1 As regards the orders of the gatekeepers: Of the Korahites there was Meshelemiah son of Kore, oneof the sons of Ebiasaph,	1 Az ajtónállók osztályaihoz tartoztak: A kóriták közül Meselemia, az Ászáf fiai közül való Kóré fia.
2 and Meshelemiah's sons: Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel thefourth,	2 Meselemia fiai: Zakariás, az elsőszülött, Jedjaél a második, Zábadja a harmadik, Jatanaél a negyedik,
3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.	3 Élám, az ötödik, Johanán, a hatodik, Elioenáj, a hetedik. –

10 Hosah, one of the sons of Merari, had sons: Shimri was the first, for although he was not the first-born his father had made him the chief.	10 Hószától, vagyis Merári fiai közül valók voltak: Semri, a családfő – atyjának ugyanis nem volt már elsőszülöttje s azért őt tette meg családfőnek –,
11 Hilkiah was the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: Hosah had thirteen sons andbrothers in al .	11 Helkija a második, Tabelja a harmadik, Zakariás a negyedik. Hószának ezek a fiai meg a testvérei összesen tizenhárman voltak.
12 These orders of gatekeepers, al ocated according to their headmen, had duties, just like theirbrothers, of serving in the house of Yahweh.	12 Ezeket ajtónállóknak osztották be, hogy mint az őrség vezetői, testvéreikhez hasonlóan, szüntelenül az Úr házában szolgáljanak.
13 Similarly, they drew lots for each gate, whether their families were large or small.	13 Majd kisorsolták fiatalnak s idősnek egyaránt, családról-családra a különböző kapukat.
14 For the eastern one, the lot fel to Shelemiah; and when they drew lots for Zechariah his son, ashrewd counsel or, his lot came out for the north.	14 A napkeleti rész Selemiára esett, fiának, Zakariásnak, aki igen okos és tapasztalt ember volt, az északi oldal jutott osztályrészül.

In fact, whatever was dedicated was the responsibility of Shelomoth and his kinsmen.	28 Mindazt, amit Sámuel látnok szentelt az Úrnak, meg Saul, Kís fia, meg Ábner, Nér fia, meg Joáb, Száruja fia vagy bárki más szentelt az Úrnak, szintén Selemit és testvérei kezelték.

32 There were twenty-seven hundred outstanding men, heads of families, whom King David put incharge of the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh in al matters pertaining to God and theking.	32 Kétezer-hétszáz felnőtt korú testvére családfő volt. Ezeket Dávid a rúbenitáknak, a gáditáknak és Manassze fél törzsének élére állította, Istennek és a királynak minden ügyében.
