1 Remind them to be obedient to the officials in authority; to be ready to do good at every opportunity;	1 הזכר אתם להכנע ולשמע לשרים ולשלטונים ולהיות נכונים לכל מעשה טוב
2 not to go slandering other people but to be peaceable and gentle, and always polite to people of al kinds.	2 ולבלתי גדף אדם ולחדל מריב ולהכריע לכף זכות ולהתנהג בכל ענוה לפני כל אדם
3 There was a time when we too were ignorant, disobedient and misled and enslaved by different passionsand dissipations; we lived then in wickedness and malice, hating each other and hateful ourselves.	3 כי גם אנחנו היינו מלפנים חסרי דעת וסוררים ותועים ועבדים לתאות ולתשוקות שנות ומתהלכים ברשעה וקנאה ושנואים ושנאים איש את אחיו
4 But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour for humanity were revealed,	4 אמנם כאשר נגלה נעם אלהים מושיענו ורחמנותו אל האדם
5 it was not because of any upright actions we had done ourselves; it was for no reason except his ownfaithful love that he saved us, by means of the cleansing water of rebirth and renewal in the Holy Spirit	5 אז לא בגלל מעשי הצדקה אשר עשינו הושיע אתנו כי אם מתוך חסדו על ידי טבילת התולדה השניה וחדוש רוח הקדש
6 which he has so generously poured over us through Jesus Christ our Saviour;	6 אשר שפך עלינו למכביר על ידי ישוע המשיח מושיענו
7 so that, justified by his grace, we should become heirs in hope of eternal life.	7 למען נצדק בחסדו ונירש לפי התקוה את חיי העולמים
8 This is doctrine that you can rely on. I want you to be quite uncompromising in teaching all this, so thatthose who now believe in God may keep their minds constantly occupied in doing good works. Al this is good,and useful for everybody.	8 נאמן הוא הדבר ורצה אני כי תקים את אלה למען אשר ישתדלו המאמינים לאלהים לעשק במעשים טובים עשות כאלה טוב הוא ומועיל לאדם
9 But avoid foolish speculations, and those genealogies, and the quibbles and disputes about the Law --they are useless and futile.	9 אבל תרחק מן השאלות התפלות ומלמודי תולדות ומן הקטטות ומחלקות בעניני החקים כי אין בהן מועיל והבל הנה
10 If someone disputes what you teach, then after a first and a second warning, have no more to do withhim:	10 ואיש החולק על האמונה אם הוכח פעם ושתים שטה מעליו
11 you wil know that anyone of that sort is warped and is self-condemned as a sinner.	11 ודע כי איש כזה איש תהפכות הוא וחוטא בהרשיע את נפשו
12 As soon as I have sent Artemas or Tychicus to you, do your best to join me at Nicopolis, where I havedecided to spend the winter.	12 כאשר אשלח אליך את ארטמס או את טוכיקוס תמהר לבוא אלי לניקפליס כי גמרתי בלבי לשבת שם בימי הסתיו
13 Help eagerly on their way Zenas the lawyer and Apollos, and make sure they have everything theyneed.	13 השתדל ללות על דרכם את זינס המלמד בתורה ואת אפולוס למען לא יחסרו דבר
14 Al our people must also learn to occupy themselves in doing good works for their practical needs, andnot to be unproductive.	14 וילמדו גם אנשי עדתנו לעשק במעשים טובים לעזר בכל מחסור פן יהיו בלי פרי
15 Al those who are with me send their greetings. Greetings to those who love us in the faith. Grace bewith you all.	15 כל אשר עמדי שאלים לשלומך שאל לשלום האהבים אתנו באמונה החסד עם כלכם אמן
