Zechariah 3

1 He then showed me the high priest Joshua, standing before the angel of Yahweh, with Satan standingon his right to accuse him.	1 ויראני את יהושע הכהן הגדול עמד לפני מלאך יהוה והשטן עמד על ימינו לשטנו
2 The angel of Yahweh said to Satan, 'May Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! May Yahweh rebuke you, sincehe has made Jerusalem his choice. Is not this man a brand snatched from the fire?'	2 ויאמר יהוה אל השטן יגער יהוה בך השטן ויגער יהוה בך הבחר בירושלם הלוא זה אוד מצל מאש
3 Now Joshua was dressed in dirty clothes as he stood before the angel.	3 ויהושע היה לבש בגדים צואים ועמד לפני המלאך
4 The latter then spoke as fol ows to those who were standing before him, 'Take off his dirty clothesanddress him in splendid robes	4 ויען ויאמר אל העמדים לפניו לאמר הסירו הבגדים הצאים מעליו ויאמר אליו ראה העברתי מעליך עונך והלבש אתך מחלצות
5 and put a clean turban on his head.' So they put a clean turban on his head and dressed him in cleanclothes, while the angel of Yahweh stood byand said, 'You see, I have taken your guilt away.'	5 ואמר ישימו צניף טהור על ראשו וישימו הצניף הטהור על ראשו וילבשהו בגדים ומלאך יהוה עמד
6 The angel of Yahweh then made this declaration to Joshua,	6 ויעד מלאך יהוה ביהושע לאמר
7 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "If you walk in my ways and keep my ordinances, you shal govern myhouse, you shal watch over my courts, and I wil give you free access among those in attendance here.	7 כה אמר יהוה צבאות אם בדרכי תלך ואם את משמרתי תשמר וגם אתה תדין את ביתי וגם תשמר את חצרי ונתתי לך מהלכים בין העמדים האלה
8 'So listen, High Priest Joshua, you and the colleagues over whom you preside -- for they are an omenof things to come -- for now I shal bring in my servant the Branch, and I shal remove this country's guilt in asingle day.	8 שמע נא יהושע הכהן הגדול אתה ורעיך הישבים לפניך כי אנשי מופת המה כי הנני מביא את עבדי צמח
9 For this is the stone which I have put before Joshua, a stone on which are seven eyes; and I myselfshall cut the inscription on it -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares."	9 כי הנה האבן אשר נתתי לפני יהושע על אבן אחת שבעה עינים הנני מפתח פתחה נאם יהוה צבאות ומשתי את עון הארץ ההיא ביום אחד
10 On that day -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares -- invite each other to come under your vine and your figtree." '	10 ביום ההוא נאם יהוה צבאות תקראו איש לרעהו אל תחת גפן ואל תחת תאנה
