NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 When Solomon had finished building the Temple of Yahweh, the royal palace and everything else whichSolomon had wanted to do,	1 وكان لما اكمل سليمان بناء بيت الرب وبيت الملك وكل مرغوب سليمان الذي سرّ ان يعمل
2 Yahweh appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.	2 ان الرب تراءى لسليمان ثانية كما تراءى له في جبعون.
3 Yahweh said to him, 'I have heard your prayer and the entreaty which you have before me. I consecratethis temple which you have built: I place my name there for ever; my eyes and my heart wil be there always.	3 وقال له الرب قد سمعت صلاتك وتضرعك الذي تضرعت به امامي. قدّست هذا البيت الذي بنيته لاجل وضع اسمي فيه الى الابد وتكون عيناي وقلبي هناك كل الايام.
4 For your part, if you walk before me in innocence of heart and in honesty, like your father David, if youdo everything that I command and keep my laws and my ordinances,	4 وانت ان سلكت امامي كما سلك داود ابوك بسلامة قلب واستقامة وعملت حسب كل ما اوصيتك وحفظت فرائضي واحكامي
5 I shal make your royal throne secure over Israel for ever, as I promised your father David when I said,"You wil never lack for a man on the throne of Israel."	5 فاني اقيم كرسي ملكك على اسرائيل الى الابد كما كلمت داود اباك قائلا لا يعدم لك رجل عن كرسي اسرائيل.
6 But if you turn away from me, either you or your descendants, and instead of keeping mycommandments and laws which I have laid down for you, you go and serve other gods and worship them,	6 ان كنتم تنقلبون انتم او ابناؤكم من ورائي ولا تحفظون وصاياي فرائضي التي جعلتها امامكم بل تذهبون وتعبدون آلهة اخرى وتسجدون لها
7 then I shal banish Israel from the country which I have given them, and shall disown this Temple which Ihave consecrated for my name, and Israel will be a proverb and a byword among al peoples.	7 فاني اقطع اسرائيل عن وجه الارض التي اعطيتهم اياها والبيت الذي قدسته لاسمي انفيه من امامي ويكون اسرائيل مثلا وهزأة في جميع الشعوب.
8 As for this once-exalted Temple, everyone who passes by wil be appal ed, and they wil whistle and say,"Why has Yahweh treated this country and this Temple like this?"	8 وهذا البيت يكون عبرة. كل من يمرّ عليه يتعجب ويصفر ويقولون لماذا عمل الرب هكذا لهذه الارض ولهذا البيت.
9 And the answer wil be, "Because they deserted Yahweh their God who brought their ancestors out ofEgypt, and they adopted other gods and worshipped and served them; that is why Yahweh has brought al thesedisasters on them." '	9 فيقولون من اجل انهم تركوا الرب الههم الذي اخرج آباءهم من ارض مصر وتمسّكوا بآلهة اخرى وسجدوا لها وعبدوها لذلك جلب الرب عليهم كل هذا الشر
10 At the end of the twenty years that it took Solomon to erect the two buildings, the Temple of Yahwehand the royal palace	10 وبعد نهاية عشرين سنة بعدما بني سليمان البيتين بيت الرب وبيت الملك.
11 (Hiram king of Tyre had provided Solomon with al the cedar wood, juniper wood and gold that hewanted), King Solomon gave Hiram twenty towns in the territory of Galilee.	11 وكان حيرام ملك صور قد ساعف سليمان بخشب ارز وخشب سرو وذهب حسب كل مسرّته. اعطى حينئذ الملك سليمان حيرام عشرين مدينة في ارض الجليل.
12 But when Hiram came from Tyre to view the towns that Solomon had given him, he was not pleasedwith them.	12 فخرج حيرام من صور ليرى المدن التي اعطاه اياها سليمان فلم تحسن في عينيه.
13 He said, 'What kind of towns are these you have given me, brother?' And to this day they are known as'cabul-land'.	13 فقال ما هذه المدن التي اعطيتني يا اخي. ودعاها ارض كابول الى هذا اليوم.
14 Hiram sent the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold.	14 وارسل حيرام للملك مئة وعشرين وزنة ذهب
15 This is an account of the forced labour levied by King Solomon for building the Temple of Yahweh, hisown palace, the Mil o and the fortifications of Jerusalem, Hazor, Megiddo, Gezer	15 وهذا هو سبب التسخير الذي جعله الملك سليمان لبناء بيت الرب وبيته والقلعة وسور اورشليم وحاصور ومجدو وجازر.
16 (Pharaoh king of Egypt mounted an expedition, captured Gezer, burnt it down and massacred theCanaanites living there; he then gave the town as a dowry to his daughter, Solomon's wife,	16 صعد فرعون ملك مصر واخذ جازر واحرقها بالنار وقتل الكنعانيين الساكنين في المدينة واعطاها مهرا لابنته امرأة سليمان.
17 and Solomon rebuilt Gezer), Lower Beth-Horon,	17 وبنى سليمان جازر وبيت حورون السفلى
18 Baalath, Tamar in the desert, inside the country,	18 وبعلة وتدمر في البرية في الارض
19 al Solomon's storage towns owned by Solomon, al the towns for his chariots and horses, andwhatever Solomon was pleased to build in Jerusalem, in the Lebanon and in al the countries under his rule.	19 وجميع مدن المخازن التي كانت لسليمان ومدن المركبات ومدن الفرسان ومرغوب سليمان الذي رغب ان يبنيه في اورشليم وفي لبنان وفي كل ارض سلطنته.
20 Al those who survived of the Amorite, Hittite, Perizzite, Hivite and Jebusite peoples, who were notIsraelites-	20 جميع الشعب الباقين من الاموريين والحثّيين والفرزّيين والحويين واليبوسيين الذين ليسوا من بني اسرائيل
21 their descendants still remaining in the country on whom the Israelites had not been able to enforce thecurse of destruction -- these Solomon levied as forced labourers, as is stil the case today.	21 ابناؤهم الذين بقوا بعدهم في الارض الذين لم يقدر بنو اسرائيل ان يحرموهم جعل عليهم سليمان تسخير عبيد الى هذا اليوم.
22 Solomon did not, however, impose forced labour on the Israelites; for they were soldiers, his officials,his administrators, his officers and his chariot and cavalry commanders.	22 واما بنو اسرائيل فلم يجعل سليمان منهم عبيدا لانهم رجال القتال وخدامه وامراؤه وثوالثه ورؤساء مركباته وفرسانه.
23 There were five hundred and fifty officials in charge of the foremen over Solomon's work, whosupervised the people employed on the work.	23 هؤلاء رؤساء الموكلين على اعمال سليمان خمس مئة وخمسون الذين كانوا يتسلطون على الشعب العاملين العمل
24 After Pharaoh's daughter had moved from the City of David up to the palace which he had built for her,he then built the Mil o.	24 ولكن بنت فرعون صعدت من مدينة داود الى بيتها الذي بناه لها. حينئذ بنى القلعة.
25 Three times a year Solomon presented burnt offerings and communion sacrifices on the altar which hehad built for Yahweh and set his burnt offerings smoking before Yahweh. Thus he completed the Temple.	25 وكان سليمان يصعد ثلاث مرات في السنة محرقات وذبائح سلامة على المذبح الذي بناه للرب وكان يوقد على الذي امام الرب. واكمل البيت
26 King Solomon equipped a fleet at Ezion-Geber, which is near Elath on the shores of the Red Sea, inEdom.	26 وعمل الملك سليمان سفنا في عصيون جابر التي بجانب ايلة على شاطئ بحر سوف في ارض ادوم.
27 For this fleet Hiram sent men of his, experienced sailors, to serve with those in Solomon's service.	27 فارسل حيرام في السفن عبيده النواتي العارفين بالبحر مع عبيد سليمان.
28 They went to Ophir and took on four hundred and twenty talents of gold, which they brought back toSolomon.	28 فأتوا الى اوفير واخذوا من هناك ذهبا اربع مئة وزنة وعشرين وزنة وأتوا بها الى الملك سليمان
