1 Why do the nations protest and the peoples grumble in vain?	1 Pourquoi tout ce tapage des nations? Voyez ces peuples et leur projet sans espoir.
2 Kings on earth rise up and princes plot together against the LORD and his anointed:	2 Les rois de la terre se sont alliés, les grands chefs se sont soulevés contre le Seigneur et contre son Christ.
3 "Let us break their shackles and cast off their chains!"	3 Ils ont dit: “Brisons leurs entraves, débarrassons-nous de leur joug.”
4 The one enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord derides them,	4 Celui qui siège dans les cieux s’en amuse, le Seigneur se moque d’eux.
5 Then speaks to them in anger, terrifies them in wrath:	5 Voilà qu’il leur parle tout en colère et sa fureur les épouvante. Il dit:
6 "I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain."	6 “Moi, je viens d’établir mon roi sur Sion, ma montagne sainte.”
7 I will proclaim the decree of the LORD, who said to me, "You are my son; today I am your father.	7 Oui, je vais proclamer le décret du Seigneur, il m’a dit: “Tu es mon fils, moi aujourd’hui, je t’ai transmis la vie.
8 Only ask it of me, and I will make your inheritance the nations, your possession the ends of the earth.	8 Demande-moi et je te donnerai les nations, elles seront à toi jusqu’au bout du monde.
9 With an iron rod you shall shepherd them, like a clay pot you will shatter them."	9 Tu les mèneras avec un sceptre de fer, tu les briseras comme un pot de terre.”
10 And now, kings, give heed; take warning, rulers on earth.	10 Alors soyez sages, messieurs les rois, tenez-en compte, vous qui gouvernez le monde.
11 Serve the LORD with fear; with trembling bow down in homage, Lest God be angry and you perish from the way in a sudden blaze of anger. Happy are all who take refuge in God!	11 Servez le Seigneur avec crainte,
	12 rendez-lui hommage et tremblez. Car sa colère n’est pas longue à partir, qu’il vienne à s’impatienter et vous êtes perdus. Heureux ceux qui se confient en lui!
