1 Chronicles 22

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA CEI 2008
1 David then said, 'This is to be the house of Yahweh God and this the altar of burnt offering for Israel.'	1 Davide disse: «Questa è la casa del Signore Dio e questo è l’altare per gli olocausti d’Israele».
2 David then gave orders for al foreigners in Israel to be rounded up, and appointed quarrymen to cutdressed stone for building the house of God.	2 Davide ordinò di radunare i forestieri che erano nella terra d’Israele. Quindi diede incarico agli scalpellini perché squadrassero pietre per la costruzione del tempio di Dio.
3 David also prepared great quantities of iron to make nails for the leaves of the doors and for theclamps, and more bronze than could be weighed,	3 Davide preparò ferro in abbondanza per i chiodi dei battenti delle porte e per le spranghe e anche molto bronzo in quantità incalcolabile.
4 as wel as innumerable cedar-wood logs, as the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought cedar logs toDavid in great quantities.	4 Il legno di cedro non si contava, poiché quelli di Sidone e di Tiro avevano portato a Davide molto legno di cedro.
5 David then said, 'My son Solomon is young and immature, and the house to be built for Yahweh mustbe superlatively fine, the most famous and splendid in any country. I shal now make the preparations for it.' Andso, before he died, David made ample preparations.	5 Davide pensava: «Mio figlio Salomone è giovane e inesperto, mentre la costruzione da erigersi per il Signore deve essere straordinariamente grande, tale da suscitare fama e ammirazione in tutto il mondo; per questo ne farò i preparativi io». Davide, prima di morire, fece preparativi imponenti.
6 He then summoned his son Solomon and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, God of Israel.	6 Poi chiamò Salomone, suo figlio, e gli comandò di costruire una casa al Signore, Dio d’Israele.
7 'My son,' David said to Solomon, 'my heart was set on building a house for the name of Yahweh myGod.	7 Davide disse a Salomone: «Figlio mio, io avevo deciso di costruire una casa al nome del Signore, mio Dio.
8 But the word of Yahweh came to me, "You have shed much blood and fought great wars; it is not foryou to build a house for my name, since you have shed much blood in my sight on earth.	8 Ma mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore: “Tu hai versato troppo sangue e hai fatto grandi guerre; per questo non costruirai una casa al mio nome, perché hai versato troppo sangue sulla terra davanti a me.
9 Look, a son will be born to you. He will be a man of peace, and I shal give him peace from hisenemies on all sides; for Solomon is to be his name, and in his days I shal give Israel peace and tranquil ity.	9 Ecco, ti nascerà un figlio, che sarà uomo di pace; io gli concederò la tranquillità da parte di tutti i suoi nemici che lo circondano. Egli si chiamerà Salomone. Nei suoi giorni io concederò pace e tranquillità a Israele.
10 He must build a house for my name; he wil be my son and I shall be his father, and I shall make thethrone of his kingdom secure over Israel for ever."	10 Egli costruirà una casa al mio nome; egli sarà figlio per me e io sarò padre per lui. Stabilirò il trono del suo regno su Israele per sempre”.
11 Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and give you success in building a house for Yahweh yourGod, as he has promised about you.	11 Ora, figlio mio, il Signore sia con te perché tu riesca a costruire una casa al Signore, tuo Dio, come ti ha promesso.
12 And especial y, may Yahweh give you discretion and discernment, may he give you his orders forIsrael, so that you may observe the Law of Yahweh your God.	12 Ebbene, il Signore ti conceda senno e intelligenza, ti ponga a capo d’Israele per osservare la legge del Signore, tuo Dio.
13 Success wil be yours, only if you observe the statutes and ordinances which Yahweh gave Mosesas regulations for Israel. Be strong and stand fast, be fearless, be dauntless.	13 Allora riuscirai, se cercherai di praticare le leggi e le norme che il Signore ha prescritto a Mosè per Israele. Sii forte e coraggioso; non temere e non abbatterti.
14 Now, poor as I am, I have set aside for the house of Yahweh a hundred thousand talents of gold, amil ion talents of silver and more bronze and iron than can be weighed, there being so much. I have alsoprovided timber and stone, to which you may add more.	14 Ecco, anche in mezzo alle angosce, ho preparato per la casa del Signore centomila talenti d’oro, un milione di talenti d’argento, bronzo e ferro in quantità incalcolabile. Inoltre ho preparato legname e pietre; tu ve ne aggiungerai ancora.
15 Furthermore, you have a large number of workmen, quarrymen, masons, carpenters and al sorts ofcraftsmen for every kind of work,	15 Sono con te molti operai, scalpellini e lavoratori della pietra e del legno e ogni artigiano per ogni lavoro.
16 while your gold and silver, bronze and iron wil be beyond reckoning. Set to work, then, and mayYahweh be with you!'	16 L’oro, l’argento, il bronzo e il ferro non si calcolano; su, mettiti al lavoro e il Signore sia con te».
17 David then commanded al the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon.	17 Davide comandò a tutti i capi d’Israele di aiutare Salomone, suo figlio.
18 'Has not Yahweh your God been with you and given you peace on al sides, having put theinhabitants of the country into my power and the country now having been subdued for Yahweh and his people?	18 Disse: «Il Signore, vostro Dio, non è forse con voi e non vi ha concesso tranquillità all’intorno? Difatti ha già messo nelle mie mani gli abitanti della regione; la terra è assoggettata davanti al Signore e davanti al suo popolo.
19 So now devote heart and soul to searching for Yahweh your God. Set to and build the sanctuary ofYahweh God, so that you can bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh and the holy vessels of God into thehouse built for the name of Yahweh.'	19 Ora perciò dedicatevi con il vostro cuore e con la vostra anima alla ricerca del Signore, vostro Dio. Su, costruite il santuario del Signore, vostro Dio, per introdurre l’arca dell’alleanza del Signore e gli oggetti consacrati a Dio nella casa che sarà eretta al nome del Signore».
