Hebrews 5

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Every high priest is taken from among human beings and is appointed to act on their behalf inrelationships with God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins;	1 Infatti ogni pontefice, preso di fra gli uomini, è costituito a prò degli uomini in tutto ciò che riguarda Dio, perchè offra doni e sacrifizi per i peccati,
2 he can sympathise with those who are ignorant or who have gone astray, because he too is subject tothe limitations of weakness.	2 e possa avere compassione degli ignoranti e dei traviati, essendo egli stesso circondato d'infermità:
3 That is why he has to make sin offerings for himself as wel as for the people.	3 e quindi deve, come per il popolo, anche per se stesso fare il sacrifizio per i peccati.
4 No one takes this honour on himself; it needs a cal from God, as in Aaron's case.	4 E nessuno può arrogarsi tal dignità; ma soltanto chi è chiamato da Dio come Aronne.
5 And so it was not Christ who gave himself the glory of becoming high priest, but the one who said tohim: You are my Son, today I have fathered you,	5 Così pure Cristo non s'arrogò da se stesso la gloria di essere sommo sacerdote, ma gliela diede Colui che gli disse: Tu sei il mio Figliolo, oggi ti ho generato.
6 and in another text: You are a priest for ever, of the order of Melchizedek.	6 Ed anche in altro luogo gli dicci: Tu sei sacerdote in eterno, secondo l'ordine di Melchisedech.
7 During his life on earth, he offered up prayer and entreaty, with loud cries and with tears, to the onewho had the power to save him from death, and, winning a hearing by his reverence,	7 Egli nei giorni della sua vita terrena, avendo con forti grida e lacrime offerto preghiere e suppliche a Colui che poteva salvarlo dalla morte, fu esaudito per la sua riverenza.
8 he learnt obedience, Son though he was, through his sufferings;	8 E benché fosse Figliolo, imparò da quello che patì l'obbedienza,
9 when he had been perfected, he became for al who obey him the source of eternal salvation	9 e, giunto alla perfezione, divenne causa di eterna salute per tutti quelli che gli sono obbedienti,
10 and was acclaimed by God with the title of high priest of the order of Melchizedek.	10 essendo stato proclamato da Dio sommo sacerdote secondo l'ordine di Melchisedech.
11 On this subject we have many things to say, and they are difficult to explain because you have grownso slow at understanding.	11 A proposito di questo soggetto abbiamo da dire molte cose difficili a spiegare, perchè voi siete diventati un po' deboli nell'intendere,
12 Indeed, when you should by this time have become masters, you need someone to teach you al overagain the elements of the principles of God's sayings; you have gone back to needing milk, and not solid food.	12 e, mentre per il tempo dovreste esser maestri, avete ancora bisogno che vi s'insegnino i primi rudimenti della parola di Dio e siete ridotti ad aver bisogno di latte e non di solido cibo.
13 Truly, no one who is stil living on milk can digest the doctrine of saving justice, being stil a baby.	13 Or chi è al latte non può aver esperienza della parola della giustizia, perchè appunto è bambino;
14 Solid food is for adults with minds trained by practice to distinguish between good and bad.	14 mentre il cibo solido è per gli uomini fatti, per quelli che hanno dalla pratica addestrate le facoltà al discernimento del bene e del male.
