| 1 ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܘܫܐ. ܬܘܒ ܡܚܘܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܡܝ̇ܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠ ܦܪܥܘܢ ܘܥܠ ܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ. ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܫܕܪܟܘܢ ܡܟܐ. ܘܡܐ ܕܫܕܪܬܟܘܢ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܦܘܩܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܟܐ. | 1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'I shal inflict one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt, after which he willet you go away. When he lets you go, he wil actually drive you out! |
| 2 ܘܐܡܪ ܩܕܡ ܥܡܐ. ܢܫܐ̣ܠܘܢ ܐܢܫ ܓܒܪ ܡܢ ܚܒܪܗ ܘܐܢܬܬܐ ܡܢ ܚܒܪܬܗ̣̇. ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܕܣܐܡܐ ܘܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ. | 2 Now instruct the people that every man is to ask his neighbour, and every woman hers, for silver andgolden jewel ery.' |
| 3 ܘܝܗ̣ܒ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܥܡܐ ܠܪ̈ܚ̣ܡܐ ܒܥܝܢ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܕܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ. ܘܐܦ ܓܒܪܐ ܡܘܫܐ ܝܩܝܪ ܗܘܐ ܛܒ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ. ܒܥܝܢ̈ܝ ܥܒ̣̈ܕܘܗܝ ܕܦܪܥܘܢ ܘܒܥܝܢ̈ܝ ܥܡܐ. | 3 And Yahweh made the Egyptians impressed with the people, while Moses himself was a man of greatimportance in Egypt in the opinion of Pharaoh's officials and the people. |
| 4 ܘܐܡܪ ܡܘܫܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܝܐ. ܒܦܠܓܗ ܕܠܠܝܐ ܢ̇ܦܩ ܐܢܐ ܒܓܘ ܡܨܪܝ̣ܢ. | 4 Moses then said, 'Yahweh says this, "At midnight I shal pass through Egypt, |
| 5 ܘܢܡ̣ܘܬܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܘܟܪ̈ܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ. ܡܢ ܒܘܟܪܗ ܕܦܪܥܘܢ ܕܝܬ̇ܒ ܥܠ ܟܘܪܣܝܗ̣. ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܒܘܟܪܐ ܕܐܡܬܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܝܬ ܪܚܝܐ. ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܘܟܪ̈ܐ ܕܒܥܝܪܐ. | 5 and all the first-born in Egypt wil die, from the first-born of Pharaoh, heir to his throne, to the first-bornof the slave-girl at the mill, and all the first-born of the livestock. |
| 6 ܘܬܗܘܐ ܝܠܠܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝ̣ܢ. ܕܐܟܘܬܗ̣̇ ܠܐ ܗ̣ܘܬ̇ ܘܐܟܘܬܗ̣̇ ܠܐ ܬܗ̣ܘܐ. | 6 And throughout Egypt there wil be great wailing, such as never was before, nor will be again. |
| 7 ܘܡܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܐ ܢ̇ܗ̣ܪ. ܐܦ ܠܐ ܟܠܒܐ ܒܠܫܢܗ. ܐܦ ܠܐ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܢܫܐ̇. ܐܦ ܠܐ ܒܥܝܪܐ. ܡܛܠ ܕܬܕܥܘܢ ܕܦܪܫ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܬ ܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ. | 7 But against the Israelites, whether man or beast, never a dog shal bark, so that you may know thatYahweh discriminates between Egypt and Israel. |
| 8 ܘܢܚ̣ܬܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܒ̣̈ܕܝܟ ܗܠܝܢ ܠܘܬܝ. ܘܢܣܓܕܘܢ ܠܝ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܝ. ܦܘܩ ܐܢܬ ܘܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܟܠܗ ܕܥܡܟ̣. ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܦܘܩ. ܘܢܦ̣ܩ ܡܘܫܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܦܪܥܘܢ ܒܚܡܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ. | 8 Then all these officials of yours wil come down to me and, bowing low before me, say: Go away, youand all the people who fol ow you! After which, I shal go." ' And, hot with anger, he left Pharaoh's presence. |
| 9 ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܘܫܐ. ܠܐ̇ ܢܫܡ̣ܥܟܘܢ ܦܪܥܘܢ. ܡܛܠ ܕܐܣܓܐ ܦܪ̈ܝܫܬܝ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ. | 9 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Pharaoh wil not listen to you, so that more of my wonders may bedisplayed in Egypt.' |
| 10 ܘܡܘܫܐ ܘܐܗܪܘܢ ܥܒܕܘ ܦܪ̈ܝܫܬܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܩܕܡ ܦܪܥܘܢ. ܘܩܫ̇ܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܒܗ ܕܦܪܥܘܢ. ܘܠܐ ܫܕܪ ܠܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܗ. | 10 Moses and Aaron worked al these wonders in Pharaoh's presence, but Yahweh made Pharaohstubborn, and he did not let the Israelites leave his country. |
