NEW JERUSALEM	GREEK BIBLE
1 Since you have been raised up to be with Christ, you must look for the things that are above, whereChrist is, sitting at God's right hand.	1 Εαν λοιπον συνανεστητε μετα του Χριστου, τα ανω ζητειτε, οπου ειναι ο Χριστος καθημενος εν δεξια του Θεου,
2 Let your thoughts be on things above, not on the things that are on the earth,	2 τα ανω φρονειτε, μη τα επι της γης.
3 because you have died, and now the life you have is hidden with Christ in God.	3 Διοτι απεθανετε, και η ζωη σας ειναι κεκρυμμενη μετα του Χριστου εν τω Θεω?
4 But when Christ is revealed -- and he is your life-you, too, wil be revealed with him in glory.	4 οταν ο Χριστος, η ζωη ημων, φανερωθη, τοτε και σεις μετ' αυτου θελετε φανερωθη εν δοξη.
5 That is why you must kill everything in you that is earthly: sexual vice, impurity, uncontrol ed passion,evil desires and especially greed, which is the same thing as worshipping a false god;	5 Νεκρωσατε λοιπον τα μελη σας τα επι της γης, πορνειαν, ακαθαρσιαν, παθος, επιθυμιαν κακην και την πλεονεξιαν, ητις ειναι ειδωλολατρεια,
6 it is precisely these things which draw God's retribution upon those who resist.	6 δια τα οποια ερχεται η οργη του Θεου επι τους υιους της απειθειας,
7 And these things made up your way of life when you were living among such people,	7 εις τα οποια και σεις περιεπατησατε ποτε, οτε εζητε εν αυτοις?
8 but now you also must give up al these things: human anger, hot temper, malice, abusive language anddirty talk;	8 τωρα ομως απορριψατε και σεις ταυτα παντα, οργην, θυμον, κακιαν, βλασφημιαν, αισχρολογιαν εκ του στοματος σας?
9 and do not lie to each other. You have stripped off your old behaviour with your old self,	9 μη ψευδεσθε εις αλληλους, αφου απεξεδυθητε τον παλαιον ανθρωπον μετα των πραξεων αυτου
10 and you have put on a new self which will progress towards true knowledge the more it is renewed inthe image of its Creator;	10 και ενεδυθητε τον νεον, τον ανακαινιζομενον εις επιγνωσιν κατα την εικονα του κτισαντος αυτον,
11 and in that image there is no room for distinction between Greek and Jew, between the circumcisedand uncircumcised, or between barbarian and Scythian, slave and free. There is only Christ: he is everythingand he is in everything.	11 οπου δεν ειναι Ελλην και Ιουδαιος, περιτομη και ακροβυστια, βαρβαρος, Σκυθης, δουλος, ελευθερος, αλλα τα παντα και εν πασιν ειναι ο Χριστος.
12 As the chosen of God, then, the holy people whom he loves, you are to be clothed in heartfeltcompassion, in generosity and humility, gentleness and patience.	12 Ενδυθητε λοιπον, ως εκλεκτοι του Θεου αγιοι και ηγαπημενοι, σπλαγχνα οικτιρμων, χρηστοτητα, ταπεινοφροσυνην, πραοτητα, μακροθυμιαν,
13 Bear with one another; forgive each other if one of you has a complaint against another. The Lord hasforgiven you; now you must do the same.	13 υποφεροντες αλληλους και συγχωρουντες εις αλληλους, εαν τις εχη παραπονον κατα τινος? καθως και ο Χριστος συνεχωρησεν εις εσας, ουτω και σεις?
14 Over al these clothes, put on love, the perfect bond.	14 και εν πασι τουτοις ενδυθητε την αγαπην, ητις ειναι συνδεσμος της τελειοτητος.
15 And may the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it is for this that you were cal ed together inone body. Always be thankful.	15 Και η ειρηνη του Θεου ας βασιλευη εν ταις καρδιαις υμων, εις την οποιαν και προσεκληθητε εις εν σωμα? και γινεσθε ευγνωμονες.
16 Let the Word of Christ, in al its richness, find a home with you. Teach each other, and advise eachother, in al wisdom. With gratitude in your hearts sing psalms and hymns and inspired songs to God;	16 Ο λογος του Χριστου ας κατοικη εν υμιν πλουσιως μετα πασης σοφιας? διδασκοντες και νουθετουντες αλληλους με ψαλμους και υμνους και ωδας πνευματικας, εν χαριτι ψαλλοντες εκ της καρδιας υμων προς τον Κυριον.
17 and whatever you say or do, let it be in the name of the Lord Jesus, in thanksgiving to God the Fatherthrough him.	17 Και παν ο, τι αν πραττητε εν λογω η εν εργω, παντα εν τω ονοματι του Κυριου Ιησου πραττετε, ευχαριστουντες δι' αυτου τον Θεον και Πατερα.
18 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as you should in the Lord.	18 Αι γυναικες, υποτασσεσθε εις τους ανδρας σας, καθως πρεπει εν Κυριω.
19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be sharp with them.	19 Οι ανδρες, αγαπατε τας γυναικας σας και μη ησθε πικροι προς αυτας.
20 Children, be obedient to your parents always, because that is what will please the Lord.	20 Τα τεκνα, υπακουετε εις τους γονεις κατα παντα? διοτι τουτο ειναι ευαρεστον εις τον Κυριον.
21 Parents, do not irritate your children or they will lose heart.	21 Οι πατερες, μη ερεθιζετε τα τεκνα σας, δια να μη μικροψυχωσιν.
22 Slaves, be obedient in every way to the people who, according to human reckoning, are your masters;not only when you are under their eye, as if you had only to please human beings, but wholeheartedly, out ofrespect for the Master.	22 Οι δουλοι, υπακουετε κατα παντα εις τους κατα σαρκα κυριους σας, ουχι με οφθαλμοδουλειας ως ανθρωπαρεσκοι, αλλα με απλοτητα καρδιας, φοβουμενοι τον Θεον.
23 Whatever your work is, put your heart into it as done for the Lord and not for human beings,	23 Και παν ο, τι αν πραττητε, εκ ψυχης εργαζεσθε, ως εις τον Κυριον και ουχι εις ανθρωπους,
24 knowing that the Lord wil repay you by making you his heirs. It is Christ the Lord that you are serving.	24 εξευροντες οτι απο του Κυριου θελετε λαβει την ανταποδοσιν της κληρονομιας? διοτι εις τον Κυριον Χριστον δουλευετε.
25 Anyone who does wrong wil be repaid in kind. For there is no favouritism.	25 Οστις ομως αδικει, θελει λαβει την αμοιβην της αδικιας αυτου, και δεν υπαρχει προσωποληψια.
