1 Benjamin became the father of Bela, his first-born, Ashbel, the second son, Aharah, the third,	1 Now Benjamin conceived Bela as his firstborn, Ashbel the second, Aharah the third,
2 Nohah, the fourth, and Rapha, the fifth.	2 Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
3 The sons of Bela were Addar and Gera, the father of Ehud.	3 And the sons of Bela were: Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,
4 The sons of Ehud were Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,	4 as well as Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah,
5 Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram.	5 then also Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.
6 These were the sons of Ehud, family heads over those who dwelt in Geba and were deported to Manahath.	6 These are the sons of Ehud, leaders of the kindred living in Geba, who were moved away to Manahath.

9 By his wife Hodesh he became the father of Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,	9 and so, of his wife Hodesh, he conceived Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam,
10 Jeuz, Sachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, family heads.	10 and also Jeuz and Sachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, the leaders of their families.
11 By Hushim he became the father of Abitub and Elpaal.	11 Truly, of Hushim he conceived Abitub and Elpaal.
12 The sons of Elpaal were Eber, Misham, Shemed, who built Ono and Lod with its nearby towns,	12 And the sons of Elpaal were Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono and Lod and its daughters.
13 Beriah, and Shema. They were family heads of those who dwelt in Aijalon, and they put the inhabitants of Gath to flight.	13 Now Beriah and Shema were leaders of their families living in Aijalon; these put to flight the inhabitants of Gath.
14 Their brethren were Elpaal, Shashak, and Jeremoth.	14 And Ahio, and Shashak, and Jeremoth,
15 Zebadiah, Arad, Eder,	15 and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder,
16 Michael, Ishpah, and Joha were the sons of Beriah.	16 as well as Michael, and Ishpah, and Joha, were the sons of Beriah.

29 In Gibeon dwelt Jeiel, the founder of Gibeon, whose wife's name was Maacah;	29 Now in Gibeon, there lived Jeiel, the father of Gibeon; and the name of his wife was Maacah,
30 also his first-born son, Abdon, and Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,	30 and his firstborn son was Abdon, and then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,
31 Gedor, Ahio, Zecher, and Mikloth.	31 and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher, and Mikloth.
32 Mikloth became the father of Shimeah. These, too, dwelt with their relatives in Jerusalem, opposite their fellow tribesmen.	32 And Mikloth conceived Shimeah. And they lived opposite their brothers in Jerusalem, with their brothers.
33 Ner became the father of Kish, and Kish became the father of Saul. Saul became the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaal.	33 Now Ner conceived Kish, and Kish conceived Saul. Then Saul conceived Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
34 The son of Jonathan was Meribbaal, and Meribbaal became the father of Micah.	34 And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal; and Meribbaal conceived Micah.
35 The sons of Micah were Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz.	35 The sons of Micah were Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.
36 Ahaz became the father of Jehoaddah, and Jehoaddah became the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri became the father of Moza.	36 And Ahaz conceived Jehoaddah. And Jehoaddah conceived Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri. And Zimri conceived Moza.
37 Moza became the father of Binea, whose son was Raphah, whose son was Eleasah, whose son was Azel.	37 And Moza conceived Binea, whose son was Raphah, of whom was born Eleasah, who conceived Azel.
38 Azel had six sons, whose names were Azrikam, his first-born, Ishmael, Sheariah, Azariah, Obadiah, and Hanan; all these were the sons of Azel.	38 Now there were six sons for Azel, whose names were Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.
39 The sons of Eshek, his brother, were Ulam, his first-born, Jeush, the second son, and Eliphelet, the third.	39 Then the sons of Eshek, his brother, were Ulam the firstborn, and Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
40 The sons of Ulam were combat archers, and many were their sons and grandsons: one hundred and fifty. All these were the descendants of Benjamin.	40 And the sons of Ulam were very robust men, drawing the bow with great strength. And they had many sons and grandsons, even to one hundred fifty. All these were sons of Benjamin.
