¹ If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;	¹ Canto de peregrinación. De David. Si el Señor no hubiera estado de nuestra parte –que lo diga Israel–,
² If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:	² si el Señor no hubiera estado de nuestra parte, cuando los hombres se alzaron contra nosotros,
³ Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:	³ nos habrían devorado vivos. Cuando ardió su furor contra nosotros,
⁴ Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:	⁴ las aguas nos habrían inundado, un torrente nos habría sumergido,
⁵ Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.	⁵ nos habrían sumergido las aguas turbulentas.
⁶ Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.	⁶ ¡Bendito sea el Señor, que no nos entregó como presa de sus dientes!
⁷ Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.	⁷ Nuestra vida se salvó como un pájaro de la trampa del cazador: la trampa se rompió y nosotros escapamos.
⁸ Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.	⁸ Nuestra ayuda está en el nombre del Señor, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
