Zechariah 3

1 He then showed me the high priest Joshua, standing before the angel of Yahweh, with Satan standingon his right to accuse him.	1 Il Signore mi fece vedere il sommo sacerdote Gesù, ritto davanti all'angelo del Signore, e Satana gli stava alla destra, per opporsi a lui.
2 The angel of Yahweh said to Satan, 'May Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! May Yahweh rebuke you, sincehe has made Jerusalem his choice. Is not this man a brand snatched from the fire?'	2 Ma il Signore disse a Satana: « Ti reprima il Signore, o Satana, ti reprima il Signore, Colui che ha eletta Gerusalemme; e questo non è forse un tizzone tolto al fuoco? »
3 Now Joshua was dressed in dirty clothes as he stood before the angel.	3 Or Gesù aveva delle misere vesti, mentre stava davanti all'angelo,
4 The latter then spoke as fol ows to those who were standing before him, 'Take off his dirty clothesanddress him in splendid robes	4 il quale disse agli assistenti: « Levategli quella misera veste ». E a lui disse: « Ecco io ti ho tolta la tua iniquità e ti ho rivestito di abito da festa ».
5 and put a clean turban on his head.' So they put a clean turban on his head and dressed him in cleanclothes, while the angel of Yahweh stood byand said, 'You see, I have taken your guilt away.'	5 E soggiunse: « Mettetegli in testa una candida tiara ». Gli misero sulla testa la candida tiara, e lo rivestirono, mentre l'angelo del Signore stava in piedi.
6 The angel of Yahweh then made this declaration to Joshua,	6 Poi l'angelo del Signore fece a Gesù questa dichiarazione:
7 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "If you walk in my ways and keep my ordinances, you shal govern myhouse, you shal watch over my courts, and I wil give you free access among those in attendance here.	7 « Queste cose dice il Signore degli eserciti: Se tu camminerai nelle mie vie, fedele alle mie cerimonie, sarai giudice della mia casa, custode del mio tempio, e ti darò come compagni di via alcuni di quelli che ora t'assistono.
8 'So listen, High Priest Joshua, you and the colleagues over whom you preside -- for they are an omenof things to come -- for now I shal bring in my servant the Branch, and I shal remove this country's guilt in asingle day.	8 Ascolta, o Gesù sommo sacerdote, tu e i tuoi colleghi che stanno teco, che sono uomini di presagio. Ecco che io farò venire il mio Servo, l'Oriente.
9 For this is the stone which I have put before Joshua, a stone on which are seven eyes; and I myselfshall cut the inscription on it -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares."	9 Perchè questa è la pietra che io ho posta dinanzi a Gesù, e su questa unica pietra vi saranno sette occhi; io la lavorerò collo scalpello, e in un sol giorno toglierò l'iniquità dalla terra,
10 On that day -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares -- invite each other to come under your vine and your figtree." '	10 in quel giorno — dice il Signore degli eserciti — l'uomo inviterà l'amico suo sotto la vite e sotto il fico ».
