1 Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.	1 ¡Acuérdate, Yahveh, de lo que nos ha sobrevenido, mira y ve nuestro oprobio!
2 Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.	2 Nuestra heredad ha pasado a extranjeros, nuestras casas a extraños.
3 We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.	3 Somos huérfanos, sin padre; nuestras madres, como viudas.
4 We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.	4 A precio de plata bebemos nuestra agua, nuestra leña nos llega por dinero.
5 Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest.	5 El yugo a nuestro cuello, andamos acosados; estamos agotados, no se nos da respiro.
6 We have given the hand to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.	6 Hacia Egipto tendemos nuestra mano, hacia Asur para quitar el hambre.
7 Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.	7 Nuestros padres pecaron: ya no existen; y nosotros cargamos con sus culpas.
8 Servants have ruled over us: there is none that doth deliver us out of their hand.	8 Esclavos nos dominan, nadie nos libra de su mano.
9 We gat our bread with the peril of our lives because of the sword of the wilderness.	9 A riesgo de la vida logramos nuestro pan, afrontando la espada del desierto.
10 Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.	10 Nuestra piel abrasa como un horno, a causa del ardor del hambre.
11 They ravished the women in Zion, and the maids in the cities of Judah.	11 Han violado a las mujeres en Sión, a las vírgenes en las ciudades de Judá.
12 Princes are hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured.	12 Colgados fueron por sus manos los príncipes; la faz de los ancianos no ha sido respetada.
13 They took the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood.	13 Han arrastrado la muela los muchachos, bajo la leña se han doblado los niños.
14 The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their musick.	14 Los ancianos han dejado de acudir a la puerta, los muchachos han parado sus cantares.
15 The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.	15 Ha cesado la alegría de nuestro corazón, se ha trocado en duelo nuestra danza.
16 The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!	16 Ha caído la corona de nuestra cabeza. ¡Ay de nosotros, que hemos pecado!
17 For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.	17 Por eso está dolorido nuestro corazón, por eso se nublan nuestros ojos:
18 Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.	18 por el monte Sión, que está asolado; ¡las raposas merodean en él!
19 Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.	19 Mas tú, Yahveh, para siempre te sientas; ¡tu trono de generación en generación!
20 Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time?	20 ¿Por qué has de olvidarnos para siempre, por qué toda la vida abandonarnos?
21 Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.	21 ¡Haznos volver a ti, Yahveh, y volveremos. Renueva nuestros días como antaño,
22 But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.	22 si es que no nos has desechado totalmente, irritado contra nosotros sin medida!
