1 As regards the orders of the gatekeepers: Of the Korahites there was Meshelemiah son of Kore, oneof the sons of Ebiasaph,	1 למחלקות לשערים לקרחים משלמיהו בן קרא מן בני אסף
2 and Meshelemiah's sons: Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel thefourth,	2 ולמשלמיהו בנים זכריהו הבכור ידיעאל השני זבדיהו השלישי יתניאל הרביעי
3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.	3 עילם החמישי יהוחנן הששי אליהועיני השביעי
4 Obed-Edom's sons were: Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sacar thefourth, Nethanel the fifth,	4 ולעבד אדם בנים שמעיה הבכור יהוזבד השני יואח השלשי ושכר הרביעי ונתנאל החמישי
5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peul ethai the eighth; God had indeed blessed him.	5 עמיאל הששי יששכר השביעי פעלתי השמיני כי ברכו אלהים
6 His son Shemaiah also had sons who wielded authority in their family, because they were men ofoutstanding quality.	6 ולשמעיה בנו נולד בנים הממשלים לבית אביהם כי גבורי חיל המה
7 The sons of Shemaiah were: Othni, Rephael, Obed and Elzabad, whose brothers Elihu andSemachiah were outstanding men.	7 בני שמעיה עתני ורפאל ועובד אלזבד אחיו בני חיל אליהו וסמכיהו
8 Al these were sons of Obed-Edom, who with their sons and brothers were men of standing, wel fittedfor their task. Obed-Edom had sixty-two.	8 כל אלה מבני עבד אדם המה ובניהם ואחיהם איש חיל בכח לעבדה ששים ושנים לעבד אדם
9 Meshelemiah had eighteen outstanding sons and brothers.	9 ולמשלמיהו בנים ואחים בני חיל שמונה עשר
10 Hosah, one of the sons of Merari, had sons: Shimri was the first, for although he was not the first-born his father had made him the chief.	10 ולחסה מן בני מררי בנים שמרי הראש כי לא היה בכור וישימהו אביהו לראש
11 Hilkiah was the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: Hosah had thirteen sons andbrothers in al .	11 חלקיהו השני טבליהו השלשי זכריהו הרבעי כל בנים ואחים לחסה שלשה עשר
12 These orders of gatekeepers, al ocated according to their headmen, had duties, just like theirbrothers, of serving in the house of Yahweh.	12 לאלה מחלקות השערים לראשי הגברים משמרות לעמת אחיהם לשרת בבית יהוה
13 Similarly, they drew lots for each gate, whether their families were large or small.	13 ויפילו גורלות כקטן כגדול לבית אבותם לשער ושער
14 For the eastern one, the lot fel to Shelemiah; and when they drew lots for Zechariah his son, ashrewd counsel or, his lot came out for the north.	14 ויפל הגורל מזרחה לשלמיהו וזכריהו בנו יועץ בשכל הפילו גורלות ויצא גורלו צפונה
15 To Obed-Edom went the south, and to his sons the storehouses.	15 לעבד אדם נגבה ולבניו בית האספים
16 To Shuppim and Hosah went the west with the Gate of the Fel ed Tree-trunk on the upper road. Thecorresponding guards were as fol ows:	16 לשפים ולחסה למערב עם שער שלכת במסלה העולה משמר לעמת משמר
17 for the east gate, six per day; for the north gate, four per day; for the south gate, four per day; for thestorehouses, two each;	17 למזרח הלוים ששה לצפונה ליום ארבעה לנגבה ליום ארבעה ולאספים שנים שנים
18 for the Parbar at the west gate, four by the road and two for the Parbar.	18 לפרבר למערב ארבעה למסלה שנים לפרבר
19 These were the orders of the gatekeepers of the sons of Korah and the sons of Merari.	19 אלה מחלקות השערים לבני הקרחי ולבני מררי
20 The Levites, their brothers, who were responsible for the treasures of the house of God and for thetreasures of consecrated gifts,	20 והלוים אחיה על אוצרות בית האלהים ולאצרות הקדשים
21 were the sons of Ladan and belonged to the Gershonites -- the heads of the families of Ladan weredescended from Ladan the Gershonite -- that is to say, the Jehielites.	21 בני לעדן בני הגרשני ללעדן ראשי האבות ללעדן הגרשני יחיאלי
22 The sons of the Jehielites, Zetham and Joel his brother, were responsible for the treasures of thehouse of Yahweh.	22 בני יחיאלי זתם ויואל אחיו על אצרות בית יהוה
23 Over the Amramites, Izharites, Hebronites, and Uzzielites	23 לעמרמי ליצהרי לחברוני לעזיאלי
24 was Shebuel son of Gershom, son of Moses, who was governor of the treasures;	24 ושבאל בן גרשום בן משה נגיד על האצרות
25 and his brothers of the line of Eliezer were Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichrihis son and Shelomoth his son.	25 ואחיו לאליעזר רחביהו בנו וישעיהו בנו וירם בנו וזכרי בנו ושלמות בנו
26 This Shelomoth and his kinsmen were responsible for al the consecrated treasures dedicated byKing David, by the heads of families, by the commanders of the thousands and hundreds and by thecommanders of the army,	26 הוא שלמות ואחיו על כל אצרות הקדשים אשר הקדיש דויד המלך וראשי האבות לשרי האלפים והמאות ושרי הצבא
27 who had dedicated a part of the spoils of war to the service of the house of Yahweh,	27 מן המלחמות ומן השלל הקדישו לחזק לבית יהוה
28 and also for al that Samuel the seer, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner and Joab son of Zeruiahhad dedicated. In fact, whatever was dedicated was the responsibility of Shelomoth and his kinsmen.	28 וכל ההקדיש שמואל הראה ושאול בן קיש ואבנר בן נר ויואב בן צרויה כל המקדיש על יד שלמית ואחיו
29 Of the Izharites, Chananiah and his sons were assigned to secular duties for Israel as officials andjudges.	29 ליצהרי כנניהו ובניו למלאכה החיצונה על ישראל לשטרים ולשפטים
30 Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his kinsmen, one thousand seven hundred outstanding men werein charge of Israel west of Jordan in everything pertaining to Yahweh and to the service of the king.	30 לחברוני חשביהו ואחיו בני חיל אלף ושבע מאות על פקדת ישראל מעבר לירדן מערבה לכל מלאכת יהוה ולעבדת המלך
31 Of the Hebronites, Jerijah was the head. In the fortieth year of David's reign research was done onthe lineage and relationships of the Hebronites, and men of outstanding quality from among them were found atJazer in Gilead.	31 לחברוני יריה הראש לחברוני לתלדתיו לאבות בשנת הארבעים למלכות דויד נדרשו וימצא בהם גבורי חיל ביעזיר גלעד
32 There were twenty-seven hundred outstanding men, heads of families, whom King David put incharge of the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh in al matters pertaining to God and theking.	32 ואחיו בני חיל אלפים ושבע מאות ראשי האבות ויפקידם דויד המלך על הראובני והגדי וחצי שבט המנשי לכל דבר האלהים ודבר המלך
