Joshua 13

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Now Joshua had grown old and advanced in years. Yahweh said to him, 'You are now old andadvanced in years, yet there is stil a great deal of territory left to be taken possession of.	1 وشاخ يشوع. تقدم في الايام. فقال له الرب انت قد شخت. تقدمت في الايام. وقد بقيت ارض كثيرة جدا للامتلاك.
2 This is al the territory left: 'Al the districts of the Philistines and the whole country of the Geshurites;	2 هذه هي الارض الباقية. كل دائرة الفلسطنيين وكل الجشوريين
3 from the Shihor, facing Egypt, to the frontier of Ekron in the north, is reckoned as Canaanite territory.The five rulers of the Philistines have their seats at Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath and Ekron, respectively; theAvvites are in	3 من الشيحور الذي هو امام مصر الى تخم عقرون شمالا تحسب للكنعانيين اقطاب الفلسطينيين الخمسة الغزي والاشدودي والاشقلوني والجتّي والعقروني والعويين.
4 the south. The entire territory of the Canaanites, and Mearah which belongs to the Sidonians, as far asAphekah and as far as the frontier of the Amorites;	4 من التيمن كل ارض الكنعانيين ومغارة التي للصيدونيين الى افيق الى تخم الاموريين.
5 and then the country of the Gebalites with the entire Lebanon eastwards from Baal-Gad at the foot ofMount Hermon to the Pass of Hamath.	5 وارض الجبليين وكل لبنان نحو شروق الشمس من بعل جاد تحت جبل حرمون الى مدخل حماة.
6 'All who live in the highlands from the Lebanon to Misrephoth in the west -- al the Sidonians -- I myselfshall dispossess before the Israelites. Al you have to do is to distribute the territory as a heritage for theIsraelites as I have ordered you.	6 جميع سكان الجبل من لبنان الى مسرفوت مايم جميع الصيدونيين. انا اطردهم من امام بني اسرائيل. انما اقسمها بالقرعة لاسرائيل ملكا كما أمرتك.
7 The time has come to divide this territory as a heritage between the nine tribes and the half-tribe ofManasseh: from the Jordan as far as the Great Sea in the west, you must give it them; the Great Sea wil betheir limit.'	7 والآن اقسم هذه الارض ملكا للتسعة الاسباط ونصف سبط منسّى.
8 As regards the other half-tribe of Manasseh, this and the Reubenites and Gadites had already receivedtheir heritage, given them by Moses on the further, eastern side of the Jordan, the one which Moses, servant ofYahweh, had already given them:	8 معهم اخذ الرأوبينيون والجاديون ملكهم الذي اعطاهم موسى في عبر الاردن نحو الشروق كما اعطاهم موسى عبد الرب
9 The country onwards from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Val ey, with the town in the bottom of theval ey and the entire tableland from Medeba to Dibon;	9 من عروعير التي على حافة وادي ارنون والمدينة التي في وسط الوادي وكل سهل ميدبا الى ديبون
10 al the towns of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reigned in Heshbon, to the frontier of theAmmonites;	10 وجميع مدن سيحون ملك الاموريين الذي ملك في حشبون الى تخم بني عمون
11 then Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites with the whole Hermon range and thewhole of Bashan as far as Salecah;	11 وجلعاد وتخوم الجشوريين والمعكيين وكل جبل حرمون وكل باشان الى سلخة
12 and in Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei, and was the lastof the survivors of the Rephaim. Moses had conquered and dispossessed these two kings.	12 كل مملكة عوج في باشان الذي ملك في عشتاروث وفي اذرعي. هو بقي من بقية الرفائيين وضربهم موسى وطردهم.
13 The Israelites did not, however, dispossess either the Geshurites or the Maacathites, hence Geshurand Maacah survive inside Israel even today.	13 ولم يطرد بنو اسرائيل الجشوريين والمعكيين فسكن الجشوري والمعكي في وسط اسرائيل الى هذا اليوم.
14 To the tribe of Levi alone no heritage was given; Yahweh, God of Israel, was his heritage, as he hadtold him.	14 لكن لسبط لاوي لم يعط نصيبا. وقائد الرب اله اسرائيل هي نصيبه كما كلمه
15 Moses had given the tribe of the sons of Reuben a share by clans.	15 واعطى موسى سبط بني رأوبين حسب عشائرهم.
16 Thus, their territory was the entire tableland from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Val ey, with the townin the bottom of the val ey, as far as Medeba,	16 فكان تخمهم من عروعير التي على حافة وادي ارنون والمدينة التي في وسط الوادي وكل السهل عند ميدبا
17 Heshbon with all the towns on the tableland: Dibon, Bamoth-Baal, Beth-Baal-Meon,	17 حشبون وجميع مدنها التي في السهل وديبون وباموت بعل وبيت بعل معون
18 Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,	18 ويهصة وقديموت وميفعة
19 Kiriathaim, Sibmah and, in the highlands of the Arabah, Zereth-Shahar;	19 وقريتايم وسبمة وصارث الشحر في جبل الوادي
20 Beth-Peor, the watered foothills of Mount Pisgah, Beth-ha-Jeshimoth,	20 وبيت فغور وسفوح الفسجة وبيت يشيموت
21 al the towns on the tableland and the entire kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reignedin Heshbon; he had been defeated by Moses, and with him the princes of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur andReba, vassals of Sihon, formerly living in the country.	21 وكل مدن السهل وكل مملكة سيحون ملك الاموريين الذي ملك في حشبون الذي ضربه موسى مع رؤساء مديان أوي وراقم وصور وحور ورابع أمراء سيحون ساكني الارض.
22 As regards Balaam son of Beor, the soothsayer, the Israelites had put him to the sword with thosewhom they had kil ed.	22 وبلعام بن بعور العراف قتله بنو اسرائيل. بالسيف مع قتلاهم.
23 The boundary of the Reubenites was the Jordan and its territory. Such was the heritage of the sons ofReuben, by clans, with the towns and vil ages belonging to them.	23 وكان تخم بني رأوبين الاردن وتخومه. هذا نصيب بني رأوبين حسب عشائرهم المدن وضياعها
24 Moses had given the tribe of Gad, the sons of Gad, a share by clans.	24 واعطى موسى لسبط جاد بني جاد حسب عشائرهم.
25 Their territory was Jazer, al the towns of Gilead, half the country of the Ammonites as far as Aroerfacing Rabbah,	25 فكان تخمهم يعزير وكل مدن جلعاد ونصف ارض بني عمون الى عروعير التي هي امام ربّة
26 and from Heshbon to Ramath-Mizpeh and Betonim; from Mahanaim as far as the territory of Lo-Debar,	26 ومن حشبون الى رامة المصفاة وبطونيم ومن محنايم الى تخم دبير.
27 and in the val ey: Beth-Haram, Beth-Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon -- the rest of the kingdom of Sihonking of Heshbon -- the Jordan and the territory running to the tip of the Sea of Chinneroth, on the further, easternside of the Jordan.	27 وفي الوادي بيت هارام وبيت نمرة وسكوت وصافون بقية مملكة سيحون ملك حشبون الاردن وتخومه الى طرف بحر كنّروت في عبر الاردن نحو الشروق.
28 Such was the heritage of the sons of Gad, by clans, with their towns and vil ages belonging to them.	28 هذا نصيب بني جاد حسب عشائرهم المدن وضياعها
29 Moses had given the half-tribe of Manasseh a share by clans.	29 واعطى موسى لنصف سبط منسّى وكان لنصف سبط بني منسّى حسب عشائرهم.
30 Their territory, starting from Mahanaim, was the whole of Bashan, the entire kingdom of Og king ofBashan, all the Encampments of Jair in Bashan: sixty towns.	30 وكان تخمهم من محنايم كل باشان كل مملكة عوج ملك باشان وكل حوّوث يائير التي في باشان ستين مدينة.
31 Half of Gilead, with Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the royal cities of Og in Bashan, were al otted to the sons ofMachir son of Manasseh, to half of the sons of Machir, by clans.	31 ونصف جلعاد وعشتاروث واذرعي مدن مملكة عوج في باشان لبني ماكير بن منسّى لنصف بني ماكير حسب عشائرهم.
32 This was what Moses had conferred in heritage on the Plains of Moab on the further, eastern side ofthe Jordan opposite Jericho.	32 فهذه هي التي قسمها موسى في عربات موآب في عبر اردن اريحا نحو الشروق.
33 To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses gave no heritage; Yahweh, God of Israel, was his heritage, ashe had told him.	33 واما سبط لاوي فلم يعطه موسى نصيبا. الرب اله اسرائيل هو نصيبهم كما كلمهم
