2 Do you indeed pronounce justice, O gods; do you judge mortals fairly?	2 Amministrate forse la giustizia con fedeltà, o potenti? Governate forse con rettitudine, o figli degli uomini?
3 No, you freely engage in crime; your hands dispense violence to the earth.	3 Ma voi nel cuore operate iniquità, tessono violenza le vostre mani nel paese.
4 The wicked have been corrupt since birth; liars from the womb, they have gone astray.	4 Sviati sono gli empi fin dalla nascita, fin dal seno materno sono traviati quelli che dicono menzogne.
5 Their poison is like the poison of a snake, like that of a serpent stopping its ears,	5 Hanno veleno come quello del serpente, dell'aspide sordo, che si tura le orecchie,
6 So as not to hear the voice of the charmer who casts such cunning spells.	6 che non dà retta alla voce dell'incantatore, neppure dell'incantatore più esperto.
7 O God, smash the teeth in their mouths; break the jaw-teeth of these lions, LORD!	7 O Dio, spezza i loro denti nella loro bocca, frantuma, o Signore, i loro molari leonini.
8 Make them vanish like water flowing away; trodden down, let them wither like grass.	8 Si dileguino come fluida acqua, dissecchino come fieno che si calpesta,
9 Let them dissolve like a snail that oozes away, like an untimely birth that never sees the sun.	9 come la cera che si scioglie e svanisce, come un aborto di donna che non ha mai visto il sole.
10 Suddenly, like brambles or thistles, have the whirlwind snatch them away.	10 Prima che le vostre pentole sentano il calore del pruno, ancor vivo, come in un turbine, se lo porti via!
11 Then the just shall rejoice to see the vengeance and bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.	11 Si rallegrerà il giusto alla vista della vendetta, i suoi piedi laverà nel sangue degli empi.
12 Then it will be said: "Truly there is a reward for the just; there is a God who is judge on earth!"	12 E dirà la gente: "Certo, c'è un premio per il giusto! Certo, c'è Dio che governa sulla terra!".
