NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Now Joshua had grown old and advanced in years. Yahweh said to him, 'You are now old andadvanced in years, yet there is stil a great deal of territory left to be taken possession of.	1 Josué estava velho, avançado em anos, e o Senhor disse-lhe: Tu estás velho, de muita idade, e resta ainda um grandíssimo espaço de terra a conquistar.
2 This is al the territory left: 'Al the districts of the Philistines and the whole country of the Geshurites;	2 Eis o que resta: todas as províncias dos filisteus, toda a terra dos jessureus,
3 from the Shihor, facing Egypt, to the frontier of Ekron in the north, is reckoned as Canaanite territory.The five rulers of the Philistines have their seats at Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath and Ekron, respectively; theAvvites are in	3 desde o Chihor que corre defronte do Egito, até os limites de Acaron para o norte, região considerada como cananéia; os cinco príncipes dos filisteus: o de Gaza, o de Azot, o de Ascalon, o de Get e o de Acaron;
4 the south. The entire territory of the Canaanites, and Mearah which belongs to the Sidonians, as far asAphekah and as far as the frontier of the Amorites;	4 os heveus, ao meio-dia; toda a terra dos cananeus, e Maara dos sidônios, até Afec e a fronteira dos amorreus;
5 and then the country of the Gebalites with the entire Lebanon eastwards from Baal-Gad at the foot ofMount Hermon to the Pass of Hamath.	5 a terra dos gebalitas, e todo o Líbano, para o oriente, desde Baal-Gad ao pé do monte Hermon até a entrada de Hamat;
6 'All who live in the highlands from the Lebanon to Misrephoth in the west -- al the Sidonians -- I myselfshall dispossess before the Israelites. Al you have to do is to distribute the territory as a heritage for theIsraelites as I have ordered you.	6 todos os habitantes da montanha, desde o Líbano até as águas de Maserefot, todos os sidônios. Eu os expulsarei diante dos israelitas. Reparte, pois, essa terra por sorte em herança a Israel, como prescrevi.
7 The time has come to divide this territory as a heritage between the nine tribes and the half-tribe ofManasseh: from the Jordan as far as the Great Sea in the west, you must give it them; the Great Sea wil betheir limit.'	7 E agora divide essa terra entre as nove tribos e a meia tribo de Manassés.
8 As regards the other half-tribe of Manasseh, this and the Reubenites and Gadites had already receivedtheir heritage, given them by Moses on the further, eastern side of the Jordan, the one which Moses, servant ofYahweh, had already given them:	8 Os rubenitas, os gaditas e a outra metade da tribo de Manassés tinham recebido de Moisés sua parte além do Jordão ao oriente, assim como Moisés, servo do Senhor, lhes tinha marcado:
9 The country onwards from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Val ey, with the town in the bottom of theval ey and the entire tableland from Medeba to Dibon;	9 desde Aroer, que está situada na margem da torrente do Arnon, e desde a cidade que está no meio do vale e toda a planície de Medaba, até Dibon;
10 al the towns of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reigned in Heshbon, to the frontier of theAmmonites;	10 todas as cidades de Seon, rei dos amorreus, que reinava em Hesebon, até a fronteira dos amonitas;
11 then Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites with the whole Hermon range and thewhole of Bashan as far as Salecah;	11 Galaad, o território dos jessureus e dos macateus, toda a montanha do Hermon e todo o Basã até Saleca;
12 and in Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei, and was the lastof the survivors of the Rephaim. Moses had conquered and dispossessed these two kings.	12 todo o reino de Og, em Basã, que reinava em Astarot e Edrai, último resto da descendência dos refains. Moisés bateu-os e expulsou-os.
13 The Israelites did not, however, dispossess either the Geshurites or the Maacathites, hence Geshurand Maacah survive inside Israel even today.	13 Os filhos de Israel, porém, não expulsaram os jessureus, nem os macateus, e assim esses povos ficaram habitando até o dia de hoje entre nós.
14 To the tribe of Levi alone no heritage was given; Yahweh, God of Israel, was his heritage, as he hadtold him.	14 A tribo de Levi foi a única que não recebeu herança de Moisés; porque os sacrifícios oferecidos pelo fogo ao Senhor, Deus de Israel, são a sua herança, como ele lho havia dito.
15 Moses had given the tribe of the sons of Reuben a share by clans.	15 Moisés havia, pois, dado aos rubenitas a sua parte, segundo as suas famílias.
16 Thus, their territory was the entire tableland from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Val ey, with the townin the bottom of the val ey, as far as Medeba,	16 Seu território partia de Aroer, situada na margem da torrente de Arnon, e da cidade que está no meio da torrente, e compreendia toda a planície junto de Medaba,
17 Heshbon with all the towns on the tableland: Dibon, Bamoth-Baal, Beth-Baal-Meon,	17 Hesebon e todas as suas cidades na planície, Dibon, Bamot-Baal, Bet-Baal-Maon,
18 Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,	18 Jassa, Cedimot, Mefaat,
19 Kiriathaim, Sibmah and, in the highlands of the Arabah, Zereth-Shahar;	19 Cariataim, Sabama, Sarat-Asar na montanha do vale,
20 Beth-Peor, the watered foothills of Mount Pisgah, Beth-ha-Jeshimoth,	20 Bet-Fogor, as encostas do Fasga, Bet-Jesimot,
21 al the towns on the tableland and the entire kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reignedin Heshbon; he had been defeated by Moses, and with him the princes of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur andReba, vassals of Sihon, formerly living in the country.	21 todas as cidades da planície, todo o reino de Seon, rei dos amorreus, de Hesebon, que Moisés havia derrotado com os príncipes de Madiã, Evi, Recém, Sur, Hur e Rebé, tributários de Seon naquela terra.
22 As regards Balaam son of Beor, the soothsayer, the Israelites had put him to the sword with thosewhom they had kil ed.	22 Entre os que foram mortos pela espada dos israelitas figura também o adivinho Balaão, filho de Beor.
23 The boundary of the Reubenites was the Jordan and its territory. Such was the heritage of the sons ofReuben, by clans, with the towns and vil ages belonging to them.	23 O rio Jordão ficou sendo o limite do território dos rubenitas. Tais são as cidades e aldeias que couberam aos rubenitas, segundo suas famílias.
24 Moses had given the tribe of Gad, the sons of Gad, a share by clans.	24 Moisés deu também aos gaditas uma parte segundo suas famílias.
25 Their territory was Jazer, al the towns of Gilead, half the country of the Ammonites as far as Aroerfacing Rabbah,	25 Seu território foi o seguinte: Jaser, todas as cidades de Galaad, a metade da terra dos amonitas até Aroer, defronte de Raba,
26 and from Heshbon to Ramath-Mizpeh and Betonim; from Mahanaim as far as the territory of Lo-Debar,	26 desde Hesebon até Rabot-Masfé e Betonim, e desde Manaim até a fronteira de Dabir;
27 and in the val ey: Beth-Haram, Beth-Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon -- the rest of the kingdom of Sihonking of Heshbon -- the Jordan and the territory running to the tip of the Sea of Chinneroth, on the further, easternside of the Jordan.	27 e, no vale, Bet-Harão, Bet-Nemra, Socot e Safon, restos do reino de Seon, rei de Hesebon; o Jordão e seu território até os confins do mar de Ceneret, além do Jordão, para o oriente.
28 Such was the heritage of the sons of Gad, by clans, with their towns and vil ages belonging to them.	28 Tal foi, em cidades e em aldeias, a parte dos gaditas segundo suas famílias.
29 Moses had given the half-tribe of Manasseh a share by clans.	29 Moisés dera também à meia tribo de Manassés, aos seus filhos, segundo as suas famílias, a sua parte.
30 Their territory, starting from Mahanaim, was the whole of Bashan, the entire kingdom of Og king ofBashan, all the Encampments of Jair in Bashan: sixty towns.	30 O seu território compreendia Manaim, todo o Basã, todo o reino de Og, rei de Basã, e todas as aldeias de Jair em Basã: sessenta localidades.
31 Half of Gilead, with Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the royal cities of Og in Bashan, were al otted to the sons ofMachir son of Manasseh, to half of the sons of Machir, by clans.	31 A metade de Galaad, Astarot e Edrai, cidades do reino de Og em Basã, foram dadas aos filhos de Maquir, filho de Manassés, isto é, à metade dos filhos de Maquir, segundo suas famílias.
32 This was what Moses had conferred in heritage on the Plains of Moab on the further, eastern side ofthe Jordan opposite Jericho.	32 Tais são as partes que Moisés distribuiu nas planícies de Moab, além do Jordão, para o oriente, defronte de Jericó.
33 To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses gave no heritage; Yahweh, God of Israel, was his heritage, ashe had told him.	33 À tribo de Levi, porém, não deu herança alguma, porque o Senhor, Deus de Israel, é a sua herança, como ele lho tinha dito.
