1 Chronicles 22

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 David then said, 'This is to be the house of Yahweh God and this the altar of burnt offering for Israel.'	1 Perciò Davide disse: "Questa è la casa del Signore Dio, e questo è l'altare per gli olocausti d'Israele".
2 David then gave orders for al foreigners in Israel to be rounded up, and appointed quarrymen to cutdressed stone for building the house of God.	2 Allora Davide ordinò di radunare gli stranieri che si trovavano nel territorio d'Israele e diede incarico agli scalpellini di squadrare pietre per la costruzione della casa di Dio.
3 David also prepared great quantities of iron to make nails for the leaves of the doors and for theclamps, and more bronze than could be weighed,	3 Davide preparò ferro in abbondanza per i chiodi dei battenti delle porte e per le grappe di ferro, bronzo in tale abbondanza da non potersi pesare.
4 as wel as innumerable cedar-wood logs, as the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought cedar logs toDavid in great quantities.	4 Il legname di cedro non si contava, giacché quelli di Sidone e di Tiro avevano inviato a Davide legname di cedro in abbondanza.
5 David then said, 'My son Solomon is young and immature, and the house to be built for Yahweh mustbe superlatively fine, the most famous and splendid in any country. I shal now make the preparations for it.' Andso, before he died, David made ample preparations.	5 Davide pensava: "Salomone, mio figlio, è giovane e debole, mentre la casa da costruirsi al Signore dev'essere estremamente magnifica, sì da meritare rinomanza e gloria in tutti i paesi; voglio perciò fare i preparativi per lui". Così Davide, prima di morire, fece abbondanti preparativi.
6 He then summoned his son Solomon and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, God of Israel.	6 Quindi chiamò suo figlio Salomone e gli ordinò di costruire un tempio al Signore, Dio d'Israele.
7 'My son,' David said to Solomon, 'my heart was set on building a house for the name of Yahweh myGod.	7 Davide disse a Salomone: "Figlio mio, io avevo in animo di costruire un tempio al nome del Signore, mio Dio.
8 But the word of Yahweh came to me, "You have shed much blood and fought great wars; it is not foryou to build a house for my name, since you have shed much blood in my sight on earth.	8 Ma mi fu rivolta la parola del Signore in questi termini: "Hai effuso sangue in abbondanza e fatto grandi guerre, perciò non edificherai un tempio al mio nome, perché hai versato sangue in abbondanza sulla terra davanti a me.
9 Look, a son will be born to you. He will be a man of peace, and I shal give him peace from hisenemies on all sides; for Solomon is to be his name, and in his days I shal give Israel peace and tranquil ity.	9 Ecco, ti nascerà un figlio; egli sarà un uomo pacifico; gli concederò la tranquillità da parte di tutti i suoi nemici che lo circondano; egli si chiamerà Salomone e nei suoi giorni darò pace e tranquillità a Israele.
10 He must build a house for my name; he wil be my son and I shall be his father, and I shall make thethrone of his kingdom secure over Israel for ever."	10 Egli costruirà un tempio al mio nome; egli sarà per me un figlio e io sarò per lui un padre. Stabilirò il trono del suo regno su Israele per sempre".
11 Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and give you success in building a house for Yahweh yourGod, as he has promised about you.	11 Ora, figlio mio, il Signore sia con te, perché tu riesca a costruire un tempio al Signore, tuo Dio, come ti ha promesso.
12 And especial y, may Yahweh give you discretion and discernment, may he give you his orders forIsrael, so that you may observe the Law of Yahweh your God.	12 Solamente si degni il Signore di concederti senno e intelligenza affinché tu possa stare alla testa d'Israele per osservare la legge del Signore, tuo Dio.
13 Success wil be yours, only if you observe the statutes and ordinances which Yahweh gave Mosesas regulations for Israel. Be strong and stand fast, be fearless, be dauntless.	13 Allora avrai successo, se avrai cura di praticare i precetti e le norme che il Signore prescrisse a Mosè riguardo a Israele. Sii forte e coraggioso, non temere e non abbatterti!
14 Now, poor as I am, I have set aside for the house of Yahweh a hundred thousand talents of gold, amil ion talents of silver and more bronze and iron than can be weighed, there being so much. I have alsoprovided timber and stone, to which you may add more.	14 Ecco, con fatica ho preparato per il tempio del Signore centomila talenti d'oro, un milione di talenti d'argento, bronzo e ferro da non potersi pesare per la quantità. Inoltre ho preparato legname e pietre; tu ne aggiungerai ancora.
15 Furthermore, you have a large number of workmen, quarrymen, masons, carpenters and al sorts ofcraftsmen for every kind of work,	15 Ti assisteranno molti operai, scalpellini, lavoratori della pietra e del legno ed esperti di ogni specie per qualsiasi lavoro.
16 while your gold and silver, bronze and iron wil be beyond reckoning. Set to work, then, and mayYahweh be with you!'	16 L'oro, l'argento, il bronzo e il ferro non si possono calcolare. Su, mettiti all'opera e il Signore sia con te!".
17 David then commanded al the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon.	17 Davide comandò a tutti i capi d'Israele di aiutare Salomone, suo figlio.
18 'Has not Yahweh your God been with you and given you peace on al sides, having put theinhabitants of the country into my power and the country now having been subdued for Yahweh and his people?	18 Disse: "Non è forse con voi il Signore, vostro Dio, e non vi ha dato riposo tutt'intorno? Infatti egli ha dato in mio potere gli abitanti del paese, e il paese si è assoggettato davanti al Signore e davanti al suo popolo.
19 So now devote heart and soul to searching for Yahweh your God. Set to and build the sanctuary ofYahweh God, so that you can bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh and the holy vessels of God into thehouse built for the name of Yahweh.'	19 Perciò applicatevi col cuore e con l'anima alla ricerca del Signore, vostro Dio. Su! Costruite il santuario del Signore, vostro Dio, per collocare l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore e gli oggetti sacri a Dio nel tempio da erigere al nome del Signore".
