Osea 2

BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Il numero degli Israeliti sarà come la sabbia del mare, che non si può misurare né contare. Invece di sentirsi dire: "Non siete mio popolo", saranno chiamati figli del Dio vivente.	1 But the Israelites wil become as numerous as the sands of the sea, which cannot be measured orcounted. In the very place where they were told, 'You are not my people,' they wil be told they are 'Children ofthe living God'.
2 I figli di Giuda e i figli d'Israele si riuniranno insieme, si daranno un unico capo e saliranno dal proprio territorio, perché grande sarà il giorno di Izreèl!	2 The Judaeans and Israelites will be reunited and wil choose themselves a single head, and will spreadfar beyond their country, for great will be the Day of Jezreel!
3 Dite ai vostri fratelli: "Popolo mio" e alle vostre sorelle: "Amata".	3 Then call your brothers, 'My people', and your sisters, 'You have been pitied'.
4 Accusate vostra madre, accusatela, perché essa non è più mia moglie e io non sono più suo marito! Si tolga dalla faccia i segni delle sue prostituzioni e i segni del suo adulterio dal suo petto;	4 To court, take your mother to court! For she is no longer my wife nor am I her husband. She must eitherremove her whoring ways from her face and her adulteries from between her breasts,
5 altrimenti la spoglierò tutta nuda e la renderò come quando nacque e la ridurrò a un deserto, come una terra arida, e la farò morire di sete.	5 or I shal strip her and expose her naked as the day she was born; I shall make her as bare as thedesert, I shall make her as dry as arid country, and let her die of thirst.
6 I suoi figli non li amerò, perché sono figli di prostituzione.	6 And I shal feel no pity for her children since they are the children of her whorings.
7 La loro madre si è prostituita, la loro genitrice si è coperta di vergogna. Essa ha detto: "Seguirò i miei amanti, che mi danno il mio pane e la mia acqua, la mia lana, il mio lino, il mio olio e le mie bevande".	7 Yes, their mother has played the whore, she who conceived them has disgraced herself by saying, 'Ishall chase after my lovers; they will assure me my keep, my wool, my flax, my oil and my drinks.'
8 Perciò ecco, ti sbarrerò la strada di spine e ne cingerò il recinto di barriere e non ritroverà i suoi sentieri.	8 This is why I shal block her way with thorns, and wal her in to stop her in her tracks;
9 Inseguirà i suoi amanti, ma non li raggiungerà, li cercherà senza trovarli. Allora dirà: "Ritornerò al mio marito di prima perché ero più felice di ora".	9 then if she chases her lovers she wil not catch them, if she looks for them she wil not find them, andthen she wil say, 'I shal go back to my first husband, I was better off then than I am now;'
10 Non capì che io le davo grano, vino nuovo e olio e le prodigavo l'argento e l'oro che hanno usato per Baal.	10 she had never realised before that I was the one who was giving her the grain, new wine and oil,giving her more and more silver and gold which they have spent on Baal!
11 Perciò anch'io tornerò a riprendere il mio grano, a suo tempo, il mio vino nuovo nella sua stagione; ritirerò la lana e il lino che dovevan coprire le sue nudità.	11 This is why I shal take back my grain when it is due and my new wine, when the season for it comes. Ishall withdraw my wool and my flax which were to cover her naked body,
12 Scoprirò allora le sue vergogne agli occhi dei suoi amanti e nessuno la toglierà dalle mie mani.	12 and then display her infamy before her lovers' eyes- no one will take her from me then!
13 Farò cessare tutte le sue gioie, le feste, i noviluni, i sabati, tutte le sue solennità.	13 I shal put an end to al her merrymaking, her festivals, her New Moons and her Sabbaths and al hersolemn feasts.
14 Devasterò le sue viti e i suoi fichi, di cui essa diceva: "Ecco il dono che mi han dato i miei amanti". La ridurrò a una sterpaglia e a un pascolo di animali selvatici.	14 I shal make her vines and fig trees derelict of which she used to say, 'These are the pay my loversgave me.' I shal turn them into a jungle: wild animals wil feed on them.
15 Le farò scontare i giorni dei Baal, quando bruciava loro i profumi, si adornava di anelli e di collane e seguiva i suoi amanti mentre dimenticava me! - Oracolo del Signore.	15 I mean to make her pay for the feast-days on which she burnt incense to the Baals, when she trickedherself out in her earrings and necklaces to chase after her lovers, and forget me! -declares Yahweh.
16 Perciò, ecco, la attirerò a me, la condurrò nel deserto e parlerò al suo cuore.	16 But look, I am going to seduce her and lead her into the desert and speak to her heart.
17 Le renderò le sue vigne e trasformerò la valle di Acòr in porta di speranza. Là canterà come nei giorni della sua giovinezza, come quando uscì dal paese d'Egitto.	17 There I shall give her back her vineyards, and make the Vale of Achor a gateway of hope. There shewil respond as when she was young, as on the day when she came up from Egypt.
18 E avverrà in quel giorno - oracolo del Signore - mi chiamerai: Marito mio, e non mi chiamerai più: Mio padrone.	18 When that day comes- declares Yahweh- you wil cal me, 'My husband', no more wil you cal me, 'MyBaal'.
19 Le toglierò dalla bocca i nomi dei Baal, che non saranno più ricordati.	19 I shal banish the names of the Baals from her lips and their name wil be mentioned no more.
20 In quel tempo farò per loro un'alleanza con le bestie della terra e gli uccelli del cielo e con i rettili del suolo; arco e spada e guerra eliminerò dal paese; e li farò riposare tranquilli.	20 When that day comes I shal make a treaty for them with the wild animals, with the birds of heavenand the creeping things of the earth; I shal break the bow and the sword and warfare, and banish them from thecountry, and I wil let them sleep secure.
21 Ti farò mia sposa per sempre, ti farò mia sposa nella giustizia e nel diritto, nella benevolenza e nell'amore,	21 I shal betroth you to myself for ever, I shall betroth you in uprightness and justice, and faithful loveand tenderness.
22 ti fidanzerò con me nella fedeltà e tu conoscerai il Signore.	22 Yes, I shall betroth you to myself in loyalty and in the knowledge of Yahweh.
23 E avverrà in quel giorno - oracolo del Signore - io risponderò al cielo ed esso risponderà alla terra;	23 When that day comes, I shal respond -declares Yahweh- I shal respond to the heavens and they willrespond to the earth
24 la terra risponderà con il grano, il vino nuovo e l'olio e questi risponderanno a Izreèl.	24 and the earth wil respond to the grain, the new wine and oil, and they wil respond to Jezreel.
25 Io li seminerò di nuovo per me nel paese e amerò Non-amata; e a Non-mio-popolo dirò: Popolo mio, ed egli mi dirà: Mio Dio.	25 I shal sow her in the country to be mine, I shall take pity on Lo-Ruhamah, I shal tell Lo-Ammi, 'Youare my people,' and he will say, 'You are my God.'
