NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 When Solomon had finished building the Temple of Yahweh, the royal palace and everything else whichSolomon had wanted to do,	1 Cuando Salomón hubo acabado de construir la Casa de Yahveh, la casa del rey y todo cuanto Salomón quiso hacer,
2 Yahweh appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.	2 se apareció Yahveh a Salomón por segunda vez, como se le había aparecido en Gabaón.
3 Yahweh said to him, 'I have heard your prayer and the entreaty which you have before me. I consecratethis temple which you have built: I place my name there for ever; my eyes and my heart wil be there always.	3 Yahveh le dijo: «He escuchado la plegaria y la súplica que has dirigido delante de mí. He santificado esta Casa que me has construido para poner en ella mi Nombre para siempre; mis ojos y mi corazón estarán en ella siempre.
4 For your part, if you walk before me in innocence of heart and in honesty, like your father David, if youdo everything that I command and keep my laws and my ordinances,	4 Ahora, si andas en mi presencia como anduvo David tu padre, con corazón perfecto y con rectitud, haciendo todo lo que te ordene y guardando mis decretos y mis sentencias,
5 I shal make your royal throne secure over Israel for ever, as I promised your father David when I said,"You wil never lack for a man on the throne of Israel."	5 afirmaré para siempre el trono de tu realeza sobre Israel como prometí a David tu padre cuando dije: “Ninguno de los tuyos será arrancado de sobre el trono de Israel.”
6 But if you turn away from me, either you or your descendants, and instead of keeping mycommandments and laws which I have laid down for you, you go and serve other gods and worship them,	6 Pero si vosotros, y vuestros hijos después guardáis los mandamientos y los decretos que os he dado, y os vais a servir a otros dioses postrándoos ante ellos,
7 then I shal banish Israel from the country which I have given them, and shall disown this Temple which Ihave consecrated for my name, and Israel will be a proverb and a byword among al peoples.	7 yo arrancaré a Israel de la superficie de la tierra que les he dado; arrojaré de mi presencia esta Casa que yo he consagrado a mi Nombre, e Israel quedará como proverbio y escarnio de todos los pueblos.
8 As for this once-exalted Temple, everyone who passes by wil be appal ed, and they wil whistle and say,"Why has Yahweh treated this country and this Temple like this?"	8 Todos los que pasen ante esta Casa sublime quedarán estupefactos, silbarán y dirán: “¿Por qué ha hecho así Yahveh a esta tierra y a esta Casa?”
9 And the answer wil be, "Because they deserted Yahweh their God who brought their ancestors out ofEgypt, and they adopted other gods and worshipped and served them; that is why Yahweh has brought al thesedisasters on them." '	9 Y se responderá: “Porque abandonaron a Yahveh su Dios, que sacó a sus padres de la tierra de Egipto, y han seguido a otros dioses, se han postrado ante ellos y les han servido, por eso ha hecho venir Yahveh todo este mal sobre ellos”»
10 At the end of the twenty years that it took Solomon to erect the two buildings, the Temple of Yahwehand the royal palace	10 Al cabo de los veinte años, durante los cuales edificó Salomón las dos casas, la Casa de Yahveh y la casa del rey,
11 (Hiram king of Tyre had provided Solomon with al the cedar wood, juniper wood and gold that hewanted), King Solomon gave Hiram twenty towns in the territory of Galilee.	11 como Jiram, rey de Tiro, había proporcionado a Salomón madera de cedro y madera de ciprés y todo el oro que deseaba, entonces el rey Salomón dio a Jiram veinte ciudades de la tierra de Galilea.

14 Hiram sent the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold.	14 Jiram envió al rey 120 talentos de oro.
15 This is an account of the forced labour levied by King Solomon for building the Temple of Yahweh, hisown palace, the Mil o and the fortifications of Jerusalem, Hazor, Megiddo, Gezer	15 Esto es lo referente a la prestación personal que el rey Salomón estableció para construir la Casa de Yahveh y su propia casa, el Milló y la muralla de Jerusalén, Jasor, Meguiddó y Guézer,
16 (Pharaoh king of Egypt mounted an expedition, captured Gezer, burnt it down and massacred theCanaanites living there; he then gave the town as a dowry to his daughter, Solomon's wife,	16 (pues Faraón rey de Egypto había subido y se había apoderado de Guézer, la incendió y mató a los cananeos que habitaban en la ciudad, y se la dio en dote a su hija, la mujer de Salomón,
17 and Solomon rebuilt Gezer), Lower Beth-Horon,	17 y Salomón reconstruyó Guézer) Bet Jorón de abajo,
18 Baalath, Tamar in the desert, inside the country,	18 Baalat y Tamar en el desierto del país,
19 al Solomon's storage towns owned by Solomon, al the towns for his chariots and horses, andwhatever Solomon was pleased to build in Jerusalem, in the Lebanon and in al the countries under his rule.	19 todas las ciudades de aprovisionamiento que tenía Salomón, las ciudades de los carros y las ciudades para los caballos, y todo cuanto Salomón quiso edificar en Jerusalén, en el Líbano y en toda la tierra de su dominio.
20 Al those who survived of the Amorite, Hittite, Perizzite, Hivite and Jebusite peoples, who were notIsraelites-	20 Con toda la gente que había quedado de los amorreos, de los hititas, de los perizitas, de los jivitas, de los jebuseos, que no eran israelitas,
21 their descendants still remaining in the country on whom the Israelites had not been able to enforce thecurse of destruction -- these Solomon levied as forced labourers, as is stil the case today.	21 cuyos descendientes habían quedado después de ellos en el país y a los que los israelitas no habían podido entregar al anatema, hizo Salomón una leva que dura hasta el día de hoy.
22 Solomon did not, however, impose forced labour on the Israelites; for they were soldiers, his officials,his administrators, his officers and his chariot and cavalry commanders.	22 Pero Salomón no empleó a ninguno de los israelitas como esclavo para sus obras, sino que eran sus hombres de guerra, sus oficiales y sus jefes, sus escuderos y jefes de sus carros y de su caballería.
23 There were five hundred and fifty officials in charge of the foremen over Solomon's work, whosupervised the people employed on the work.	23 Estos eran los capataces de los prefectos que estaban al frente de las obras de Salomón; 550 que mandaban a la gente que trabajaba en las obras.
24 After Pharaoh's daughter had moved from the City of David up to the palace which he had built for her,he then built the Mil o.	24 Cuando la hija de Faraón subió de la ciudad de David a la casa que había hecho para ella, entonces edificó el Milló.
25 Three times a year Solomon presented burnt offerings and communion sacrifices on the altar which hehad built for Yahweh and set his burnt offerings smoking before Yahweh. Thus he completed the Temple.	25 Salomón ofrecía holocaustos y sacrificios de comunión tres veces por año en el altar que había edificado a Yahveh y hacía quemar ante Yahveh las ofrendas abrasadas, cuando hubo terminado la Casa.
26 King Solomon equipped a fleet at Ezion-Geber, which is near Elath on the shores of the Red Sea, inEdom.	26 El rey Salomón construyó una flota en Esyón Guéber, que está cerca de Elat, a orillas del mar de Suf, en la tierra de Edom.
27 For this fleet Hiram sent men of his, experienced sailors, to serve with those in Solomon's service.	27 Jiram envió a las naves a sus servidores, marineros, conocedores del mar, con los servidores de Salomón.
28 They went to Ophir and took on four hundred and twenty talents of gold, which they brought back toSolomon.	28 Llegaron a Ofir, y trajeron de allí 420 talentos de oro que llevaron al rey Salomón.
