1 Chronicles 22

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 David then said, 'This is to be the house of Yahweh God and this the altar of burnt offering for Israel.'	1 E DAVIDE disse: Questa è la Casa del Signore Iddio; e questo è il luogo dell’Altare per gli olocausti ad Israele.
2 David then gave orders for al foreigners in Israel to be rounded up, and appointed quarrymen to cutdressed stone for building the house of God.	2 Poi comandò che si adunassero i forestieri ch’erano nel paese di Israele; ed ordinò gli scarpellini, per tagliar le pietre che si aveano da tagliare, per edificar la Casa di Dio.
3 David also prepared great quantities of iron to make nails for the leaves of the doors and for theclamps, and more bronze than could be weighed,	3 Davide apparecchiò ancora del ferro in gran quantità, per li chiodi, per gli usci delle porte, e per le spranghe, ed i perni; e del rame, in tanta quantità, che il peso ne era senza fine;
4 as wel as innumerable cedar-wood logs, as the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought cedar logs toDavid in great quantities.	4 e legname di cedro senza numero; perciocchè i Sidonii e i Tirii conducevano legname di cedro in gran quantità a Davide.
5 David then said, 'My son Solomon is young and immature, and the house to be built for Yahweh mustbe superlatively fine, the most famous and splendid in any country. I shal now make the preparations for it.' Andso, before he died, David made ample preparations.	5 E Davide diceva: Salomone, mio figliuolo, è fanciullo, e tenero; e la Casa che si deve edificare al Signore, ha da essere sommamente magnifica in fama ed in gloria appo tutti i paesi; ora dunque io gliene farò gli apparecchi. Così Davide, davanti alla sua morte, apparecchiò le materie in gran quantità
6 He then summoned his son Solomon and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, God of Israel.	6 E chiamò Salomone, suo figliuolo, e gli comandò di edificare una Casa al Signore Iddio d’Israele;
7 'My son,' David said to Solomon, 'my heart was set on building a house for the name of Yahweh myGod.	7 e gli disse: Figliuol mio, io avea avuto in cuore di edificare una Casa al Nome del Signore Iddio mio;
8 But the word of Yahweh came to me, "You have shed much blood and fought great wars; it is not foryou to build a house for my name, since you have shed much blood in my sight on earth.	8 ma la parola del Signore mi è sopraggiunta, dicendo: Tu hai sparso molto sangue, ed hai fatte di gran guerre; tu non edificherai la Casa al mio Nome; perciocchè tu hai sparso sangue assai in terra nel mio cospetto.
9 Look, a son will be born to you. He will be a man of peace, and I shal give him peace from hisenemies on all sides; for Solomon is to be his name, and in his days I shal give Israel peace and tranquil ity.	9 Ma ecco, ei ti nascerà un figliuolo, il quale sarà uomo di pace; ed io gli darò riposo da tutti i suoi nemici d’ogn’intorno; perciocchè, come il suo nome sarà Salomone, così al suo tempo io darò pace e quiete ad Israele.
10 He must build a house for my name; he wil be my son and I shall be his father, and I shall make thethrone of his kingdom secure over Israel for ever."	10 Esso edificherà una Casa al mio Nome; ed egli mi sarà figliuolo, ed io gli sarò padre; ed io stabilirò il trono del suo regno sopra Israele in perpetuo.
11 Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and give you success in building a house for Yahweh yourGod, as he has promised about you.	11 Ora, figliuol mio, sia il Signore teco, e prospera, ed edifica la Casa del Signore Iddio tuo, come egli ti ha promesso.
12 And especial y, may Yahweh give you discretion and discernment, may he give you his orders forIsrael, so that you may observe the Law of Yahweh your God.	12 Sol diati il Signore senno e prudenza, quando egli ti costituirà sopra Israele; e ciò, per osservar la Legge del Signore Iddio tuo.
13 Success wil be yours, only if you observe the statutes and ordinances which Yahweh gave Mosesas regulations for Israel. Be strong and stand fast, be fearless, be dauntless.	13 Allora tu prospererai, se tu osservi di mettere ad effetto gli statuti e le leggi, che il Signore ha comandato a Mosè di dare ad Israele. Fortificati, e prendi animo; non temere, e non isgomentarti.
14 Now, poor as I am, I have set aside for the house of Yahweh a hundred thousand talents of gold, amil ion talents of silver and more bronze and iron than can be weighed, there being so much. I have alsoprovided timber and stone, to which you may add more.	14 Or ecco, io, nella mia povertà, ho apparecchiati per la Casa del Signore centomila talenti d’oro, e millemila talenti d’argento; quant’è al rame ed al ferro, il peso n’è senza fine; perciocchè ve n’è in gran quantità; ho eziandio apparecchiato legname e pietre; e tu ve ne potrai aggiugnere ancora più.
15 Furthermore, you have a large number of workmen, quarrymen, masons, carpenters and al sorts ofcraftsmen for every kind of work,	15 Tu hai eziandio appresso di te molti lavoranti, scarpellini, ed artefici di pietre, e di legname, ed ogni sorte d’uomini intendenti in ogni lavorio.
16 while your gold and silver, bronze and iron wil be beyond reckoning. Set to work, then, and mayYahweh be with you!'	16 L’oro, l’argento, il rame, e il ferro è innumerabile. Or mettiti all’opera, e il Signore sarà teco
17 David then commanded al the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon.	17 Davide comandò ancora a tutti i capi d’Israele che porgessero aiuto a Salomone, suo figliuolo.
18 'Has not Yahweh your God been with you and given you peace on al sides, having put theinhabitants of the country into my power and the country now having been subdued for Yahweh and his people?	18 E disse loro: Il Signore Iddio vostro non è egli con voi, e non vi ha egli dato riposo d’ogn’intorno? conciossiachè egli mi abbia dati nelle mani gli abitanti del paese; e il paese è stato soggiogato al Signore, ed al suo popolo.
19 So now devote heart and soul to searching for Yahweh your God. Set to and build the sanctuary ofYahweh God, so that you can bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh and the holy vessels of God into thehouse built for the name of Yahweh.'	19 Ora dunque recate i cuori, e gli animi vostri, a ricercare il Signore Iddio vostro; e mettetevi ad edificare il Santuario del Signore Iddio, per portar l’Arca del Patto del Signore, e i sacri arredi di Dio, dentro alla Casa che si deve edificare al Nome del Signore
