2 Timothy 2

1 As for you, my dear son, take strength from the grace which is in Christ Jesus.	1 לכן בני התחזק בחסד אשר במשיח ישוע
2 Pass on to reliable people what you have heard from me through many witnesses so that they in turn wilbe able to teach others.	2 ואת אשר שמעת ממני בפני עדים רבים תפקידנו בידי אנשים נאמנים אשר הם כשרים ללמד גם את האחרים
3 Bear with your share of difficulties, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.	3 וסבל הרעות כאיש חיל בצבא מלחמת ישוע המשיח
4 No one on active service involves himself in the affairs of civilian life, because he must win the approvalof the man who enlisted him;	4 איש יצא לצבא לא יתערב בעשקי החיים למען יהיה רצוי לשר הצבא
5 or again someone who enters an athletic contest wins only by competing in the sports -- a prize can bewon only by competing according to the rules;	5 וגם אם נאבק איש לא יכתר אם לא יאבק כמשפט
6 and again, it is the farmer who works hard that has the first claim on any crop that is harvested.	6 האכר העבד הוא יאכל ראשונה מפרי האדמה
7 Think over what I have said, and the Lord wil give you ful understanding.	7 בין באשר אני אמר כי האדון יתן לך חכמה בכל דבר
8 Remember the gospel that I carry, 'Jesus Christ risen from the dead, sprung from the race of David';	8 זכור תזכר את ישוע המשיח הנעור מן המתים אשר הוא מזרע דוד כפי בשורתי
9 it is on account of this that I have to put up with suffering, even to being chained like a criminal. ButGod's message cannot be chained up.	9 אשר בעבורה אני נשא רעות עד למוסרות כעשה עול אבל דבר האלהים איננו נאסר
10 So I persevere for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they, too, may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.	10 ועל כן אסבל את כל למען הבחירים למען ישיגו גם המה את התשועה במשיח ישוע עם כבוד עולמים
11 Here is a saying that you can rely on: If we have died with him, then we shal live with him.	11 נאמן הדבר הזה כי אם מתנו אתו גם אתו נחיה
12 If we persevere, then we shal reign with him. If we disown him, then he wil disown us.	12 אם נסבל גם נמלך אתו ואם ננכר גם הוא ינכר אתנו
13 If we are faithless, he is faithful still, for he cannot disown his own self.	13 אם לא נאמין הנה הוא קים באמונתו כי לכחש בעצמו לא יוכל
14 Remind them of this; and tell them in the name of God that there must be no wrangling about words: althat this ever achieves is the destruction of those who are listening.	14 זאת הזכר להם והעד לפני האדון שלא לעשק במחלקת מלים אשר לא להועיל רק לעות דעת השמעים
15 Make every effort to present yourself before God as a proven worker who has no need to be ashamed,but who keeps the message of truth on a straight path.	15 היה שקוד להתיצב נאמן לפני אלהים וכפעל אשר לא יבוש המחלק על נכון דבר האמת
16 Have nothing to do with godless philosophical discussions -- they only lead further and further awayfrom true religion.	16 אבל תרחק מדברי הבל הפסולים כי יוסיפו הרבות רשע
17 Talk of this kind spreads corruption like gangrene, as in the case of Hymenaeus and Philetus,	17 ושיחתם כרקב תאכל סביב אשר מהם הומניוס ופיליטוס
18 the men who have gone astray from the truth, claiming that the resurrection has already taken place.They are upsetting some people's faith.	18 אשר תעו מן האמת באמרם כי תחית המתים כבר היתה ויבלבלו אמונת קצת אנשים
19 However, God's solid foundation-stone stands firm, and this is the seal on it: 'The Lord knows thosewho are his own' and 'Al who cal on the name of the Lord must avoid evil.'	19 אך איתן הוא יסוד האלהים וזה חותמו ידע יהוה את אשר לו ועוד יסור מעול כל הקורא את שם המשיח
20 Not al the dishes in a large house are made of gold and silver; some are made of wood orearthenware: the former are held in honour, the latter held cheap.	20 כי בבית גדול לא כלי זהב וכסף בלבד אלא גם של עץ ושל חרש ומהם לכבוד ומהם לבזיון
21 If someone holds himself aloof from these faults I speak of, he wil be a vessel held in honour,dedicated and fit for the Master, ready for any good work.	21 והנה אם טהר איש את נפשו מאלה יהיה כלי לכבוד מקדש ומועיל לבעל הבית מוכן לכל מעשה טוב
22 Turn away from the passions of youth, concentrate on uprightness, faith, love and peace, in union withal those who cal on the Lord with a pure heart.	22 ברח לך מתאות הנעורים ורדף צדק ואמונה ואהבה ושלום עם כל הקראים אל יהוה בלב טהור
23 Avoid these foolish and undisciplined speculations, understanding that they only give rise to quarrels;	23 ותרחק מן השאלות התפלות באין מוסר באשר תדע כי אך קטטה מולידות הנה
24 and a servant of the Lord must not engage in quarrels, but must be kind to everyone, a good teacher,and patient.	24 ועבד האדון לא יתקוטט אלא יהי נוח לכל ומבין ללמד וסבלן
25 He must be gentle when he corrects people who oppose him, in the hope that God may give them achange of mind so that they recognise the truth	25 ומיסר בנמיכות רוח את המתנגדים אולי יתן האלהים בלבבם לשוב להכרת האמת
26 and come to their senses, escaping the trap of the devil who made them his captives and subjectedthem to his will.	26 ויעירו ממוקשי השטן אשר צדם בהם לרצונו
