Hebrews 5

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Every high priest is taken from among human beings and is appointed to act on their behalf inrelationships with God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins;	1 Perciocchè ogni sommo sacerdote, assunto d’infra gli uomini, è costituito per gli uomini, nelle cose appartenenti a Dio, acciocchè offerisca offerte e sacrificii per li peccati;
2 he can sympathise with those who are ignorant or who have gone astray, because he too is subject tothe limitations of weakness.	2 potendo aver convenevol compassione degli ignoranti, ed erranti; poichè egli stesso ancora è circondato d’infermità.
3 That is why he has to make sin offerings for himself as wel as for the people.	3 E per esse infermità è obbligato d’offerir sacrificii per li peccati, così per sè stesso, come per lo popolo.
4 No one takes this honour on himself; it needs a cal from God, as in Aaron's case.	4 E niuno si prende da sè stesso quell’onore; ma colui l’ha, ch’è chiamato da Dio, come Aaronne.
5 And so it was not Christ who gave himself the glory of becoming high priest, but the one who said tohim: You are my Son, today I have fathered you,	5 Così ancora Cristo non si è glorificato sè stesso, per esser fatto sommo sacerdote; ma colui l’ha glorificato, che gli ha detto: Tu sei il mio Figliuolo, oggi io ti ho generato.
6 and in another text: You are a priest for ever, of the order of Melchizedek.	6 Siccome ancora altrove dice: Tu sei sacerdote in eterno, secondo l’ordine di Melchisedec.
7 During his life on earth, he offered up prayer and entreaty, with loud cries and with tears, to the onewho had the power to save him from death, and, winning a hearing by his reverence,	7 Il quale a’ giorni della sua carne, avendo, con gran grido, e lagrime, offerte orazioni e supplicazioni, a colui che lo poteva salvar da morte; ed essendo stato esaudito per la sua pietà;
8 he learnt obedience, Son though he was, through his sufferings;	8 benchè fosse Figliuolo, pur dalle cose che sofferse imparò l’ubbidienza.
9 when he had been perfected, he became for al who obey him the source of eternal salvation	9 Ed essendo stato appieno consacrato, è stato fatto cagione di salute eterna a tutti coloro che gli ubbidiscono;
10 and was acclaimed by God with the title of high priest of the order of Melchizedek.	10 essendo nominato da Dio sommo sacerdote, secondo l’ordine di Melchisedec.
11 On this subject we have many things to say, and they are difficult to explain because you have grownso slow at understanding.	11 Del quale abbiamo a dir cose assai, e malagevoli a dichiarar con parole; perciocchè voi siete divenuti tardi d’orecchi.
12 Indeed, when you should by this time have become masters, you need someone to teach you al overagain the elements of the principles of God's sayings; you have gone back to needing milk, and not solid food.	12 Poichè, là dove voi dovreste esser maestri, rispetto al tempo, avete di nuovo bisogno che vi s’insegnino quali sieno gli elementi del principio degli oracoli di Dio; e siete venuti a tale, che avete bisogno di latte, e non di cibo sodo.
13 Truly, no one who is stil living on milk can digest the doctrine of saving justice, being stil a baby.	13 Perciocchè, chiunque usa il latte non ha ancora l’uso della parola della giustizia; poichè egli è un piccolo fanciullo.
14 Solid food is for adults with minds trained by practice to distinguish between good and bad.	14 Ma il cibo sodo è per i compiuti, i quali, per l’abitudine, hanno i sensi esercitati a discernere il bene ed il male
