NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Now Joshua had grown old and advanced in years. Yahweh said to him, 'You are now old andadvanced in years, yet there is stil a great deal of territory left to be taken possession of.	1 Als Josua alt und hochbetagt war, sagte der Herr zu ihm: Du bist alt und hochbetagt, aber vom Land bleibt noch sehr viel in Besitz zu nehmen.
2 This is al the territory left: 'Al the districts of the Philistines and the whole country of the Geshurites;	2 Das ist das Land, das noch übrig ist: alle Bezirke der Philister und das ganze Gebiet der Geschuriter
3 from the Shihor, facing Egypt, to the frontier of Ekron in the north, is reckoned as Canaanite territory.The five rulers of the Philistines have their seats at Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath and Ekron, respectively; theAvvites are in	3 vom Schihor-Fluss östlich von Ägypten bis zum Gebiet von Ekron im Norden - es wird den Kanaanitern zugerechnet -, die fünf Philisterfürsten von Gaza, Aschdod, Aschkelon, Gat und Ekron sowie die Awiter
4 the south. The entire territory of the Canaanites, and Mearah which belongs to the Sidonians, as far asAphekah and as far as the frontier of the Amorites;	4 im Süden, das ganze Land der Kanaaniter und Meara, das zu Sidon gehört, bis nach Afek und bis zum Gebiet der Amoriter,
5 and then the country of the Gebalites with the entire Lebanon eastwards from Baal-Gad at the foot ofMount Hermon to the Pass of Hamath.	5 ferner das Land der Gibliter und der ganze Libanon im Osten, von Baal-Gad am Fuß des Hermongebirges bis nach Lebo-Hamat.
6 'All who live in the highlands from the Lebanon to Misrephoth in the west -- al the Sidonians -- I myselfshall dispossess before the Israelites. Al you have to do is to distribute the territory as a heritage for theIsraelites as I have ordered you.	6 Alle Bewohner des Berglandes vom Libanon bis nach Misrefot-Majim, alle Sidonier werde ich selbst vor den Israeliten vertreiben. Du aber verlose das Land unter Israel als Erbbesitz, wie ich es dir befohlen habe.
7 The time has come to divide this territory as a heritage between the nine tribes and the half-tribe ofManasseh: from the Jordan as far as the Great Sea in the west, you must give it them; the Great Sea wil betheir limit.'	7 Verteil nun dieses Land als Erbbesitz an die neun Stämme und den halben Stamm Manasse.
8 As regards the other half-tribe of Manasseh, this and the Reubenites and Gadites had already receivedtheir heritage, given them by Moses on the further, eastern side of the Jordan, the one which Moses, servant ofYahweh, had already given them:	8 Die andere Hälfte des Stammes Manasse und mit ihm die Rubeniter und Gaditer hatten ihren Erbbesitz schon erhalten; ihn hatte Mose ihnen jenseits des Jordan im Osten gegeben, [wie ihn Mose, der Knecht des Herrn, ihnen zugewiesen hatte],
9 The country onwards from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Val ey, with the town in the bottom of theval ey and the entire tableland from Medeba to Dibon;	9 von Aroër am Rand des Arnontales und von der Stadt an, die mitten im Tal liegt, also die ganze Ebene von Medeba bis Dibon,
10 al the towns of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reigned in Heshbon, to the frontier of theAmmonites;	10 alle Städte des Amoriterkönigs Sihon, der in Heschbon herrschte, bis zum Gebiet der Ammoniter,
11 then Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites with the whole Hermon range and thewhole of Bashan as far as Salecah;	11 dazu Gilead und das Gebiet der Geschuriter und Maachatiter und das ganze Hermongebirge und den ganzen Baschan bis nach Salcha,
12 and in Bashan, the whole kingdom of Og, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei, and was the lastof the survivors of the Rephaim. Moses had conquered and dispossessed these two kings.	12 das ganze Reich des Og im Baschan, der in Aschtarot und Edreï herrschte. Er war vom Rest der Rafaïter übrig geblieben. Mose hatte sie geschlagen und vertrieben.
13 The Israelites did not, however, dispossess either the Geshurites or the Maacathites, hence Geshurand Maacah survive inside Israel even today.	13 Aber die Israeliten vertrieben die Geschuriter und die Maachatiter nicht; so wohnen Geschuriter und Maachatiter bis zum heutigen Tag mitten in Israel.
14 To the tribe of Levi alone no heritage was given; Yahweh, God of Israel, was his heritage, as he hadtold him.	14 Nur dem Stamm Levi gab Josua keinen Erbbesitz; der Herr, der Gott Israels, ist sein Erbteil, wie der Herr ihm gesagt hatte.
15 Moses had given the tribe of the sons of Reuben a share by clans.	15 Die Zuteilung an den Stamm der Rubeniter hatte also Mose entsprechend ihren Sippen vorgenommen.
16 Thus, their territory was the entire tableland from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Val ey, with the townin the bottom of the val ey, as far as Medeba,	16 Ihnen war zuteil geworden das Gebiet von Aroër am Rand des Arnontales und von der Stadt an, die mitten im Tal liegt: die ganze Ebene bei Medeba,
17 Heshbon with all the towns on the tableland: Dibon, Bamoth-Baal, Beth-Baal-Meon,	17 Heschbon und alle seine Städte in der Ebene, Dibon, Bamot-Baal und Bet-Baal-Meon,
18 Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,	18 Jahaz, Kedemot und Mefaat,
19 Kiriathaim, Sibmah and, in the highlands of the Arabah, Zereth-Shahar;	19 Kirjatajim, Sibma und Zeret- Schahar auf dem Berg im Tal,
20 Beth-Peor, the watered foothills of Mount Pisgah, Beth-ha-Jeshimoth,	20 Bet-Pegor, die Abhänge des Pisga, Bet-Jeschimot
21 al the towns on the tableland and the entire kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who had reignedin Heshbon; he had been defeated by Moses, and with him the princes of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur andReba, vassals of Sihon, formerly living in the country.	21 und alle Städte der Ebene, das heißt: das ganze Reich des Amoriterkönigs Sihon, der in Heschbon herrschte. Mose hatte ihn und die Fürsten Midians geschlagen: Ewi, Rekem, Zur, Hur und Reba, die Heerführer Sihons, die im Land wohnten.
22 As regards Balaam son of Beor, the soothsayer, the Israelites had put him to the sword with thosewhom they had kil ed.	22 Auch den Wahrsager Bileam, den Sohn Beors, hatten die Israeliten zusammen mit den anderen mit dem Schwert erschlagen.
23 The boundary of the Reubenites was the Jordan and its territory. Such was the heritage of the sons ofReuben, by clans, with the towns and vil ages belonging to them.	23 Die Grenze der Rubeniter bildete der Jordan und sein Ufergebiet. Dieses Gebiet mit seinen Städten und Gehöften ist der Erbbesitz der Rubeniter, entsprechend ihren Sippen.
24 Moses had given the tribe of Gad, the sons of Gad, a share by clans.	24 Mose hatte auch die Zuteilung an den Stamm Gad, die Gaditer, entsprechend ihren Sippen vorgenommen.
25 Their territory was Jazer, al the towns of Gilead, half the country of the Ammonites as far as Aroerfacing Rabbah,	25 Ihnen war zuteil geworden das Gebiet von Jaser und alle Städte Gileads, das halbe Land der Ammoniter bis Aroër, das gegenüber Rabba liegt,
26 and from Heshbon to Ramath-Mizpeh and Betonim; from Mahanaim as far as the territory of Lo-Debar,	26 (das Land) von Heschbon bis Ramat-Mizpe und Betonim und von Mahanajim bis zum Gebiet von Lo-Dabar,
27 and in the val ey: Beth-Haram, Beth-Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon -- the rest of the kingdom of Sihonking of Heshbon -- the Jordan and the territory running to the tip of the Sea of Chinneroth, on the further, easternside of the Jordan.	27 dazu im Tal Bet-Haram, Bet- Nimra, Sukkot und Zafon - der Rest des Reiches Sihons, des Königs von Heschbon -, ferner der Jordan und das Gebiet bis zum Ende des Sees von Kinneret jenseits des Jordan im Osten.
28 Such was the heritage of the sons of Gad, by clans, with their towns and vil ages belonging to them.	28 Dieses Gebiet mit seinen Städten und Gehöften ist der Erbbesitz der Gaditer, entsprechend ihren Sippen.
29 Moses had given the half-tribe of Manasseh a share by clans.	29 Mose hatte auch die Zuteilung an den halben Stamm Manasse vorgenommen, [dem halben Stamm Manasse wurde zuteil] entsprechend seinen Sippen.
30 Their territory, starting from Mahanaim, was the whole of Bashan, the entire kingdom of Og king ofBashan, all the Encampments of Jair in Bashan: sixty towns.	30 Sein Gebiet umfasste von Mahanajim an den ganzen Baschan, das ganze Reich des Königs Og vom Baschan und alle Zeltdörfer Jaïrs im Baschan, sechzig Städte.
31 Half of Gilead, with Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the royal cities of Og in Bashan, were al otted to the sons ofMachir son of Manasseh, to half of the sons of Machir, by clans.	31 Die Hälfte von Gilead sowie Aschtarot und Edreï, die Königsstädte des Og vom Baschan, fiel den Nachkommen Machirs, des Sohnes Manasses zu, und zwar der Hälfte der Machiriter entsprechend ihren Sippen.
32 This was what Moses had conferred in heritage on the Plains of Moab on the further, eastern side ofthe Jordan opposite Jericho.	32 Das sind die Gebiete, die Mose in den Steppen von Moab jenseits des Jordan östlich von Jericho als Erbbesitz verteilt hatte.
33 To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses gave no heritage; Yahweh, God of Israel, was his heritage, ashe had told him.	33 Dem Stamm Levi aber hatte Mose keinen Erbbesitz zugeteilt. Der Herr, der Gott Israels, ist ihr Erbteil, wie er es ihnen gesagt hatte.
