1 About the gifts of the Spirit, brothers, I want you to be quite certain.	1 Riguardo poi ai doni spirituali non voglio, che voi, o fratelli, siete nell'ignoranza.
2 You remember that, when you were pagans, you were irresistibly drawn to inarticulate heathen gods.	2 Or voi sapete, che essendo voi gentili, concorrevate ai muti simolacri secondo che vi eravate condotti.
3 Because of that, I want to make it quite clear to you that no one who says 'A curse on Jesus' can bespeaking in the Spirit of God, and nobody is able to say, 'Jesus is Lord' except in the Holy Spirit.	3 Per questo vi fo sapere, che niuno, che parli per ispirito di Dio, dice anatema a Gesù. È niuno può dire. Signore Gesù, se non per Ispirito santo.
4 There are many different gifts, but it is always the same Spirit;	4 Vi sono però distinzioni di doni, ma un medesimo Spirito:
5 there are many different ways of serving, but it is always the same Lord.	5 E vi sono distinzioni di ministerj, ma un medesimo Signore:
6 There are many different forms of activity, but in everybody it is the same God who is at work in themal .	6 E vi sono distinzioni di operazioni, ma lo stesso Dio è quegli, che fa in tutti tutte le cose.
7 The particular manifestation of the Spirit granted to each one is to be used for the general good.	7 A ciascheduno poi è data la manifestazione dello Spirito per utilità.
8 To one is given from the Spirit the gift of utterance expressing wisdom; to another the gift of utteranceexpressing knowledge, in accordance with the same Spirit;	8 E all'uno è dato per mezzo dello Spirito il linguaggio della sapienza: all'altro poi il linguaggio della scienza secondo il medesimo Spirito:
9 to another, faith, from the same Spirit; and to another, the gifts of healing, through this one Spirit;	9 Ad un altro la fede pel medesimo Spirito: ad un altro il dono delle guarigioni pel medesimo Spirito:
10 to another, the working of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, the power of distinguishingspirits; to one, the gift of different tongues and to another, the interpretation of tongues.	10 Ad un altro l'operazione de' prodigj, ad un altro la profezia, ad un altro la discrezione degli spiriti, ad un altro ogni genere di lingue, ad un altro l'interpretazione delle favelle.
11 But at work in al these is one and the same Spirit, distributing them at wil to each individual.	11 Ma tutte queste cose le opera quell'uno istesso Spirito, il quale distribuisce a ciascuno secondo che a lui piace.
12 For as with the human body which is a unity although it has many parts -- al the parts of the body,though many, stil making up one single body -- so it is with Christ.	12 Imperocché siccome uno o il corpo, ed ha molte membra, e tutte le membra del corpo essendo molte, nulladimeno sono un solo corpo: cosi anche Cristo.
13 We were baptised into one body in a single Spirit, Jews as wel as Greeks, slaves as wel as freemen, and we were all given the same Spirit to drink.	13 Imperocché in un solo Spirito siamo stati battezzati tutti noi per essere un solo corpo, o Giudei, o Gentili, o servi, o liberi: e tutti siamo stati abbeverati di un solo Spirito.
14 And indeed the body consists not of one member but of many.	14 Imperocché il corpo non è un solo membro, ma molti.
15 If the foot were to say, 'I am not a hand and so I do not belong to the body,' it does not belong to thebody any the less for that.	15 Se dirà il piede: non sono del corpo, attesoché io non son mano: forse per questo non è del corpo?
16 Or if the ear were to say, 'I am not an eye, and so I do not belong to the body,' that would not stop itsbelonging to the body.	16 E se dirà l'orecchio: non sono del corpo, attesoché non sono occhio: forse per questo non è del corpo?
17 If the whole body were just an eye, how would there be any hearing? If the whole body were hearing,how would there be any smel ing?	17 Se il corpo fosse tutto occhio: dove l'udito? Se tutto udito: dove l'odorato?
18 As it is, God has put al the separate parts into the body as he chose.	18 Ora però Dio ha collocato i membri del corpo, ciascheduno di essi nel modo, che volle.
19 If they were al the same part, how could it be a body?	19 Che se fosser tutti un sol membro, dove il corpo?
20 As it is, the parts are many but the body is one.	20 Ora però le membra son molte, uno il corpo.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, 'I have no need of you,' and nor can the head say to the feet, 'I haveno need of you.'	21 E non può dire l'occhio alla mano: non ho bisogno dell'opera tua: o similmente il capo a' piedi: non siete necessarj per me.
22 What is more, it is precisely the parts of the body that seem to be the weakest which are theindispensable ones.	22 Anzi molto più sono necessarie quelle membra del corpo, le quali sembrano più deboli:
23 It is the parts of the body which we consider least dignified that we surround with the greatest dignity;and our less presentable parts are given greater presentability	23 E a quelle membra, le quali crediamo le più ignobili del corpo, a queste mettiamo attorno maggior ornato: ed a quello, che è in noi di inonesto, si ha riguardo maggiore.
24 which our presentable parts do not need. God has composed the body so that greater dignity isgiven to the parts which were without it,	24 E le parti nostre oneste non han bisogno di nulla: ma Dio contemperò il corpo col dare maggior onore a quelle, che ne mancavano,
25 and so that there may not be disagreements inside the body but each part may be equal y concernedfor all the others.	25 Affinchè non siavi scisma nel corpo, ma abbiano le membra la stessa cura le une per le altre.
26 If one part is hurt, al the parts share its pain. And if one part is honoured, all the parts share its joy.	26 E se un membro patisce, patiscono insieme tutti i membri: e se un membro gode, godono insieme tutte le membra.
27 Now Christ's body is yourselves, each of you with a part to play in the whole.	27 Or voi siete corpo di Cristo, e membri (uniti) a membro.
28 And those whom God has appointed in the Church are, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdlyteachers; after them, miraculous powers, then gifts of healing, helpful acts, guidance, various kinds of tongues.	28 E alcuni ha Dio costituiti nella Chiesa in primo luogo Apostoli, in secondo luogo profeti, terzo dottori, di poi le podestà, poscia i doni delle guarigioni, i sovvenimenti, i governi, le lingue di ogni genere, e le interpretazioni delle favelle.
29 Are al of them apostles? Or all prophets? Or all teachers? Or al miracle-workers?	29 Forse tutti Apostoli? Forse tutti profeti? Forse tutti dottori?
30 Do al have the gifts of healing? Do al of them speak in tongues and al interpret them?	30 Forse tutti sono podestà? Forse tutti hanno il dono delle guarigioni? Forse tutti parlano le lingue? Forse tutti le interpretano?
31 Set your mind on the higher gifts. And now I am going to put before you the best way of all.	31 Aspirate però ai doni migliori. Anzi v'insegno una via più sublime.
