Luke 8

1 Now it happened that after this he made his way through towns and villages preaching and proclaimingthe good news of the kingdom of God. 2 as wel as certain women who had been cured of evil spirits and ailments: Mary surnamed theMagdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,	2 és néhány asszony, akiket meggyógyított a gonosz lelkektől és a betegségekből: Mária, akit Magdolnának hívnak, akiből hét ördög ment ki,

4 With a large crowd gathering and people from every town finding their way to him, he told this parable:	4 Mikor pedig nagy tömeg gyűlt egybe, és a városokból özönlöttek hozzá, a következő példabeszédet mondta:
5 'A sower went out to sow his seed. Now as he sowed, some fel on the edge of the path and wastrampled on; and the birds of the air ate it up.	5 »Kiment a magvető magot vetni. Amint vetett, az egyik mag az útfélre esett. Ezt eltaposták, és az ég madarai felszedegették.
6 Some seed fell on rock, and when it came up it withered away, having no moisture.	6 A másik sziklára esett. Ez kikelt, de aztán elszáradt, mert nem volt nedvessége.
7 Some seed fell in the middle of thorns and the thorns grew with it and choked it.	7 A másik a tövisek közé esett. A tövisek is felnőttek vele, és elfojtották.
8 And some seed fell into good soil and grew and produced its crop a hundredfold.' Saying this he cried,'Anyone who has ears for listening should listen!'	8 De egy másik a jó földbe esett. 9 His disciples asked him what this parable might mean,	9 Tanítványai megkérdezték őt, hogy mit jelent ez a példabeszéd.
10 and he said, 'To you is granted to understand the secrets of the kingdom of God; for the rest it remainsin parables, so that they may look but not perceive, listen but not understand.	10 Ő ezt mondta nekik: »Nektek adatott, hogy megismerjétek Isten országának titkait, másoknak csak példabeszédekben, hogy nézvén ne lássanak, és hallván ne értsenek .
11 'This, then, is what the parable means: the seed is the word of God.	11 Ez tehát a példabeszéd: A mag Isten igéje.
12 Those on the edge of the path are people who have heard it, and then the devil comes and carriesaway the word from their hearts in case they should believe and be saved.	12 Az útfélre hullott magok azok, akik hallgatják, de azután eljön az ördög, és kiveszi az igét szívükből, nehogy higgyenek és üdvözüljenek.
13 Those on the rock are people who, when they first hear it, welcome the word with joy. But these haveno root; they believe for a while, and in time of trial they give up.	13 A kősziklára hullott magok azok, akik, amikor hallják, örömmel fogadják az igét, de nincs gyökerük; egy ideig hisznek, a kísértés idején azonban elpártolnak.
14 As for the part that fell into thorns, this is people who have heard, but as they go on their way they arechoked by the worries and riches and pleasures of life and never produce any crops.	14 A tövisek közé hullott magok azok, akik hallgatják, de az élet gondjai, gazdagsága és gyönyörűségei később elfojtják bennük az igét, és gyümölcsöt nem teremnek.
15 As for the part in the rich soil, this is people with a noble and generous heart who have heard the wordand take it to themselves and yield a harvest through their perseverance.	15 Amelyik pedig jó földbe esett, azokat jelenti, akik tiszta és jó szívvel hallgatják az igét, megtartják, és gyümölcsöt hoznak állhatatosan.
16 'No one lights a lamp to cover it with a bowl or to put it under a bed. No, it is put on a lamp-stand sothat people may see the light when they come in.	16 Senki, aki lámpát gyújt, nem borítja azt le egy edénnyel, sem ágy alá nem rejti, hanem a tartóra teszi, hogy akik bemennek, lássák a világosságot.
17 For nothing is hidden but it will be made clear, nothing secret but it will be made known and brought tolight.	17 Mert semmi nincs elrejtve, ami nyilvánosságra ne jutna, sem eltitkolva, ami ki ne tudódnék és napfényre ne kerülne.
18 So take care how you listen; anyone who has, wil be given more; anyone who has not, wil bedeprived even of what he thinks he has.'	18 Figyeljetek tehát, hogyan hallgatjátok! Mert akinek van, annak még adnak; akinek pedig nincsen, attól még azt is elveszik, amiről azt gondolja, hogy az övé.«
19 His mother and his brothers came looking for him, but they could not get to him because of the crowd.	19 Odajöttek hozzá az anyja és testvérei, de nem juthattak hozzá a sokaság miatt.
20 He was told, 'Your mother and brothers are standing outside and want to see you.'	20 Szóltak neki: »Anyád és testvéreid kinn állnak, látni akarnak téged.«
21 But he said in answer, 'My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and put it intopractice.'	21 Ő azonban ezt felelte nekik: »Azok az én anyám és testvéreim, akik Isten igéjét hallgatják és megcselekszik.«
22 It happened that one day he got into a boat with his disciples and said to them, 'Let us cross over tothe other side of the lake.' So they set out,	22 Történt pedig egy napon, hogy beszállt egy bárkába tanítványaival együtt, és azt mondta nekik: »Keljünk át a tó túlsó partjára!« Elindultak.
23 and as they sailed he fel asleep. When a squall of wind came down on the lake the boat startedshipping water and they found themselves in danger.	23 Amíg hajóztak, ő elaludt. Közben heves szélvész támadt a tavon, úgyhogy már-már elmerültek és veszélyben voltak.
24 So they went to rouse him saying, 'Master! Master! We are lost!' Then he woke up and rebuked thewind and the rough water; and they subsided and it was calm again.	24 Ekkor odamentek hozzá és felébresztették: »Mester, Mester! Elveszünk!« Ő pedig felkelt, parancsolt a szélnek és a víz hullámainak, mire azok megszűntek és lecsendesedtek.
25 He said to them, 'Where is your faith?' They were awestruck and astounded and said to one another,'Who can this be, that gives orders even to winds and waves and they obey him?'	25 Aztán így szólt hozzájuk: »Hol van a ti hitetek?« Azok pedig félelemmel eltelve csodálkoztak, és ezt mondogatták egymásnak: »Ki ez, hogy még a szélnek és tengernek is parancsol, és azok engedelmeskednek neki?«
26 They came to land in the territory of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee.	26 Azután kikötöttek a gerázaiak földjén, amely Galileával átellenben van.
27 He was stepping ashore when a man from the city who was possessed by devils came towards him;for a long time the man had been living with no clothes on, not in a house, but in the tombs.	27 Amint kilépett a partra, egy férfi jött eléje a városból, akiben ördögök voltak, és már régóta nem vett magára ruhát, sem házban nem lakott, hanem a sírboltokban.
28 Catching sight of Jesus he gave a shout, fel at his feet and cried out at the top of his voice, 'What doyou want with me, Jesus, son of the Most High God? I implore you, do not torture me.'	28 Amikor meglátta Jézust, leborult előtte, és hangosan fölkiáltott: »Mi közöm hozzád, Jézus, a magasságbeli Isten Fia? Kérlek, ne gyötörj engem!«
29 For Jesus had been tel ing the unclean spirit to come out of the man. It had seized on him a greatmany times, and then they used to secure him with chains and fetters to restrain him, but he would always breakthe fastenings, and the devil would drive him out into the wilds.	29 Mert parancsolt a tisztátalan léleknek, hogy menjen ki az emberből. Ugyanis már jó ideje hatalmába kerítette, láncokkal volt megkötözve, és bilincsekben őrizték, de elszaggatta a kötelékeket, s az ördög a pusztába űzte.
30 Jesus asked him, 'What is your name?' He said, 'Legion' -- because many devils had gone into him.	30 Jézus ekkor megkérdezte: »Mi a neved?« Azt felelte: »Légió«, mert sok ördög szállta meg.
31 And these begged him not to order them to depart into the Abyss.	31 Arra kérték, ne azt parancsolja, hogy a mélységbe menjenek.
32 Now there was a large herd of pigs feeding there on the mountain, and the devils begged him to letthem go into these. So he gave them leave.	32 Volt ott egy nagy disznócsorda, a hegyen legelészett. Kérték őt, engedje meg, hogy azokba menjenek. Megengedte nekik.
33 The devils came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd charged down the cliff into thelake and was drowned.	33 Az ördögök erre kimentek, megszállták a disznókat, mire a csorda lerohant a meredeken a tóba, és belefúlt.
34 When the swineherds saw what had happened they ran off and told their story in the city and in thecountry round about;	34 A kondások, látva, hogy mi történt, elfutottak, és hírül vitték ezt a városba és a falvakba.
35 and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus they found the manfrom whom the devils had gone out sitting at the feet of Jesus, wearing clothes and in his right mind; and theywere afraid.	35 Az emberek kimentek, hogy lássák a történteket. Amikor Jézushoz értek, ott találták azt az embert, akit az ördögök elhagytak, felöltözve és ép ésszel, amint ott ült Jézus lábainál, és félelem fogta el őket.
36 Those who had witnessed it told them how the man who had been possessed came to be saved.	36 Azok pedig, akik látták, elbeszélték nekik, hogyan szabadult meg az, akit az ördög zaklatott.
37 The entire population of the Gerasene territory was in great fear and asked Jesus to leave them. So hegot into the boat and went back.	37 Ekkor a gerázaiak földjének egész lakossága arra kérte őt, hogy távozzék el tőlük; mert nagy félelem vett erőt rajtuk. Ő pedig bárkába szállt és visszatért.
38 The man from whom the devils had gone out asked to be al owed to stay with him, but he sent himaway saying,	38 Az a férfi pedig, akiből kimentek az ördögök, megkérte, hogy vele lehessen. De Jézus elküldte őt ezekkel a szavakkal:
39 'Go back home and report al that God has done for you.' So the man went off and proclaimedthroughout the city al that Jesus had done for him.	39 »Térj csak vissza házadba, és beszéld el, milyen nagy dolgot cselekedett veled az Isten.« Az be is járta az egész várost, és hirdette, milyen nagy dolgot cselekedett vele Jézus.
40 On his return Jesus was welcomed by the crowd, for they were al there waiting for him.	40 Amikor Jézus visszatért, tömeg fogadta őt, mert mindnyájan vártak rá.
41 And suddenly there came a man named Jairus, who was president of the synagogue. He fel at Jesus'feet and pleaded with him to come to his house,	41 És íme, jött egy Jairus nevű férfi, aki a zsinagóga elöljárója volt, és Jézus lábaihoz borulva kérte őt, hogy jöjjön a házába,
42 because he had an only daughter about twelve years old, who was dying. And the crowds were almoststifling Jesus as he went.	42 mert egyetlen lánya, aki mintegy tizenkét esztendős volt, haldoklik. Amíg ment, majdnem agyon-nyomta őt a tömeg.
43 Now there was a woman suffering from a haemorrhage for the past twelve years, whom no one hadbeen able to cure.	43 Közben egy asszony, aki tizenkét esztendeje vérfolyásban szenvedett, és az orvosokra költötte minden vagyonát, de egyik sem tudta meggyógyítani,
44 She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak; and the haemorrhage stopped at thatvery moment.	44 odament hozzá hátulról, és megérintette a ruhája szegélyét. Rögtön megállt a vérfolyása.
45 Jesus said, 'Who was it that touched me?' When they al denied it, Peter said, 'Master, it is the crowdsround you, pushing.'	45 Jézus így szólt: »Ki érintett meg engem?« Amikor mindnyájan tagadták, Péter így szólt: »Mester! A tömeg szorongat és lökdös téged.«
46 But Jesus said, 'Somebody touched me. I felt that power had gone out from me.'	46 Jézus ezt felelte: »Valaki megérintett, mert éreztem, hogy erő ment ki belőlem.«
47 Seeing herself discovered, the woman came forward trembling, and fal ing at his feet explained in frontof al the people why she had touched him and how she had been cured at that very moment.	47 Ekkor az asszony látta, hogy nem maradt titokban. Remegve jött elő, a lábai elé borult, és bevallotta az egész nép előtt, hogy miért érintette meg őt, és hogy hogyan gyógyult meg azonnal.
48 'My daughter,' he said, 'your faith has saved you; go in peace.'	48 Ő erre azt mondta neki: »Leányom! A hited meggyógyított téged! Menj békével!«
49 While he was stil speaking, someone arrived from the house of the president of the synagogue to say,'Your daughter has died. Do not trouble the Master any further.'	49 Még beszélt, amikor odajött valaki a zsinagóga vezetőjének házából, és azt mondta: »A lányod meghalt, ne fáraszd tovább a Mestert!«
50 But Jesus heard this, and he spoke to the man, 'Do not be afraid, only have faith and she wil besaved.'	50 Jézus azonban, amikor meghallotta ezt, így szólt hozzá: »Ne félj, csak higgy, és megmenekül!«
51 When he came to the house he al owed no one to go in with him except Peter and John and James,and the child's father and mother.	51 Mikor pedig a házba érkezett, senki másnak nem engedte meg, hogy bemenjen vele, csak Péternek, Jakabnak és Jánosnak, és a lány apjának és anyjának.
52 They were all crying and mourning for her, but Jesus said, 'Stop crying; she is not dead, but asleep.'	52 Mindnyájan sírtak és jajgattak a leány miatt. Ő így szólt hozzájuk: »Ne sírjatok! Nem halt meg a leány, csak alszik.«
53 But they ridiculed him, knowing she was dead.	53 Azok kinevették, mert tudták, hogy meghalt.
54 But taking her by the hand himself he spoke to her, 'Child, get up.'	54 De ő megfogta a lány kezét, és hangosan felkiáltott: »Kislány, kelj föl!«
55 And her spirit returned and she got up at that very moment. Then he told them to give her something toeat.	55 Erre visszatért a lány lelke, és rögtön fölkelt. Ekkor szólt, hogy adjanak neki enni.
56 Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tel anyone what had happened.	56 A szülei nagyon elcsodálkoztak; ő pedig megparancsolta nekik, hogy senkinek se mondják el, ami történt.
