1 As regards the orders of the gatekeepers: Of the Korahites there was Meshelemiah son of Kore, oneof the sons of Ebiasaph,	1 - Ecco le classi dei portieri appartenenti alla famiglia dei Coriti: Meselemia figliuolo di Core, dei figli di Asaf.
2 and Meshelemiah's sons: Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel thefourth,	2 Figli di Meselemia: Zaccaria il primogenito, Jadiel il secondo, Zabadia il terzo, Jatanael il quarto,
3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.	3 Elam il quinto, Joanan il sesto, Elioenai il settimo.
4 Obed-Edom's sons were: Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sacar thefourth, Nethanel the fifth,	4 Figli di Obededom: Semeia il primogenito, Jozabad il secondo, Joaa il terzo, Sacar il quarto, Natanael il quinto,
5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peul ethai the eighth; God had indeed blessed him.	5 Ammiel il sesto, Issacar il settimo, Follati l'ottavo, poichè il Signore l'avea benedetto.
6 His son Shemaiah also had sons who wielded authority in their family, because they were men ofoutstanding quality.	6 A Semeia poi figlio di lui, nacquero figli che furono capi delle loro famiglie e che erano uomini fortissimi.
7 The sons of Shemaiah were: Othni, Rephael, Obed and Elzabad, whose brothers Elihu andSemachiah were outstanding men.	7 I figli dunque di Semeia: Otni, Rafael, Obed, Elzabad, e i suoi fratelli uomini assai valenti: Eliu e Samachia.
8 Al these were sons of Obed-Edom, who with their sons and brothers were men of standing, wel fittedfor their task. Obed-Edom had sixty-two.	8 Tutti costoro erano figli di Obededom; tanto essi che i figli e fratelli loro, tutti uomini valentissimi nel servizio, erano in numero di sessantadue della casa di Obededom.
9 Meshelemiah had eighteen outstanding sons and brothers.	9 Invece i figli di Meselemia e i loro fratelli assai valenti erano in numero di diciotto.
10 Hosah, one of the sons of Merari, had sons: Shimri was the first, for although he was not the first-born his father had made him the chief.	10 Di Osa, vale a dire dei figli di Merari: Semri fu il capo, (benchè non fosse primogenito, tuttavia fu dal padre suo posto come capo).
11 Hilkiah was the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: Hosah had thirteen sons andbrothers in al .	11 Elcia fu il secondo; Tabelia il terzo, Zaccaria il quarto; tutti i figli e i fratelli di Osa furono tredici.
12 These orders of gatekeepers, al ocated according to their headmen, had duties, just like theirbrothers, of serving in the house of Yahweh.	12 Questi furono distribuiti come portieri, affinchè essi, come principi delle guardie, e così pure i fratelli loro, servissero sempre nella casa del Signore.
13 Similarly, they drew lots for each gate, whether their families were large or small.	13 Essi estrassero le sorti, piccoli e grandi, senza distinzione, secondo le loro famiglie per ciascuna porta.
14 For the eastern one, the lot fel to Shelemiah; and when they drew lots for Zechariah his son, ashrewd counsel or, his lot came out for the north.	14 La parte orientale toccò in sorte a Selemia; invece a Zaccaria suo figlio, che era un uomo prudentissimo e istruito, toccò in sorte la parte settentrionale;
15 To Obed-Edom went the south, and to his sons the storehouses.	15 Obededom e i figli suoi ebbero il lato meridionale, nella quale parte del tempio trovasi il consiglio dei seniori:
16 To Shuppim and Hosah went the west with the Gate of the Fel ed Tree-trunk on the upper road. Thecorresponding guards were as fol ows:	16 Sefim e Osa ebbero il lato occidentale, accanto alla porta che conduce alla via della salita; una guardia era di fronte all'altra guardia.
17 for the east gate, six per day; for the north gate, four per day; for the south gate, four per day; for thestorehouses, two each;	17 Eranvi a oriente sei leviti, a settentrione quattro per giorno, a mezzogiorno pure quattro per giorno, e dove si trovava il consiglio servivano a due a due.
18 for the Parbar at the west gate, four by the road and two for the Parbar.	18 Dal lato di occidente nelle stanze dei portieri ve ne erano quattro sulla strada e due per cella.
19 These were the orders of the gatekeepers of the sons of Korah and the sons of Merari.	19 Queste sono le divisioni dei portieri, figliuoli di Core e Merari. Le guardie del tesoro e altri uffici dei leviti
20 The Levites, their brothers, who were responsible for the treasures of the house of God and for thetreasures of consecrated gifts,	20 Achia vegliava sopra i tesori della casa di Dio e sopra gli utensili del santuario.

26 This Shelomoth and his kinsmen were responsible for al the consecrated treasures dedicated byKing David, by the heads of families, by the commanders of the thousands and hundreds and by thecommanders of the army,	26 Erano lo stesso Selemit e i fratelli suoi i custodi dei tesori del santuario, che il re Davide aveva santificato, ed erano anche principi delle famiglie e tribuni, e centurioni, e duci dell'esercito,
27 who had dedicated a part of the spoils of war to the service of the house of Yahweh,	27 delle cose cioè provenienti dalle guerre e dalle spoglie guerresche e consacrate per il mantenimento del tempio del Signore e de' suoi arredi.
28 and also for al that Samuel the seer, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner and Joab son of Zeruiahhad dedicated. In fact, whatever was dedicated was the responsibility of Shelomoth and his kinsmen.	28 Tutte queste cose eran state consacrate dal veggente Samuele, da Saul figlio di Cis, da Abner figlio di Ner e da Joab figlio di Sarvia; tutti quelli che le consacravano [le affidavano] alle mani di Selemit e de' suoi fratelli.
29 Of the Izharites, Chananiah and his sons were assigned to secular duties for Israel as officials andjudges.	29 Agli Isaariti era stato preposto Conenia e i suoi figliuoli che attendevano alle opere esteriori che riguardavano Israele, cioè ad ammaestrare e a giudicare il popolo.
30 Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his kinsmen, one thousand seven hundred outstanding men werein charge of Israel west of Jordan in everything pertaining to Yahweh and to the service of the king.	30 Degli Ebroniti, Asabia e i suoi fratelli, uomini assai valenti, in numero di millesettecento, furono messi a capo d'Israele abitante al di là del Giordano, a occidente, per tutte le opere del Signore e per il servizio del re.
31 Of the Hebronites, Jerijah was the head. In the fortieth year of David's reign research was done onthe lineage and relationships of the Hebronites, and men of outstanding quality from among them were found atJazer in Gilead.	31 Jeria fu principe degli Ebroniti secondo le loro famiglie e parentele. 32 There were twenty-seven hundred outstanding men, heads of families, whom King David put incharge of the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh in al matters pertaining to God and theking.	32 e i fratelli loro di più matura età in numero di duemilasettecento capi di famiglia: Davide re li fece capi dei Rubeniti e dei Gaditi e di quei della mezza tribù di Manasse per tutti gli affari concernenti Iddio e il re.
