1 Al maestro di coro. Canto. Salmo. Acclamate a Dio da tutta la terra,	1 [For the choirmaster Song Psalm] Acclaim God, al the earth,
2 inneggiate alla gloria del suo nome; rendete splendida la sua lode.	2 sing psalms to the glory of his name, glorify him with your praises,
3 Dite a Dio: "Sono stupende le tue opere, per la grandezza della tua forza davanti a te si piegano i tuoi avversari.	3 say to God, 'How awesome you are! 'Your achievements are the measure of your power, yourenemies woo your favour,
4 Davanti a te si prostra tutta la terra e inneggia a te, inneggia al tuo nome".	4 al the earth bows down before you, sings psalms to you, sings psalms to your name.'Pause
5 Orsù, contemplate le meraviglie di Dio: mirabile è il suo agire verso i figli dell'uomo.	5 Come and see the marvels of God, his awesome deeds for the children of Adam:
6 Mutò il mare in terra ferma, a piedi passarono il corso d'acqua. Orsù, rallegriamoci in lui!	6 he changed the sea into dry land, they crossed the river on foot. So let us rejoice in him,

8 Benedite, o popoli, il nostro Dio e proclamate a piena voce la sua lode.	8 Nations, bless our God, let the sound of his praise be heard;
9 Egli ha posto fra i vivi la nostra anima, e non ha permesso che vacillassero i nostri passi.	9 he brings us to life and keeps our feet from stumbling.
10 Sì, o Dio, tu ci hai messi alla prova, ci hai fatti passare al crogiuolo, come si passa l'argento.	10 God, you have put us to the test, refined us like silver,
11 Ci hai fatti cadere in agguato, hai posto un peso ai nostri fianchi.	11 let us fal into the net; you have put a heavy strain on our backs,
12 Hai fatto sì che cavalcassero gli uomini sulle nostre teste. Abbiamo camminato in mezzo al fuoco e in mezzo all'acqua. Ma ci hai tratti, alla fine, in un luogo di ristoro.	12 let men ride over our heads; but now the ordeal by fire and water is over, you have led us out tobreathe again.

16 Orsù, ascoltate, quanti temete Dio, perché voglio narrarvi ciò che egli ha fatto all'anima mia.	16 Come and listen, all who fear God, while I tel what he has done for me.
17 A lui gridai con la mia bocca e già la lode era nella mia lingua.	17 To him I cried aloud, high praise was on my tongue.
18 Se avessi riscontrato una colpa nel mio cuore, non mi avrebbe esaudito il Signore.	18 Had I been aware of guilt in my heart, the Lord would not have listened,
19 Ma Dio mi ha ascoltato; ha prestato attenzione alla voce della mia preghiera.	19 but in fact God did listen, attentive to the sound of my prayer.
20 Sia benedetto Dio, che non ha respinto la mia preghiera e non mi ha rifiutato la sua misericordia.	20 Blessed be God who has not turned away my prayer, nor his own faithful love from me.
