1 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;	1 Cantico di Maalot, di Davide. DICA pure ora Israele: Se non che il Signore fu per noi;
2 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:	2 Se non che il Signore fu per noi, Quando gli uomini si levarono contro a noi;
3 Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:	3 Essi ci avrebbero tranghiottiti tutti vivi, Allora che l’ira loro ardeva contro a noi;
4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:	4 Allora le acque ci avrebbero inondati; Il torrente sarebbe passato sopra l’anima nostra;
