Zechariah 3

NEW JERUSALEM	Peshitta
1 He then showed me the high priest Joshua, standing before the angel of Yahweh, with Satan standingon his right to accuse him.	1 ܘܚܘܝܢܝ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܟܗܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܟܕ ܩܐܡ ܩܕܡ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܣܛܢܐ ܩܐܡ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܝܡܝܢܗ ܕܢܟܝܘܗܝ
2 The angel of Yahweh said to Satan, 'May Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! May Yahweh rebuke you, sincehe has made Jerusalem his choice. Is not this man a brand snatched from the fire?'	2 ܘܐܡܪ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܣܛܢܐ ܣܛܢܐ ܢܓܥܘܪ ܒܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܢܓܥܘܪ ܒܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܓܒܗ̇ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܗܢܘ ܐܘܕܐ ܕܐܬܦܠܛ ܡܢ ܢܘܪܐ
3 Now Joshua was dressed in dirty clothes as he stood before the angel.	3 ܘܝܫܘܥ ܠܒܝܫ ܗܘܐ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܨ̈ܐܐ ܘܩܐܡ ܗܘܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
4 The latter then spoke as fol ows to those who were standing before him, 'Take off his dirty clothesanddress him in splendid robes	4 ܘܥܢܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܐܥܒܪܘ ܡܢܗ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܨ̈ܐܐ ܘܐܥܒܪܘ ܡܢܗ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܨ̈ܐܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܚܙܝ ܕܐܥܒܪܬ ܡܢܟ ܥܘܠܟ ܘܐܠܒܫܬܟ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܛܒ̈ܐ
5 and put a clean turban on his head.' So they put a clean turban on his head and dressed him in cleanclothes, while the angel of Yahweh stood byand said, 'You see, I have taken your guilt away.'	5 ܘܐܡܪ ܢܣܝܡܘܢ ܟܠܝܠܐ ܕܟܝܐ ܒܪܝܫܗ ܘܣܡܘ ܟܠܝܠܐ ܕܟܝܐ ܒܪܝܫܗ ܘܐܠܒܫܘܗܝ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܛܒ̈ܐ ܘܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܩܐܡ
6 The angel of Yahweh then made this declaration to Joshua,	6 ܘܐܣܗܕ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪ
7 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "If you walk in my ways and keep my ordinances, you shal govern myhouse, you shal watch over my courts, and I wil give you free access among those in attendance here.	7 ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ . ܐܢ ܒܐܘܪܚܝ ܬܐܙܠ ܘܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܝ ܬܛܪ ܐܢܬ ܬܕܘܢܝܘܗܝ ܠܒܝܬܝ ܘܬܛܪ ܕܪܬܝ ܘܐܬܠ ܠܟ ܕܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܒܝܢܬ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ
8 'So listen, High Priest Joshua, you and the colleagues over whom you preside -- for they are an omenof things to come -- for now I shal bring in my servant the Branch, and I shal remove this country's guilt in asingle day.	8 ܫܡܥ ܝܫܘܥ ܟܗܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܐܢܬ ܘܚܒܪ̈ܝܟ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܬܕܡܘܪܬܐ ܕܗܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܠܥܒܕܝ ܕܢܚܐ
9 For this is the stone which I have put before Joshua, a stone on which are seven eyes; and I myselfshall cut the inscription on it -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares."	9 ܡܛܠ ܕܗܐ ܟܐܦܐ ܕܝܗܒܬ ܩܕܡ ܝܫܘܥ ܥܠ ܟܐܦܐ ܚܕܐ ܫܒܥ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܢ ܗܐ ܦܬܚ ܐܢܐ ܬܪ̈ܥܝܗ̇ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܘܐܡܘܫ ܥܘܠܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܗ̇ܝ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ
10 On that day -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares -- invite each other to come under your vine and your figtree." '	10 ܒܗ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܬܩܪܘܢ ܐܢܫ ܠܚܒܪܗ ܬܚܝܬ ܓܦܬܐ ܘܬܚܝܬ ܬܬܐ
