Luke 8

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Now it happened that after this he made his way through towns and villages preaching and proclaimingthe good news of the kingdom of God. With him went the Twelve,	1 وعلى اثر ذلك كان يسير في مدينة وقرية يكرز ويبشر بملكوت الله ومعه الاثنا عشر
2 as wel as certain women who had been cured of evil spirits and ailments: Mary surnamed theMagdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,	2 وبعض النساء كنّ قد شفين من ارواح شريرة وامراض. مريم التي تدعى المجدلية التي خرج منها سبعة شياطين
3 Joanna the wife of Herod's steward Chuza, Susanna, and many others who provided for them out oftheir own resources.	3 ويونّا امرأة خوزي وكيل هيرودس وسوسنة وأخر كثيرات كنّ يخدمنه من اموالهنّ
4 With a large crowd gathering and people from every town finding their way to him, he told this parable:	4 فلما اجتمع جمع كثير ايضا من الذين جاءوا اليه من كل مدينة قال بمثل
5 'A sower went out to sow his seed. Now as he sowed, some fel on the edge of the path and wastrampled on; and the birds of the air ate it up.	5 خرج الزارع ليزرع زرعه. وفيما هو يزرع سقط بعض على الطريق فانداس واكلته طيور السماء.
6 Some seed fell on rock, and when it came up it withered away, having no moisture.	6 وسقط آخر على الصخر فلما نبت جف لانه لم تكن له رطوبة.
7 Some seed fell in the middle of thorns and the thorns grew with it and choked it.	7 وسقط آخر في وسط الشوك. فنبت معه الشوك وخنقه.
8 And some seed fell into good soil and grew and produced its crop a hundredfold.' Saying this he cried,'Anyone who has ears for listening should listen!'	8 وسقط آخر في الارض الصالحة فلما نبت صنع ثمرا مئة ضعف. قال هذا ونادى من له اذنان للسمع فليسمع
9 His disciples asked him what this parable might mean,	9 فسأله تلاميذه قائلين ما عسى ان يكون هذا المثل.
10 and he said, 'To you is granted to understand the secrets of the kingdom of God; for the rest it remainsin parables, so that they may look but not perceive, listen but not understand.	10 فقال. لكم قد أعطي ان تعرفوا اسرار ملكوت الله. واما للباقين فبامثال حتى انهم مبصرين لا يبصرون وسامعين لا يفهمون.
11 'This, then, is what the parable means: the seed is the word of God.	11 وهذا هو المثل. الزرع هو كلام الله.
12 Those on the edge of the path are people who have heard it, and then the devil comes and carriesaway the word from their hearts in case they should believe and be saved.	12 والذين على الطريق هم الذين يسمعون ثم يأتي ابليس وينزع الكلمة من قلوبهم لئلا يؤمنوا فيخلصوا.
13 Those on the rock are people who, when they first hear it, welcome the word with joy. But these haveno root; they believe for a while, and in time of trial they give up.	13 والذين على الصخر هم الذين متى سمعوا يقبلون الكلمة بفرح. وهؤلاء ليس لهم اصل فيؤمنون الى حين وفي وقت التجربة يرتدون.
14 As for the part that fell into thorns, this is people who have heard, but as they go on their way they arechoked by the worries and riches and pleasures of life and never produce any crops.	14 والذي سقط بين الشوك هم الذين يسمعون ثم يذهبون فيختنقون من هموم الحياة وغناها ولذّاتها ولا ينضجون ثمرا.
15 As for the part in the rich soil, this is people with a noble and generous heart who have heard the wordand take it to themselves and yield a harvest through their perseverance.	15 والذي في الارض الجيدة هو الذين يسمعون الكلمة فيحفظونها في قلب جيد صالح ويثمرون بالصبر
16 'No one lights a lamp to cover it with a bowl or to put it under a bed. No, it is put on a lamp-stand sothat people may see the light when they come in.	16 وليس احد يوقد سراجا ويغطيه باناء او يضعه تحت سرير بل يضعه على منارة لينظر الداخلون النور.
17 For nothing is hidden but it will be made clear, nothing secret but it will be made known and brought tolight.	17 لانه ليس خفي لا يظهر ولا مكتوم لا يعلم ويعلن.
18 So take care how you listen; anyone who has, wil be given more; anyone who has not, wil bedeprived even of what he thinks he has.'	18 فانظروا كيف تسمعون. لان من له سيعطى. ومن ليس له فالذي يظنه له يؤخذ منه
19 His mother and his brothers came looking for him, but they could not get to him because of the crowd.	19 وجاء اليه امه واخوته. ولم يقدروا ان يصلوا اليه لسبب الجمع.
20 He was told, 'Your mother and brothers are standing outside and want to see you.'	20 فاخبروه قائلين امك واخوتك واقفون خارجا يريدون ان يروك.
21 But he said in answer, 'My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and put it intopractice.'	21 فاجاب وقال لهم امي واخوتي هم الذين يسمعون كلمة الله ويعملون بها
22 It happened that one day he got into a boat with his disciples and said to them, 'Let us cross over tothe other side of the lake.' So they set out,	22 وفي احد الايام دخل سفينة هو وتلاميذه. فقال لهم لنعبر الى عبر البحيرة. فاقلعوا.
23 and as they sailed he fel asleep. When a squall of wind came down on the lake the boat startedshipping water and they found themselves in danger.	23 وفيما هم سائرون نام. فنزل نوء ريح في البحيرة. وكانوا يمتلئون ماء وصاروا في خطر.
24 So they went to rouse him saying, 'Master! Master! We are lost!' Then he woke up and rebuked thewind and the rough water; and they subsided and it was calm again.	24 فتقدموا وايقظوه قائلين يا معلّم يا معلّم اننا نهلك. فقام وانتهر الريح وتموّج الماء فانتهيا وصار هدوء.
25 He said to them, 'Where is your faith?' They were awestruck and astounded and said to one another,'Who can this be, that gives orders even to winds and waves and they obey him?'	25 ثم قال لهم اين ايمانكم. فخافوا وتعجبوا قائلين فيما بينهم من هو هذا. فانه يأمر الرياح ايضا والماء فتطيعه
26 They came to land in the territory of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee.	26 وساروا الى كورة الجدريين التي هي مقابل الجليل.
27 He was stepping ashore when a man from the city who was possessed by devils came towards him;for a long time the man had been living with no clothes on, not in a house, but in the tombs.	27 ولما خرج الى الارض استقبله رجل من المدينة كان فيه شياطين منذ زمان طويل وكان لا يلبس ثوبا ولا يقيم في بيت بل في القبور.
28 Catching sight of Jesus he gave a shout, fel at his feet and cried out at the top of his voice, 'What doyou want with me, Jesus, son of the Most High God? I implore you, do not torture me.'	28 فلما رأى يسوع صرخ وخرّ له وقال بصوت عظيم ما لي ولك يا يسوع ابن الله العلي. اطلب منك ان لا تعذبني.
29 For Jesus had been tel ing the unclean spirit to come out of the man. It had seized on him a greatmany times, and then they used to secure him with chains and fetters to restrain him, but he would always breakthe fastenings, and the devil would drive him out into the wilds.	29 لانه امر الروح النجس ان يخرج من الانسان. لانه منذ زمان كثير كان يخطفه. وقد ربط بسلاسل وقيود محروسا. وكان يقطع الربط ويساق من الشيطان الى البراري.
30 Jesus asked him, 'What is your name?' He said, 'Legion' -- because many devils had gone into him.	30 فسأله يسوع قائلا ما اسمك. فقال لجئون. لان شياطين كثيرة دخلت فيه.
31 And these begged him not to order them to depart into the Abyss.	31 وطلب اليه ان لا يأمرهم بالذهاب الى الهاوية.
32 Now there was a large herd of pigs feeding there on the mountain, and the devils begged him to letthem go into these. So he gave them leave.	32 وكان هناك قطيع خنازير كثيرة ترعى في الجبل. فطلبوا اليه ان يأذن لهم بالدخول فيها. فأذن لهم.
33 The devils came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd charged down the cliff into thelake and was drowned.	33 فخرجت الشياطين من الانسان ودخلت في الخنازير. فاندفع القطيع من على الجرف الى البحيرة واختنق.
34 When the swineherds saw what had happened they ran off and told their story in the city and in thecountry round about;	34 فلما رأى الرعاة ما كان هربوا وذهبوا واخبروا في المدينة وفي الضياع.
35 and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus they found the manfrom whom the devils had gone out sitting at the feet of Jesus, wearing clothes and in his right mind; and theywere afraid.	35 فخرجوا ليروا ما جرى. وجاءوا الى يسوع فوجدوا الانسان الذي كانت الشياطين قد خرجت منه لابسا وعاقلا جالسا عند قدمي يسوع فخافوا.
36 Those who had witnessed it told them how the man who had been possessed came to be saved.	36 فاخبرهم ايضا الذين رأوا كيف خلص المجنون.
37 The entire population of the Gerasene territory was in great fear and asked Jesus to leave them. So hegot into the boat and went back.	37 فطلب اليه كل جمهور كورة الجدريين ان يذهب عنهم. لانه اعتراهم خوف عظيم. فدخل السفينة ورجع.
38 The man from whom the devils had gone out asked to be al owed to stay with him, but he sent himaway saying,	38 اما الرجل الذي خرجت منه الشياطين فطلب اليه ان يكون معه ولكن يسوع صرفه قائلا
39 'Go back home and report al that God has done for you.' So the man went off and proclaimedthroughout the city al that Jesus had done for him.	39 ارجع الى بيتك وحدث بكم صنع الله بك. فمضى وهو ينادي في المدينة كلها بكم صنع به يسوع
40 On his return Jesus was welcomed by the crowd, for they were al there waiting for him.	40 ولما رجع يسوع قبله الجمع لانهم كانوا جميعهم ينتظرونه.
41 And suddenly there came a man named Jairus, who was president of the synagogue. He fel at Jesus'feet and pleaded with him to come to his house,	41 واذا رجل اسمه يايروس قد جاء. وكان رئيس المجمع. فوقع عند قدمي يسوع وطلب اليه ان يدخل بيته.
42 because he had an only daughter about twelve years old, who was dying. And the crowds were almoststifling Jesus as he went.	42 لانه كان له بنت وحيدة لها نحو اثنتي عشرة سنة وكانت في حال الموت. ففيما هو منطلق زحمته الجموع
43 Now there was a woman suffering from a haemorrhage for the past twelve years, whom no one hadbeen able to cure.	43 وامرأة بنزف دم منذ اثنتي عشرة سنة وقد انفقت كل معيشتها للاطباء ولم تقدر ان تشفى من احد
44 She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak; and the haemorrhage stopped at thatvery moment.	44 جاءت من ورائه ولمست هدب ثوبه. ففي الحال وقف نزف دمها.
45 Jesus said, 'Who was it that touched me?' When they al denied it, Peter said, 'Master, it is the crowdsround you, pushing.'	45 فقال يسوع من الذي لمسني. واذ كان الجميع ينكرون قال بطرس والذين معه يا معلّم الجموع يضيّقون عليك ويزحمونك وتقول من الذي لمسني.
46 But Jesus said, 'Somebody touched me. I felt that power had gone out from me.'	46 فقال يسوع قد لمسني واحد لاني علمت ان قوة قد خرجت مني.
47 Seeing herself discovered, the woman came forward trembling, and fal ing at his feet explained in frontof al the people why she had touched him and how she had been cured at that very moment.	47 فلما رأت المرأة انها لم تختف جاءت مرتعدة وخرّت له واخبرته قدام جميع الشعب لاي سبب لمسته وكيف برئت في الحال.
48 'My daughter,' he said, 'your faith has saved you; go in peace.'	48 فقال لها ثقي يا ابنة. ايمانك قد شفاك. اذهبي بسلام
49 While he was stil speaking, someone arrived from the house of the president of the synagogue to say,'Your daughter has died. Do not trouble the Master any further.'	49 وبينما هو يتكلم جاء واحد من دار رئيس المجمع قائلا له قد ماتت ابنتك. لا تتعب المعلّم.
50 But Jesus heard this, and he spoke to the man, 'Do not be afraid, only have faith and she wil besaved.'	50 فسمع يسوع واجابه قائلا لا تخف. آمن فقط فهي تشفى.
51 When he came to the house he al owed no one to go in with him except Peter and John and James,and the child's father and mother.	51 فلما جاء الى البيت لم يدع احدا يدخل الا بطرس ويعقوب ويوحنا وابا الصبيه وامها.
52 They were all crying and mourning for her, but Jesus said, 'Stop crying; she is not dead, but asleep.'	52 وكان الجميع يبكون عليها ويلطمون. فقال لا تبكوا. لم تمت لكنها نائمة.
53 But they ridiculed him, knowing she was dead.	53 فضحكوا عليه عارفين انها ماتت.
54 But taking her by the hand himself he spoke to her, 'Child, get up.'	54 فاخرج الجمع خارجا وامسك بيدها ونادى قائلا يا صبية قومي.
55 And her spirit returned and she got up at that very moment. Then he told them to give her something toeat.	55 فرجعت روحها وقامت في الحال. فامر ان تعطى لتاكل.
56 Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tel anyone what had happened.	56 فبهت والداها. فاوصاهما ان لا يقولا لاحد عما كان
