Matthew 28

1 After the Sabbath, and towards dawn on the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Marywent to visit the sepulchre.	1 A szombat befejeztével, abban az órában, amely a hét első napjára virrad, Mária Magdolna és a másik Mária elment megnézni a sírt.
2 And suddenly there was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, cameand rol ed away the stone and sat on it.	2 És íme, nagy földrengés támadt: az Úr angyala leszállt az égből, odament, elhengerítette a követ és ráült.
3 His face was like lightning, his robe white as snow.	3 Olyan volt a megjelenése, mint a villám, és a ruhája fehér volt, mint a hó.
4 The guards were so shaken by fear of him that they were like dead men.	4 Az őrök megrettentek tőle való félelmükben, és mint a holtak, olyanok lettek.
5 But the angel spoke; and he said to the women, 'There is no need for you to be afraid. I know you arelooking for Jesus, who was crucified.	5 Az angyal megszólalt és azt mondta az asszonyoknak: »Ti ne féljetek! Hiszen tudom, hogy Jézust, a megfeszítettet keresitek.
6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said he would. Come and see the place where he lay,	6 Nincs itt, mert feltámadt, amint megmondta. Jöjjetek, nézzétek meg a helyet, ahol feküdt.
7 then go quickly and tel his disciples, "He has risen from the dead and now he is going ahead of you toGalilee; that is where you wil see him." Look! I have told you.'	7 Menjetek gyorsan, mondjátok meg tanítványainak: ‘Föltámadt a halálból, és előttetek megy Galileába. Ott majd meglátjátok őt! Íme, megmondtam nektek!’«
8 Fil ed with awe and great joy the women came quickly away from the tomb and ran to tel his disciples.	8 Rögtön el is mentek a sírtól. Nagy félelemmel és örömmel futottak, hogy megvigyék a hírt tanítványainak.
9 And suddenly, coming to meet them, was Jesus. 'Greetings,' he said. And the women came up to himand, clasping his feet, they did him homage.	9 Ekkor íme, Jézus jött velük szemben és így szólt: »Üdv nektek!« Ők pedig odamentek hozzá, átkarolták a lábát és leborultak előtte.
10 Then Jesus said to them, 'Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers that they must leave for Galilee;there they wil see me.'	10 Akkor Jézus azt mondta nekik: »Ne féljetek! Menjetek, vigyétek hírül a testvéreimnek, hogy menjenek el Galileába. Ott majd meglátnak engem.«
11 Now while they were on their way, some of the guards went off into the city to tell the chief priests althat had happened.	11 Amikor elmentek, az őrségből néhányan a városba mentek és hírül vittek a főpapoknak mindent, ami történt.
12 These held a meeting with the elders and, after some discussion, handed a considerable sum ofmoney to the soldiers	12 Erre azok összegyűltek a vénekkel, tanácsot tartottak, majd sok pénzt adtak a katonáknak,
13 with these instructions, 'This is what you must say, "His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep."	13 és azt mondták nekik: »Mondjátok azt: ‘A tanítványai éjjel eljöttek és ellopták őt, amíg mi aludtunk.’
14 And should the governor come to hear of this, we undertake to put things right with him ourselvesand to see that you do not get into trouble.'	14 Ha a helytartó meghallja ezt, mi majd meggyőzzük őt, és kimentünk titeket.«
15 So they took the money and carried out their instructions, and to this day that is the story among theJews.	15 Azok átvették a pénzt és úgy tettek, ahogy kioktatták őket. Ez a szóbeszéd el van terjedve a zsidóknál mind a mai napig.
16 Meanwhile the eleven disciples set out for Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had arranged tomeet them.	16 A tizenegy tanítvány pedig elment Galileába, arra a hegyre, ahova Jézus rendelte őket.
17 When they saw him they fell down before him, though some hesitated.	17 Amikor meglátták őt, leborultak, bár egyesek még kételkedtek.
18 Jesus came up and spoke to them. He said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given tome.	18 Jézus odament és azt mondta nekik: »Nekem adatott minden hatalom a mennyben és a földön.
19 Go, therefore, make disciples of al nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Sonand of the Holy Spirit,	19 Menjetek tehát, és tegyetek tanítvánnyá minden népet. Kereszteljétek meg őket az Atya és a Fiú és a Szentlélek nevében,
20 and teach them to observe al the commands I gave you. And look, I am with you always; yes, to theend of time.'	20 és tanítsátok meg őket arra, hogy megtartsák mindazt, amit parancsoltam nektek! És íme, én veletek vagyok minden nap a világ végéig!«
