1 'But if you faithful y obey the voice of Yahweh your God, by keeping and observing al hiscommandments, which I am laying down for you today, Yahweh your God wil raise you higher than every othernation in the world,	1 »Ako zbilja poslušaš glas Jahve, Boga svoga, držeći i vršeći sve njegove zapovijedi što ti ih danas naređujem, Jahve, Bog tvoj, uzvisit će te nad sve narode na zemlji.
2 and al these blessings wil befal and overtake you, for having obeyed the voice of Yahweh your God.	2 Svi ovi blagoslovi sići će na te i stići će te ako budeš slušao glas Jahve, Boga svoga.
3 'You wil be blessed in the town and blessed in the countryside;	3 Blagoslovljen ćeš biti u gradu, blagoslovljen u polju.
4 blessed, the offspring of your body, the yield of your soil, the yield of your livestock, the young of yourcattle and the increase of your flocks;	4 Blagoslovljen će biti plod utrobe tvoje, rod zemlje tvoje, plod blaga tvoga: mlad krava tvojih i prirast stada tvoga.
5 blessed, your basket and your kneading trough.	5 Blagoslovljen će biti tvoj koš i naćve tvoje.
6 You wil be blessed in coming home, and blessed in going out.	6 Blagoslovljen ćeš biti kad ulaziš, blagoslovljen kad izlaziš.
7 The enemies who attack you, Yahweh wil defeat before your eyes; they wil advance on you from onedirection and flee from you in seven.	7 Neprijatelje tvoje koji se dignu protiv tebe Jahve će položiti preda te potučene; jednim će putem izaći na te, a na sedam putova razbježat će se ispred tebe.
8 Yahweh wil command blessedness to be with you, on your barns and on al your undertakings, andhe wil bless you in the country given you by Yahweh your God.	8 Jahve će narediti da blagoslov bude s tobom u žitnicama tvojim i u svakom pothvatu ruke tvoje i blagoslivljat će te u zemlji koju ti Jahve, Bog tvoj, daje.
9 'From you Yahweh wil make a people consecrated to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep thecommandments of Yahweh your God and fol ow his ways.	9 Jahve će od tebe učiniti narod sebi posvećen, kako ti se zakleo, ako budeš držao zapovijedi Jahve, Boga svoga, i hodio njegovim putovima.
10 The peoples of the world, seeing that you bear Yahweh's name, wil al be afraid of you.	10 Svi narodi zemlje vidjet će da je nada te zazvano ime Jahvino te će strahovati od tebe.
11 Yahweh wil make you abound in possessions: in the offspring of your body, in the yield of your cattleand in the yield of your soil, in the country which he swore to your ancestors that he would give you.	11 Jahve će te obasuti obilnim dobrima: porodom utrobe tvoje, priraštajem blaga tvoga i rodom s tla tvoga u zemlji za koju se Jahve zakleo ocima tvojim da će ti je dati.
12 For you Yahweh wil open his treasury of rain, the heavens, to give your country its rain at the righttime, and to bless al your labours. You wil make many nations your subjects, yet you wil be subject to none.	12 Jahve će ti otvoriti svoju bogatu riznicu – nebo – da daje kišu tvojoj zemlji u pravo vrijeme i blagoslovi svaki pothvat ruku tvojih. Mnogim ćeš narodima u zajam davati, a sam nećeš uzimati u zajam.
13 Yahweh wil put you at the head, not at the tail; you wil always be on top and never underneath, ifyou listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I am laying down for you today, and then keepthem and put them into practice,	13 Jahve će te držati na pročelju, a ne u začelju; uvijek ćeš biti na vrhu, nikad na dnu, ako budeš slušao zapovijedi Jahve, Boga svoga, što ti ih danas naređujem da ih držiš i vršiš.
14 not deviating to right or to left from any of the words which I am laying down for you today, byfol owing other gods and serving them.	14 Ni od jedne riječi što vam je danas nalažem nemoj odstupati ni desno ni lijevo idući za drugim bogovima i iskazujući im štovanje.«
15 'But if you do not obey the voice of Yahweh your God, and do not keep and observe all hiscommandments and laws which I am laying down for you today then all these curses wil befall and overtakeyou.	15 »Ali ako ne budeš slušao glasa Jahve, Boga svoga, ne držeći i ne vršeći svih njegovih zapovijedi i svih njegovih zakona što ti ih danas naređujem, sva će ova prokletstva doći na te i stići će te:
16 'You wil be accursed in the town and accursed in the countryside;	16 Proklet ćeš biti u gradu, proklet u polju.
17 accursed, your basket and your kneading trough;	17 Proklet će biti koš tvoj i naćve tvoje.
18 accursed, the offspring of your body, the yield of your soil, the young of your cattle and the increaseof your flock.	18 Proklet će biti plod utrobe tvoje i rod zemlje tvoje, mlad krava tvojih i priraštaj stada tvoga.
19 You wil be accursed in coming home, and accursed in going out.	19 Proklet ćeš biti kad ulaziš, proklet kad izlaziš.
20 'Yahweh wil send a curse on you, a spel , an imprecation on al your labours until you have beendestroyed and quickly perish, because of your perverse behaviour, for having deserted me.	20 Jahve će na te puštati prokletstvo, zabunu i kletvu u svemu na što pružiš ruku svoju da uradiš, sve dok ne budeš satrt i brzo ne propadneš zbog zloće svojih djela kojima si me napustio.
21 Yahweh wil fasten the plague on you, until it has exterminated you from the country which you areabout to enter and make your own.	21 Kugu će Jahve za te privezati dok te ne nestane sa zemlje u koju ideš da je zaposjedneš.
22 Yahweh wil strike you down with consumption, fever, inflammation, burning fever, drought, wind-blast, mildew, and these wil pursue you to your ruin.	22 Jahve će te udariti sušicom, groznicom, upalom, žegom i sušom, medljikom i snijeti; to će te goniti dok te ne nestane.
23 The heavens above you wil be brass, the earth beneath you iron.	23 Nebesa nad tvojom glavom postat će mjedena, a tlo pod tvojim nogama postat će gvozdeno.
24 Your country's rain Yahweh wil turn into dust and sand; it will fal on you from the heavens until youperish.	24 Kišu tvoje zemlje Jahve će pretvarati u pijesak i prašinu da na te pada s nebesa dok te ne uništi.
25 Yahweh wil have you defeated by your enemies; you will advance on them from one direction andflee from them in seven; and you wil be a terrifying object-lesson to al the kingdoms of the world.	25 Jahve će od tebe učiniti pobijeđenoga pred tvojim neprijateljima; jednim ćeš putem prema njima izlaziti, a na sedam putova bježat ćeš ispred njih. Strašilo ćeš postati za sva zemaljska kraljevstva.
26 Your carcase will be carrion for al wild birds and al wild animals, with no one to scare them away.	26 I mrtvo tijelo tvoje postat će hranom svim pticama nebeskim i svoj zvjeradi zemaljskoj. Nikoga neće biti da ih plaši.
27 'Yahweh wil strike you down with Egyptian ulcers, with swel ings in the groin, with scurvy and theitch, for which you wil find no cure.	27 Jahve će te udarati egipatskim prištevima, čirevima, krastama i svrabom, od kojih se nećeš moći izliječiti.
28 Yahweh wil strike you down with madness, blindness, distraction of mind,	28 Jahve će te udarati bjesnilom, sljepoćom i ludilom;
29 until you grope your way at noon like a blind man groping in the dark, and your steps will lead younowhere. 'You will never be anything but exploited and plundered, with no one to save you.	29 u po bijela dana tumarat ćeš kao što tumara slijepac po mraku; nećeš imati uspjeha u svojim pothvatima; sve vrijeme svoje bit ćeš izrabljivan i pljačkan, a neće biti nikoga da te spasi.
30 Get engaged to a woman, another man will have her; build a house, you wil not live in it; plant avineyard, you wil not gather its first-fruits.	30 Sa ženom ćeš se zaručivati, ali će je drugi posjedovati. Kuću ćeš graditi, ali u njoj nećeš stanovati. Vinograd ćeš zasađivati, ali ga nećeš brati.
31 Your ox wil be slaughtered before your eyes and you will eat none of it; your donkey wil be carriedoff in front of you and not be returned to you; your sheep wil be given to your enemies, and no one will come toyour help.	31 Tvoga će vola na tvoje oči zaklati, ali ti od njega nećeš jesti; tvoga će magarca ispred tebe otimati, ali ti ga neće vraćati; stado će tvoje neprijatelju tvome predavati, a neće biti nikoga da ti pritekne u pomoć.
32 Your sons and daughters wil be handed over to another people, and every day you will wear youreyes out watching for them, while your hands are powerless.	32 Sinovi tvoji i kćeri tvoje bit će predavani drugome narodu. Oči će tvoje svaki dan kapati gledajući za njima, ali ruka tvoja neće moći ništa.
33 A nation hitherto unknown to you wil eat the yield of your soil and of all your hard work. You wilnever be anything but exploited and crushed.	33 Narod koji i ne poznaješ jest će plod sa zemlje tvoje i svu muku tvoju, dok ćeš ti sve vrijeme svoje biti izrabljivan i gažen.
34 You wil be driven mad by the sights you wil see.	34 Ludovat ćeš od prizora što će ih oči tvoje gledati.
35 Yahweh wil strike you down with foul ulcers on knee and leg, for which you wil find no cure -- fromthe sole of your foot to the top of your head.	35 Jahve će te udarati ljutim prištevima po koljenima i po stegnima – od stopala nogu tvojih do tjemena na glavi tvojoj – od kojih se nećeš moći izliječiti.
36 'Yahweh wil send away both you and the king whom you have appointed to rule you to a nationunknown either to you or to your ancestors, and there you will serve other gods, made of wood and stone.	36 Jahve će odvesti i tebe i tvoga kralja, koga budeš postavio nad sobom, među narod nepoznat i tebi i tvojim ocima te ćeš ondje iskazivati štovanje drugim bogovima, drvenim i kamenim.
37 And you wil be the astonishment, the byword, the laughing-stock of al the peoples where Yahweh istaking you.	37 Bit ćeš na zgražanje, porugu i ruglo svim narodima među koje te Jahve odvede.
38 'You wil cast seed in plenty on the fields but harvest little, since the locust wil devour it.	38 Mnogo ćeš sjemena bacati u polje, ali ćeš malo žeti jer će ti urod skakavci ogolijevati.
39 You wil plant and till your vineyards but not drink the wine or gather the grapes, since the grub willeat them up.	39 Vinograde ćeš saditi i obrađivati, ali vina nećeš piti niti ćeš što brati jer će ih crv izjedati.
40 You wil grow olive trees throughout your territory but not anoint yourself with the oil, since your olivetrees wil be cut down.	40 Imat ćeš masline po svemu svome području, ali se uljem nećeš mazati jer će ti masline opadati.
41 You wil father sons and daughters but they will not belong to you, since they wil go into captivity.	41 Sinove ćeš i kćeri rađati, ali tvoji neće biti jer će u sužanjstvo odlaziti.
42 Al your trees and the whole yield of your soil will be the prey of insects.	42 Sva tvoja stabla i rod sa zemlje tvoje postat će plijenom kukaca.
43 'The foreigners living with you wil rise higher and higher at your expense, while you yourself sinklower and lower.	43 Došljak koji bude u sredini tvojoj uzdizat će se nada te, a ti ćeš padati sve niže i niže.
44 You wil be subject to them, not they to you; they wil be the ones at the head, and you the one at thetail.	44 On će uzaimati tebi, a ne ti njemu; on će biti glava, a ti rep.
45 'Al these curses wil befal you, pursue you and overtake you until you have been destroyed, for nothaving obeyed the voice of Yahweh your God by keeping his commandments and laws which he has laid downfor you.	45 Sva će te ova prokletstva snalaziti, progoniti i doseći dok te ne unište, jer nisi slušao glasa Jahve, Boga svoga, ni držao zapovijedi njegovih i zakona njegovih koje ti je dao.
46 They wil be a sign and a wonder over you and your descendants for ever.	46 Ona će služiti za čudesni znak na tebi i tvome potomstvu zauvijek.
47 'For not having joyful y and with happy heart served Yahweh your God, despite the abundance ofeverything,	47 Budući da nisi htio služiti Jahvi, Bogu svome, vesela i radosna srca zbog obilja svega,
48 you will have to serve the enemy whom Yahweh wil send against you, in hunger, thirst, lack ofclothing and total privation. He will put an iron yoke on your neck, until he has destroyed you.	48 služit ćeš neprijatelju svome, koga će Jahve poslati na te, u gladu i žeđi, golotinji i oskudici svakoj. Na tvoju će šiju navaljivati jaram od gvožđa dok te ne satre.
49 'Against you Yahweh wil raise a distant nation from the ends of the earth like an eagle taking wing: anation whose language you do not understand,	49 Jahve će iz daljine, s kraja zemlje, dovesti na te narod koji će sletjeti kao orao. Bit će to narod kojemu jezika nećeš razumjeti;
50 a nation grim of face, with neither respect for the old, nor pity for the young.	50 narod bezdušan, koji neće pokazivati obzira prema starima ni smilovanja prema mladima.
51 He wil eat the yield of your cattle and the yield of your soil until you have been destroyed; he willleave you neither wheat, nor wine, nor oil, nor the young of your cattle, nor increase of your flock, until he hasmade an end of you.	51 On će ti jesti mlado od tvoga blaga i rod tvoje njive dok te ne uništi; neće ti ostavljati ni žita, ni vina, ni ulja, ni mlado od krave, ni priraštaj od stada, sve dok te ne upropasti.
52 He wil besiege you inside al your towns until your loftiest and most strongly fortified walls collapse,on which, throughout your country, you have relied. He wil besiege you inside al the towns throughout yourcountry, given you by Yahweh your God.	52 Opsjedat će te u svim tvojim gradovima širom zemlje tvoje dok ne obori visoke i utvrđene bedeme u koje si polagao nadu svoju; opsjednut će te u svim gradovima tvojim širom zemlje tvoje koju ti dadne Jahve, Bog tvoj.
53 During the siege and in the distress to which your enemy wil reduce you, you wil eat the offspring ofyour own body, the flesh of the sons and daughters given you by Yahweh your God.	53 U tjeskobi i jadu, kojima će te neprijatelj tvoj pritisnuti, jest ćeš plod utrobe svoje – meso sinova svojih i kćeri svojih koje ti dadne Jahve, Bog tvoj.
54 The gentlest and tenderest of your men wil scowl at his brother, and at the wife whom he embraces,and at his remaining children,	54 Čovjek najnježniji i najmekši u tebe zlobnim će okom gledati na vlastitog brata, ženu u svome naručju i djecu svoju što mu preostanu,
55 not wil ing to give any of them any of his own children's flesh, which he is eating; because of thesiege and the distress to which your enemy wil reduce you in all your towns, he wil have nothing left.	55 ne hoteći ni s jednim od njih dijeliti mesa sinova svojih koje bude jeo, jer zbog tjeskobe i jada, kojima će te neprijatelj tvoj pritiskati po svim gradovima tvojim, drugo mu neće preostajati.
56 The most refined and fastidious of your women, so refined, so fastidious that she has never venturedto set the sole of her foot to the ground, wil scowl at the husband whom she embraces, and at her son anddaughter, and at the after-birth when it leaves her womb, and at the child to which she has given birth-	56 I žena najnježnija i najmekša što bude u tebe – toliko nježna i tankoćutna da se ne usuđuje spustiti stopala na zemlju – zlobnim će okom gledati na muža u svome naručju, i na sina svoga, i na kćer svoju,
57 she will hide away and eat them, so complete wil be the starvation resulting from the siege and thedistress to which your enemy wil reduce you in all your towns.	57 i na posteljicu svoju što joj iziđe između nogu, i na djecu što ih ima roditi, jer će ih potajno jesti, oskudna u svemu, zbog nevolje i jada kojim će te neprijatelj tvoj pritisnuti po svim gradovima tvojim.
58 'If you do not keep and observe al the words of this Law, which are written in this book, in the fear ofthis glorious and awe-inspiring name: Yahweh your God,	58 Ako ne budeš držao i vršio riječi ovoga Zakona što su napisane u ovoj knjizi, ne poštujući ovo slavno i strašno Ime – Jahvu, Boga svoga –
59 Yahweh wil strike you down with monstrous plagues, you and your descendants: with plaguesgrievous and lasting, diseases pernicious and enduring.	59 Jahve će tebe i tvoje potomstvo teško ošinuti velikim i dugotrajnim bičevima, pogubnim i dugim bolestima.
60 He wil afflict you with al the maladies of Egypt which you used to dread, and they wil fasten on you.	60 Pustit će na te sva zla egipatska kojih si se plašio, i ona će se prilijepiti za te.
61 What is more, Yahweh wil afflict you with all the plagues and all the diseases not mentioned in thebook of this Law, until you have been destroyed.	61 A i svaku drugu bolest i bič, koji nije naveden u knjizi ovoga Zakona, Jahve će na te puštati dok te ne uništi.
62 There will only be a smal group of you left, you who were once as numerous as the stars of heaven.'For not having obeyed the voice of Yahweh your God,	62 Ostat će vas samo malo, vas što brojni bijaste kao zvijezde nebeske, a sve zato što nisi slušao glasa Jahve, Boga svoga.
63 just as Yahweh used to delight in making you happy and in making your numbers grow, so wil hetake delight in ruining you and destroying you. You wil be torn from the country which you are about to enter andmake your own.	63 Kako se Jahve nad vama radovao usrećujući vas i množeći, tako će se Jahve radovati nad vama rušeći vas i uništavajući da se iskorijenite sa zemlje u koju idete da je zaposjednete.
64 Yahweh wil scatter you throughout every people, from one end of the earth to the other; there youwil serve other gods made of wood and stone, hitherto unknown either to you or to your ancestors.	64 Jahve će vas razbacati po svim narodima, s kraja na kraj zemlje; ondje ćeš iskazivati štovanje drugim bogovima: drvenim i kamenim – koji su bili nepoznati i tebi i tvojim ocima.
65 Among these nations there wil be no repose for you, no rest for the sole of your foot; there Yahwehwil give you a quaking heart, weary eyes, halting breath.	65 Ali među tim narodima nećeš imati mira; ni tvome stopalu neće biti počivališta, nego će ti ondje Jahve dati srce uznemireno, oči utonule, dušu tjeskobnu.
66 Your life ahead of you wil hang in doubt; you wil be afraid day and night, uncertain of your life.	66 Život tvoj visjet će o niti; bojat ćeš se i danju i noću i nećeš biti siguran za život svoj.
67 In the morning you wil say, "How I wish it were evening!", and in the evening you will say, "How I wish it were morning!", such terror will grip your heart and such sights you wil see!	67 U strahu koji će ti stezati srce i od prizora što će ga oči tvoje gledati, jutrom ćeš govoriti: ‘Oh, da je već večer!’ a navečer ćeš govoriti: ‘Oh, da je već jutro!’
68 Yahweh wil send you back to Egypt, either by ship or by a road which I promised you would neversee again. And there you wil want to offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as serving men and women, butno one wil buy you.'	68 U Egipat će te na galijama natrag odvesti Jahve putem za koji sam ti rekao da ga više ne smiješ vidjeti. Ondje ćete se vi sami prodavati svojim neprijateljima za robove i ropkinje, ali neće biti kupca.«
69 These are the words of the covenant which Yahweh ordered Moses to make with the Israelites inMoab, in addition to the covenant which he had made with them at Horeb.	69 To su riječi Saveza što ga propisa Jahve Mojsiju da ga sklopi s Izraelcima u zemlji moapskoj, povrh Saveza što ga je s njima sklopio na Horebu.
