NEW JERUSALEM	Біблія
1 When Solomon had finished building the Temple of Yahweh, the royal palace and everything else whichSolomon had wanted to do,	1 Якже скінчив Соломон будову Господнього храму та царського палацу, і всього, що бажав зробити,
2 Yahweh appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.	2 об’явився йому Господь удруге так, як об’явивсь був у Гівеоні.
3 Yahweh said to him, 'I have heard your prayer and the entreaty which you have before me. I consecratethis temple which you have built: I place my name there for ever; my eyes and my heart wil be there always.	3 Господь сказав йому: «Вислухав я твою молитву і твоє благання, що ти приніс перед мене. Я освятив цей храм, що ти збудував, оселивши там навіки моє ім’я. Очі мої і серце моє будуть там на всі віки.
4 For your part, if you walk before me in innocence of heart and in honesty, like your father David, if youdo everything that I command and keep my laws and my ordinances,	4 Тож як ходитимеш передо мною так, як ходив батько твій Давид, — у чистоті серця і в щирості, та чинитимеш усе, що я тобі заповідав, пильнувавши моїх установ і моїх наказів,
5 I shal make your royal throne secure over Israel for ever, as I promised your father David when I said,"You wil never lack for a man on the throne of Israel."	5 то я зміцню твій царський престол над Ізраїлем повіки, як обіцяв батькові твоєму Давидові словами: не переведеться у тебе той, хто сидітиме на престолі Ізраїля.
6 But if you turn away from me, either you or your descendants, and instead of keeping mycommandments and laws which I have laid down for you, you go and serve other gods and worship them,	6 Коли ж ви й ваші діти відвернетесь від мене і не будете пильнувати заповідей та установ, що я виклав був перед вами, а підете та й іншим богам станете служити і перед ними припадати,
7 then I shal banish Israel from the country which I have given them, and shall disown this Temple which Ihave consecrated for my name, and Israel will be a proverb and a byword among al peoples.	7 то я викоріню Ізраїля з землі, що дав їм, і оцей храм, що я посвятив імені моєму, відкину від обличчя мого, так що Ізраїль стане приказкою та посміховиськом в усіх народах.
8 As for this once-exalted Temple, everyone who passes by wil be appal ed, and they wil whistle and say,"Why has Yahweh treated this country and this Temple like this?"	8 Храм цей стане руїною. Кожен, хто проходитиме повз нього, здивується і буде посвистувати й питати: За що то Господь заподіяв таке цій землі й цьому храмові?
9 And the answer wil be, "Because they deserted Yahweh their God who brought their ancestors out ofEgypt, and they adopted other gods and worshipped and served them; that is why Yahweh has brought al thesedisasters on them." '	9 І йому відкажуть: За те, до вони покинули Господа, Бога свого, який вивів їх із Єгипетської землі, та що пристали до інших богів і припадали перед ними і служили їм, — за те наслав Господь на них усе це лихо.
10 At the end of the twenty years that it took Solomon to erect the two buildings, the Temple of Yahwehand the royal palace	10 Як же минуло 20 років, в яких Соломон звів обидві будівлі, — храм Господній і царський палац, —
11 (Hiram king of Tyre had provided Solomon with al the cedar wood, juniper wood and gold that hewanted), King Solomon gave Hiram twenty towns in the territory of Galilee.	11 Хірам, цар тирський, постачав Соломонові кедрове й кипарисове дерево, а й золото, скільки забажає було, — тоді цар Соломон дав Хірамові 20 міст в галилейській країні.
12 But when Hiram came from Tyre to view the towns that Solomon had given him, he was not pleasedwith them.	12 Вийшов Хірам із Тиру, щоб подивитись на ті міста, що їх дав йому Соломон, та й не подобались вони йому.
13 He said, 'What kind of towns are these you have given me, brother?' And to this day they are known as'cabul-land'.	13 І каже він: „Що це за міста, що ти дав мені, брате?“ І прозвано їх по цей день — земля Кавул.
14 Hiram sent the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold.	14 Хірам же послав був цареві 120 талантів золота.
15 This is an account of the forced labour levied by King Solomon for building the Temple of Yahweh, hisown palace, the Mil o and the fortifications of Jerusalem, Hazor, Megiddo, Gezer	15 А ось те, що стосується робіт, які наклав цар Соломон, щоб збудувати храм Господній, свій палац, Мілло і мур єрусалимський, Хацар, Мегідо і Гезер.
16 (Pharaoh king of Egypt mounted an expedition, captured Gezer, burnt it down and massacred theCanaanites living there; he then gave the town as a dowry to his daughter, Solomon's wife,	16 Фараон, цар єгипетський, напав був і завоював Гезер і спалив його, а ханаанян, що жили в місті, вибив, та й віддав його в віно своїй дочці, Соломоновій жінці.
17 and Solomon rebuilt Gezer), Lower Beth-Horon,	17 Соломон відбудував Гезер та нижчий Бет-Хорон,
18 Baalath, Tamar in the desert, inside the country,	18 Валаат і Тамар у пустині,
19 al Solomon's storage towns owned by Solomon, al the towns for his chariots and horses, andwhatever Solomon was pleased to build in Jerusalem, in the Lebanon and in al the countries under his rule.	19 і всі міста — склади, що належали Соломонові, міста для колісниць, міста для коней і все те, що Соломон хотів збудувати в Єрусалимі, на Ливані й на всій землі, що була йому підвладна.
20 Al those who survived of the Amorite, Hittite, Perizzite, Hivite and Jebusite peoples, who were notIsraelites-	20 Усіх тих, що зосталися з аморіїв, хеттитів, перізіїв та євусіїв, що не були з синів Ізраїля,
21 their descendants still remaining in the country on whom the Israelites had not been able to enforce thecurse of destruction -- these Solomon levied as forced labourers, as is stil the case today.	21 і потомків їхніх, що після них зостались у країні, що їх сини Ізраїля не могли вигубити, цар Соломон забрав до тяжких рабських робіт — по цей день.
22 Solomon did not, however, impose forced labour on the Israelites; for they were soldiers, his officials,his administrators, his officers and his chariot and cavalry commanders.	22 З ізраїльтян же Соломон не зробив нікого рабом. Вони були у нього вояками, урядовцями, начальниками, старшинами та наказними над колісницями та кіннотою.
23 There were five hundred and fifty officials in charge of the foremen over Solomon's work, whosupervised the people employed on the work.	23 Ось наставники, що Соломон призначив над роботами: 550, що давали людям накази при роботі.
24 After Pharaoh's daughter had moved from the City of David up to the palace which he had built for her,he then built the Mil o.	24 Скоро дочка фараонова перейшла з Давидгороду у свій власний, для неї збудований дім, Соломон заходився будувати Мілло.
25 Three times a year Solomon presented burnt offerings and communion sacrifices on the altar which hehad built for Yahweh and set his burnt offerings smoking before Yahweh. Thus he completed the Temple.	25 Соломон жертвував тричі щороку всепалення і мирні жертви на жертовнику, що спорудив Господеві, і палив кадило перед Господом. Так він викінчив храм.
26 King Solomon equipped a fleet at Ezion-Geber, which is near Elath on the shores of the Red Sea, inEdom.	26 Цар Соломон набудував також і кораблів у Еціон-Гевері, що коло Елату, на березі Червоного моря, в Едом-землі.
27 For this fleet Hiram sent men of his, experienced sailors, to serve with those in Solomon's service.	27 Хірам послав на тих кораблях, разом із слугами Соломона, своїх слуг, моряків, що були обізнані з морем,
28 They went to Ophir and took on four hundred and twenty talents of gold, which they brought back toSolomon.	28 і вони прибули в Офір і взяли звідти 420 талантів золота, і привезли до царя Соломона.
