Psalms 92

1 A psalm. A sabbath song.	1 Salmo. Canto. Per il giorno del sabato.
2 It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praise to your name, Most High,	2 È bello rendere grazie al Signoree cantare al tuo nome, o Altissimo,
3 To proclaim your love in the morning, your faithfulness in the night,	3 annunciare al mattino il tuo amore,la tua fedeltà lungo la notte,
4 With the ten-stringed harp, with melody upon the lyre.	4 sulle dieci corde e sull’arpa,con arie sulla cetra.
5 For you make me jubilant, LORD, by your deeds; at the works of your hands I shout for joy.	5 Perché mi dai gioia, Signore, con le tue meraviglie,esulto per l’opera delle tue mani.
6 How great are your works, LORD! How profound your purpose!	6 Come sono grandi le tue opere, Signore,quanto profondi i tuoi pensieri!
7 A senseless person cannot know this; a fool cannot comprehend.	7 L’uomo insensato non li conoscee lo stolto non li capisce:
8 Though the wicked flourish like grass and all sinners thrive, They are destined for eternal destruction;	8 se i malvagi spuntano come l’erbae fioriscono tutti i malfattori,è solo per la loro eterna rovina,
9 for you, LORD, are forever on high.	9 ma tu, o Signore, sei l’eccelso per sempre.
10 Indeed your enemies, LORD, indeed your enemies shall perish; all sinners shall be scattered.	10 Ecco, i tuoi nemici, o Signore,i tuoi nemici, ecco, periranno,saranno dispersi tutti i malfattori.
11 You have given me the strength of a wild bull; you have poured rich oil upon me.	11 Tu mi doni la forza di un bufalo,mi hai cosparso di olio splendente.
12 My eyes look with glee on my wicked enemies; my ears delight in the fall of my foes.	12 I miei occhi disprezzeranno i miei nemicie, contro quelli che mi assalgono,i miei orecchi udranno sventure.
13 The just shall flourish like the palm tree, shall grow like a cedar of Lebanon.	13 Il giusto fiorirà come palma,crescerà come cedro del Libano;
14 Planted in the house of the LORD, they shall flourish in the courts of our God.	14 piantati nella casa del Signore,fioriranno negli atri del nostro Dio.
15 They shall bear fruit even in old age, always vigorous and sturdy,	15 Nella vecchiaia daranno ancora frutti,saranno verdi e rigogliosi,
16 As they proclaim: "The LORD is just; our rock, in whom there is no wrong."	16 per annunciare quanto è retto il Signore,mia roccia: in lui non c’è malvagità.
