NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 At the end of the twenty years which it took Solomon to build the Temple of Yahweh and his ownpalace,	1 Al cabo de los veinte años que tardó Salomón en construir la Casa del Señor y su propia casa,
2 and to rebuild the towns which Huram had given him and settle them with Israelites,	2 él reconstruyó las ciudades que le había dado Jiram y estableció en ellas a los israelitas.
3 Solomon mounted an expedition against Hamath-Zobah and captured it.	3 Luego se dirigió a Jamat de Sobá y se apoderó de ella.
4 He also fortified Tadmor in the desert and all the storage towns which he had built in Hamath.	4 Reconstruyó Tadmor en el desierto, como asimismo todos los centros de aprovisionamiento que había edificado en Jamat.
5 He also built Upper Beth-Horon and Lower Beth-Horon as fortified towns with wal s and gates and bars,	5 Reconstruyó Bet Jorón de Arriba y Bet Jorón de Abajo –plazas fuertes con muros, puertas y cerrojos –
6 also Baalath and al Solomon's storage towns, al the towns for his chariots and horses, and everythingwhich Solomon was pleased to build in Jerusalem, in the Lebanon and throughout the territory under his rule.	6 y también Baalat, todos los centros de aprovisionamiento que tenía Salomón, todas las ciudades para los carros de guerra y la caballería, y todas las demás construcciones que Salomón quiso levantar en Jerusalén, en el Líbano y en todo el país sometido a su dominio.
7 Al those who survived of the Hittite, Amorite, Perizzite, Hivite and Jebusite peoples, who did not belongto Israel-	7 A los sobrevivientes de los hititas, los amorreos, los perizitas, los jivitas y los jebuseos, que no pertenecían a Israel
8 those of their descendants stil remaining in the country, whom the Israelites had not exterminated,these Solomon levied for forced labour, as is stil the case today.	8 –es decir, a sus descendientes, que habían quedado después de ellos en el país, porque los israelitas no los habían exterminado– Salomón les impuso trabajos serviles hasta el día de hoy.
9 Solomon did not, however, impose forced labour on the Israelites for his work -- for they were soldiers,his senior officers and his chariot and cavalry commanders.	9 Pero no sometió a esclavitud a ningún israelita, sino que a ellos los empleó como hombres de guerra, jefes de sus escuderos y comandantes de sus carros de guerra y su caballería.
10 There were two hundred and fifty of King Solomon's officials in charge of the foremen who supervisedthe people.	10 Los supervisores de los capataces puestos por Salomón eran doscientos cincuenta hombres, que dirigían al personal.
11 Solomon moved Pharaoh's daughter up from the City of David to the palace which he had built for her.'I must not be responsible', he said, 'for a woman living in the palace of David king of Israel, for these buildings towhich the ark of Yahweh has come are sacred.'	11 Salomón hizo subir a la hija del Faraón desde la Ciudad de David a la casa que había edificado para ella, porque él decía: «Mi mujer no puede habitar en la casa de David, el rey de Israel, ya que los lugares donde ha entrado el Arca del Señor son sagrados».
12 Thereafter, Solomon made burnt offerings to Yahweh on the altar of Yahweh which he had built infront of the portico,	12 Entonces Salomón comenzó a ofrecer holocaustos al Señor sobre el altar que había erigido ante el vestíbulo del Templo.
13 in accordance with the regular prescriptions for burnt sacrifice as commanded by Moses, on theSabbaths, New Moons and the three annual feasts; the feast of Unleavened Bread, the feast of Weeks and thefeast of Shelters.	13 Según el rito de cada día, ofrecía lo que había mandado Moisés para los sábados, los novilunios y las tres solemnidades anuales, a saber; la fiesta de los Acimos, la fiesta de las Semanas y la fiesta de las Chozas.
14 Fol owing the prescriptions of his father David, he assigned the orders of priests to their duties and theLevites to their tasks of praise and of assisting the priests in accordance with day-to-day requirements; as alsothe gatekeepers in their various orders to each gate -- for such was the command of David, man of God.	14 Además, conforme a las disposiciones de su padre David, asignó a las clases sacerdotales sus respectivas funciones; estableció en sus cargos a los levitas, para cantar alabanzas y oficiar en presencia de los sacerdotes, según el rito de cada día; y a los porteros, según sus clases, los encargó de cada una de las puertas, porque así lo había mandado David, el hombre de Dios.
15 Nor was there deviation on any point from the king's command as regards the priests, the Levites oreven the storehouses.	15 Ellos no se apartaron en nada de lo mandado por el rey en lo referente a los sacerdotes y a los levitas, ni tampoco en lo concerniente a los tesoros.
16 Thus, al the work was over which Solomon had put in hand when the Temple of Yahweh was foundeduntil it was finished. The Temple of Yahweh was complete in every detail.	16 Así se llevó a cabo toda la obra de Salomón, desde el día en que se pusieron los cimientos de la Casa del Señor hasta su terminación. La Casa del Señor quedó totalmente concluida.
17 Solomon then mounted an expedition to Ezion-Geber and Elath on the sea-coast of Edom.	17 Entonces Salomón se dirigió a Esión Guéber y a Elat, a orillas del mar, en el país de Edom.
18 Huram sent him ships through his agents, as wel as experienced sailors, who went to Ophir with menin Solomon's service, where they took on four hundred and fifty talents of gold, which they brought back to KingSolomon.	18 Jiram, por medio de sus servidores, le envió una flota y algunos marineros, buenos conocedores del mar. Ellos fueron a Ofir con los servidores de Salomón, y trajeron de allí cuatrocientos talentos de oro, que entregaron al rey Salomón.
