4 Sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the levitical clans according to their father.	4 Filii Merari: Moholi et Musi. Hae autem cognationes Levi secundum familias eorum:

34 but Aaron and his sons burned the offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense;they were entirely responsible for the most holy things and for the ritual of expiation for Israel, in accordance withal that Moses, servant of God, had commanded.	34 Aaron vero et filii eius adolebant super altare holocausti et super altare thymiamatis in omne opus sancti sanctorum, et ut expiarent pro Israel, iuxta omnia quae praecepit Moyses servus Dei.

39 These were their places of settlement within their prescribed territory: The sons of Aaron of theKohathite clan -- for to these the first lot fel -	39 Et haec habitacula eorum per castra atque confinia, filiorum scilicet Aaron ex cognatione Caathitarum; ipsis enim sorte contigerat.
40 were given Hebron in the territory of Judah with its surrounding pasture lands.	40 Dederunt igitur eis Hebron in terra Iudae et suburbana eius per circuitum;

42 The sons of Aaron were also given the cities of refuge, Hebron, Libnah with its pasture lands, Jattir,Eshtemoa with its pasture lands.	42 Porro filiis Aaron dederunt civitatem ad confugiendum: Hebron et Lobna et suburbana eius,
43 Hilen with its pasture lands, Debir with its pasture lands,	43 Iether quoque et Esthemo cum suburbanis eius, sed et Helon et Dabir cum suburbanis suis,
44 Ashan with its pasture lands and Beth-Shemesh with its pasture lands;	44 Asan quoque et Iutta et Bethsames et suburbana earum;
45 and, from the tribe of Benjamin, Geba with its pasture lands, Alemeth with its pasture lands andAnathoth with its pasture lands. 46 The remaining sons of Kohath were al otted ten towns from the clans of the tribe, that is, from the half-tribe of Manasseh.	46 Filiis autem Caath residuis de cognatione sua dederunt ex tribu Ephraim et ex tribu Dan et ex dimidia tribu Manasse in possessionem urbes decem.
47 The sons of Gershom and their clans were allotted thirteen towns from the tribe of Issachar, from thetribe of Asher, from the tribe of Naphtali and from the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.	47 Porro filiis Gerson per cognationes suas de tribu Issachar et de tribu Aser et de tribu Nephthali et de tribu Manasse in Basan urbes tredecim.
48 The sons of Merari and their clans were al otted twelve towns from the tribe of Reuben, from the tribeof Gad and from the tribe of Zebulun.	48 Filiis autem Merari per cognationes suas de tribu Ruben et de tribu Gad et de tribu Zabulon dederunt sorte civitates duodecim.
49 The Israelites gave these towns with their pasture lands to the Levites.	49 Dederunt quoque filii Israel Levitis civitates et suburbana earum;
50 From the tribe of the sons of Judah, from the tribe of the sons of Simeon and from the tribe of the sonsof Benjamin, they also al otted them those towns to which they gave their names.	50 dederuntque per sortem ex tribu filiorum Iudae et ex tribu filiorum Simeon et ex tribu filiorum Beniamin urbes has, quas vocaverunt nominibus suis.
51 Towns from the tribe of Ephraim were also assigned to the territory of some clans of the sons ofKohath.	51 Et his, qui erant ex cognationibus filiorum Caath, fuerunt civitates in terminis eorum de tribu Ephraim.
52 They were given the cities of refuge: Shechem in the highlands of Ephraim with its pasture lands,Gezer and its pasture lands,	52 Dederunt ergo eis urbem ad confugiendum: Sichem cum suburbanis suis in monte Ephraim et Gazer cum suburbanis suis,
53 Jokmeam with its pasture lands, Beth-Horon with its pasture lands,	53 Iecmaam quoque cum suburbanis suis et Bethoron similiter;
54 Aijalon with its pasture lands and Gath-Rimmon with its pasture lands	54 necnon et Aialon cum suburbanis suis et Gethremmon in eundem modum.
55 and from the half-tribe of Manasseh, Aner with its pasture lands and Bileam with its pasture lands. 56 From the half-tribe of Manasseh, the sons of Gershom according to family were given Golan inBashan with its pasture lands and Ashtaroth with its pasture lands;	56 Filiis autem Gerson de cognationibus dimidiae tribus Manasse: Golan in Basan et suburbana eius et Astharoth cum suburbanis suis.
57 from the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh with its pasture lands, Daberath with its pasture lands,	57 De tribu Issachar Cedes et suburbana illius et Dabereth cum suburbanis suis,
58 Ramoth with its pasture lands and Anem with its pasture lands;	58 Ramoth quoque et suburbana illius et Anem cum suburbanis suis.

61 from the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its pasture lands, Hammon with its pasture lands andKiriataim with its pasture lands.	61 Porro de tribu Nephthali: Cedes in Galilaea et suburbana eius, Hamon cum suburbanis suis et Cariathaim et suburbana eius.

63 in Transjordan, near Jericho, east of the Jordan, from the tribe of Reuben: Bezer in the desert with itspasture lands, Jahzah with its pasture lands,	63 Trans Iordanem quoque ex adverso Iericho, contra orientem Iordanis de tribu Ruben: Bosor in solitudine cum suburbanis suis et Iasa cum suburbanis suis,
