1 King Solomon was king of al Israel,	1 וַיְהִי הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה מֶלֶךְ עַל־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ ס
2 and these were his high officials: Azariah son of Zadok, priest;	2 וְאֵלֶּה הַשָּׂרִים אֲשֶׁר־לֹו עֲזַרְיָהוּ בֶן־צָדֹוק הַכֹּהֵן׃ ס
3 Elihaph and Ahijah sons of Shisha, secretaries; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud, herald.	3 אֱלִיחֹרֶף וַאֲחִיָּה בְּנֵי שִׁישָׁא סֹפְרִים יְהֹושָׁפָט בֶּן־אֲחִילוּד הַמַּזְכִּיר
4 (Benaiah son of Jehoiada, commander of the army. Zadok and Abiathar, priests);	4 וּבְנָיָהוּ בֶן־יְהֹויָדָע עַל־הַצָּבָא וְצָדֹוק וְאֶבְיָתָר כֹּהֲנִים׃ ס
5 Azariah son of Nathan, chief administrator; Zabud son of Nathan, Friend of the King;	5 וַעֲזַרְיָהוּ בֶן־נָתָן עַל־הַנִּצָּבִים וְזָבוּד בֶּן־נָתָן כֹּהֵן רֵעֶה הַמֶּלֶךְ
6 Ahishar, master of the palace; Eliab son of Joab, commander of the army; Adoram son of Abda, incharge of forced labour.	6 וַאֲחִישָׁר עַל־הַבָּיִת וַאֲדֹנִירָם בֶּן־עַבְדָּא עַל־הַמַּס׃ ס
7 Solomon had twelve administrators for al Israel who saw to the provisioning of the king and hishousehold; each had to provide for one month in the year.	7 וְלִשְׁלֹמֹה שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂר נִצָּבִים עַל־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל וְכִלְכְּלוּ אֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְ וְאֶת־בֵּיתֹו חֹדֶשׁ בַּשָּׁנָה יִהְיֶה עַל־ [אֶחָד כ] (הָאֶחָד ק) לְכַלְכֵּל׃ ס
8 These are their names: Son of Hur, in the mountain country of Ephraim.	8 וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמֹותָם בֶּן־חוּר בְּהַר אֶפְרָיִם׃ ס
9 Son of Deker, in Makaz, Shaalbim, Beth-Shemesh, Aijalon, Beth-Hanan.	9 בֶּן־דֶּקֶר בְּמָקַץ וּבְשַׁעַלְבִים וּבֵית שָׁמֶשׁ וְאֵילֹון בֵּית חָנָן׃ ס
10 Son of Hesed, in Arubboth; his district was Socoh and the whole territory of Hepher.	10 בֶּן־חֶסֶד בָּאֲרֻבֹּות לֹו שֹׂכֹה וְכָל־אֶרֶץ חֵפֶר׃ ס
11 Son of Abinadab, al the Slopes of Dor. Tabaath Solomon's daughter was his wife.	11 בֶּן־אֲבִינָדָב כָּל־נָפַת דֹּאר טָפַת בַּת־שְׁלֹמֹה הָיְתָה לֹּו לְאִשָּׁה׃ ס
12 Baana son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo as far as the other side of Jokmeam, and all Beth-Shean below Jezreel, from Beth-Shean as far as Abel-Meholah by Zarethan.	12 בַּעֲנָא בֶּן־אֲחִילוּד תַּעְנַךְ וּמְגִדֹּו וְכָל־בֵּית שְׁאָן אֲשֶׁר אֵצֶל צָרְתַנָה מִתַּחַת לְיִזְרְעֶאל מִבֵּית שְׁאָן עַד אָבֵל מְחֹולָה עַד מֵעֵבֶר לְיָקְמֳעָם׃ ס
13 Son of Geber, in Ramoth-Gilead: his district was the Encampments of Jair son of Manasseh, which arein Gilead; he had the region of Argob, which is in Bashan: sixty fortified towns, wal ed and with bolts of bronze.	13 בֶּן־גֶּבֶר בְּרָמֹת גִּלְעָד לֹו חַוֹּת יָאִיר בֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁה אֲשֶׁר בַּגִּלְעָד לֹו חֶבֶל אַרְגֹּב אֲשֶׁר בַּבָּשָׁן שִׁשִּׁים עָרִים גְּדֹלֹות חֹומָה וּבְרִיחַ נְחֹשֶׁת׃ ס
14 Ahinadab son of Iddo, in Mahanaim.	14 אֲחִינָדָב בֶּן־עִדֹּא מַחֲנָיְמָה
15 Ahimaaz in Naphtali; he too married a daughter of Solomon, Basemath.	15 אֲחִימַעַץ בְּנַפְתָּלִי גַּם־הוּא לָקַח אֶת־בָּשְׂמַת בַּת־שְׁלֹמֹה לְאִשָּׁה
16 Baana son of Hushai, in Asher and in the highlands.	16 בַּעֲנָא בֶּן־חוּשָׁי בְּאָשֵׁר וּבְעָלֹות׃ ס
17 Jehoshaphat son of Paruah, in Issachar.	17 יְהֹושָׁפָט בֶּן־פָּרוּחַ בְּיִשָׂשכָר׃ ס
18 Shimei son of Ela, in Benjamin.	18 שִׁמְעִי בֶן־אֵלָא בְּבִנְיָמִן׃ ס
19 Geber son of Uri, in the territory of Gad, the territory of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king ofBashan. In addition, there was one administrator in the country.	19 גֶּבֶר בֶּן־אֻרִי בְּאֶרֶץ גִּלְעָד אֶרֶץ סִיחֹון ׀ מֶלֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִי וְעֹג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן וּנְצִיב אֶחָד אֲשֶׁר בָּאָרֶץ
20 Judah and Israel were numerous, as numerous as the sand on the sea-shore; they ate and drank andwere happy.	20 יְהוּדָה וְיִשְׂרָאֵל רַבִּים כַּחֹול אֲשֶׁר־עַל־הַיָּם לָרֹב אֹכְלִים וְשֹׁתִים וּשְׂמֵחִים
