath on the sea-coast of Edom.	17 Entonces Salomón fue a Esyón Guéber y a Elat, a orillas del mar, en el país de Edom,
18 Huram sent him ships through his agents, as wel as experienced sailors, who went to Ophir with menin Solomon's service, where they took on four hundred and fifty talents of gold, which they brought back to KingSolomon.	18 y Juram le envió, por medio de sus siervos, navíos y marinos conocedores del mar, que fueron con los siervos de Salomón a Ofir, de donde tomaron 450 talentos de oro, que trajeron al rey Salomón.
