NEW AMERICAN BIBLENOVA VULGATA
1 A psalm. A sabbath song.1 Psalmus. Canticum. Pro die Sabbati.
2 It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praise to your name, Most High,2 Bonum est confiteri Domino
et psallere nomini tuo, Altissime,
3 To proclaim your love in the morning, your faithfulness in the night,3 annuntiare mane misericordiam tuam
et veritatem tuam per noctem
4 With the ten-stringed harp, with melody upon the lyre.4 in decachordo et psalterio,
cum cantico in cithara.
5 For you make me jubilant, LORD, by your deeds; at the works of your hands I shout for joy.5 Quia delectasti me, Domine, in factura tua,
et in operibus manuum tuarum exsultabo.
6 How great are your works, LORD! How profound your purpose!6 Quam magnificata sunt opera tua, Domine:
nimis profundae factae sunt cogitationes tuae.
7 A senseless person cannot know this; a fool cannot comprehend.7 Vir insipiens non cognoscet,
et stultus non intelleget haec.
8 Though the wicked flourish like grass and all sinners thrive, They are destined for eternal destruction;8 Cum germinaverint peccatores sicut fenum,
et floruerint omnes, qui operantur iniquitatem,
hoc tamen erit ad interitum in saeculum saeculi;
9 for you, LORD, are forever on high.9 tu autem altissimus in aeternum, Domine.
10 Indeed your enemies, LORD, indeed your enemies shall perish; all sinners shall be scattered.10 Quoniam ecce inimici tui, Domine,
quoniam ecce inimici tui peribunt,
et dispergentur omnes, qui operantur iniquitatem.
11 You have given me the strength of a wild bull; you have poured rich oil upon me.11 Exaltabis sicut unicornis cornu meum,
perfusus sum oleo uberi.
12 My eyes look with glee on my wicked enemies; my ears delight in the fall of my foes.12 Et despiciet oculus meus inimicos meos,
et in insurgentibus in me malignantibus audiet auris mea. -
13 The just shall flourish like the palm tree, shall grow like a cedar of Lebanon.13 Iustus ut palma florebit,
sicut cedrus Libani succrescet.
14 Planted in the house of the LORD, they shall flourish in the courts of our God.14 Plantati in domo Domini,
in atriis Dei nostri florebunt.
15 They shall bear fruit even in old age, always vigorous and sturdy,15 Adhuc fructus dabunt in senecta,
uberes et bene virentes erunt,
16 As they proclaim: "The LORD is just; our rock, in whom there is no wrong."16 ut annuntient quoniam rectus Dominus,
refugium meum, et non est iniquitas in eo.
