Біблія	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ось потомство Ісава, він же Едом.	1 These are the descendants of Esau, that is, Edom.
2 Ісав узяв собі жінок з дочок Ханаану: Аду, дочку Елона, хеттита, Оголіваму, дочку Ани, сина Цівона, хіввія,	2 Esau chose his wives from the women of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, Oholibamahdaughter of Anah, son of Zibeon the Horite,
3 і Басмат, дочку Ізмаїла, сестру Невайота.	3 Basemath daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.
4 Ада ж породила Ісавові Еліфаза, а Басмат породила Реуела.	4 Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel,
5 Оголівама породила Єуша, Алама й Кораха. Це сини Ісава, які народилися в нього в Ханаан-краю.	5 Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the sons of Esau born to him in Canaan.
6 Та взяв Ісав своїх жінок, своїх синів, своїх дочок, усіх зо свого дому, своє майно, всю свою худобу й усі свої статки, що був їх придбав у Ханаан-краю, і пішов в інший, Сеїр-край, далеко від Якова, свого брата,	6 Esau took his wives, his sons and daughters, al the members of his household, his livestock, al hiscattle and al the goods he had acquired in Canaan and left for Seir, away from his brother Jacob.
7 бо майно їхнє було занадто велике, щоб сидіти разом, і край, в якому вони кочували, не міг їх виживити заради їхніх великих стад.	7 For they had acquired too much to live together. The land in which they were at that time could notsupport them both because of their livestock.
8 І оселивсь Ісав на Сеїр-горах; Ісав — він же Едом.	8 That is why Edom settled in the mountainous region of Seir. Esau is Edom.
9 А це потомство Ісава, батька Едома, на Сеїр-узгір’ях.	9 These are the descendants of Esau, ancestor of Edom, in the mountainous region of Seir.
10 Імена синів Ісава: Еліфаз, син Ади, жінки Ісава; Реуел, син Басмати, жінки Ісава.	10 These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz son of Esau's wife Adah, and Reuel son of Esau's wifeBasemath.
11 Сини ж Еліфаза були: Теман, Омар, Цефо, Гатам та Кеназ.	11 The sons of Eliphaz were: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam and Kenaz.
12 А Тімна була наложниця Еліфаза, Ісавового сина, і вродила Еліфазові Амалека. Це потомки Ади, жінки Ісава.	12 Eliphaz son of Esau had Timna for concubine and she bore him Amalek. These were the sons ofEsau's wife Adah.
13 А сини Реуела: Нахат, Зерах, Шамма й Мізза. Оце потомки Басмати, жінки Ісава.	13 These were the sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These were the sons ofEsau's wife Basemath.
14 Це були сини Оголівами, Ісавової жінки, дочки Ани, сина Цівона. Вона породила Ісавові Суша, Ялама й Кораха.	14 And these were the sons of Esau's wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah, son of Zibeon: she bore himJeush, Jalam and Korah.
15 Ось старші синів Ісава. Сини Еліфаза, первістка Ісава: старший Теман, старший Омар, старший Цефо, старший Кеназ,	15 These are the chieftains of Esau. The descendants of Eliphaz, Esau's eldest son: the chieftains ofTeman, Omar, Zepho, Kenaz,
16 старший Корах, старший Гатам, старший Амалек. Це старші Еліфаза в Едом-краю, це нащадки Ади.	16 Gatam and Amalek. These are the chieftains of Eliphaz in Edom and are descended from Adah.
17 А це сини Реуела, сина Ісава: старший Нахат, старший Зерах, старший Шамма, старший Мізза. Це старші Реуела в Едом-краю, це нащадки Басмати, жінки Ісава.	17 The descendants of Esau's son Reuel: the chieftains of Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.These are the chieftains of Reuel in Edom and are descended from Esau's wife Basemath.
18 Оголівами ж сини, жінки Ісава, такі: старший Суш, старший Ялам, старший Корах. Це старші Оголівами, дочки Ани, жінки Ісава.	18 The descendants of Esau's wife Oholibamah: the chieftains of Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These arethe chieftains of Esau's wife Oholibamah daughter of Anah.
19 Це нащадки Ісава й це їх старші. Це Едом.	19 These were the sons of Esau -- that is, Edom -- and these are their chieftains.
20 Ось сини Сеїра Хорія, мешканці краю: Лотан, Шовал, Цівон, Ана,	20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, natives of the country: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
21 Дішон, Ецер і Дішан. Це вожді хоріїв, синів Сеїра в Едом-краю.	21 Dishon, Ezer and Dishan; these were the Horite chieftains descended from Seir, in Edom.
22 Сини ж Лотана були Хорі та Геман, а сестра Лотана була Тімна.	22 The sons of Lotan were Hori and Hemam, and Lotan's sister was Timna.
23 А це сини Шовала: Алван, Монахат, Евал, Шефо й Онам.	23 These are the sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
24 Сини ж Цівона оті: Айя і Ана; цей Ана, що знайшов гарячі джерела в пустарях, коли пас ослів Цівона, свого батька.	24 These are the sons of Zibeon: Aiah, Anah -- the Anah who found the hot springs in the desert whilepasturing his father Zibeon's donkeys.
25 А діти Ани були: Дішон і Оголівама, дочка Ани.	25 These are the children of Anah: Dishon, and Oholibamah daughter of Anah.
26 Ось сини Дішона: Химдан, Ешбан, Ітран і Херан.	26 These are the sons of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran and Cheran.
27 Сини ж Ецера такі: Білган, Зааван і Акан.	27 These are the sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan and Akan.
28 А сини Дішана: Уц і Аран.	28 These are the sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
29 Це — є старші хоріїв: старший Лотан, старший Шовал, старший Цівон, старший Ана,	29 These are the Horite chieftains: the chieftains of Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
30 старший Дішон, старший Ецер, старший Дішан. Це старійшини хоріїв, за родами, в Сеїр-краю.	30 Dishon, Ezer and Dishan. These are the chieftains of the Horites, by their clans, in Seir.
31 А ось царі, що царювали в Едом-краю, перше, ніж царював там цар Ізраїля.	31 These are the kings who reigned in Edom before an Israelite king.
32 В Едомі царював Бела, син Беора; а його місто звалося Дінгава.	32 In Edom reigned Bela son of Beor; his city was cal ed Dinhabah.
33 Та помер Бела й замість нього царював Йовав, син Зераха, з Боцри.	33 Bela died and Jobab son of Zerah, from Bozrah, succeeded.
34 Умер же Йовав і замість нього царював Хушам, із краю теманіїв.	34 Jobab died and Husham from the land of the Temanites succeeded.
35 Умер і Хушам і замість нього царював Гадад, син Бедада, який розбив мідіянів на полі Моава, а його місто було Авіт.	35 Husham died and Hadad son of Bedad succeeded; he defeated the Midianites in Moab, and his citywas called Avith.
36 І помер Гадад, замість нього ж царював Самла з Масреки.	36 Hadad died and Samlah of Masrekah succeeded.
37 Помер і Самла й замість нього царював Саул з Реховоту, над Рікою.	37 Samlah died and Shaul of Rehoboth-ha-Nahar succeeded.
38 Умер Саул і замість нього царював Ваал-Ханан, син Ахбора.	38 Shaul died and Baal-Hanan son of Achbor succeeded.
39 Помер і Ваал-Ханан і замість нього царював Гадад; його ж місто звалося Пау, а ім’я його жінки було Мегедавель, дочка Матреда, внучка Мезагава.	39 Baal-Hanan died and Hadad succeeded; his city was called Pau and his wife's name was Mehetabeldaughter of Matred, from Mezahab.
40 Це імена старійшин Ісава, за їхніми родинами, за їхніми околицями, за їхніми назвиськами: старший Тімна, старший Алва, старший Єтет,	40 These are the names of the chieftains of Esau -- according to their clans and localities: the chieftainsof Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,
41 старший Оголівама, старший Ела, старший Пінон,	41 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,
42 старший Кеназ, старший Теман, старший Мівцар,	42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
43 старший Магдіел, старший Ірам. Це едомські старші, по їхніх оселях, у займаному ними краї. Оце Ісав, батько Едому.	43 Magdiel and Iram. These are the chieftains of Edom, as settled in the territory which they own. Esauwas Edom's ancestor.
