Haggai 2

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 on the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of Yahweh was addressed through the prophetHaggai, as follows,	1 في الشهر السابع في الحادي والعشرين من الشهر كانت كلمة الرب عن يد حجي النبي قائلا
2 'You are to speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jehozadak thehigh priest and to the remnant of the people. Say this,	2 كلم زربابل بن شألتيئيل والي يهوذا ويهوشع بن يهوصادق الكاهن العظيم وبقية الشعب قائلا
3 "Is there anyone left among you who saw this Temple in its former glory? And how does it look to younow? Does it not seem as though there is nothing there?	3 من الباقي فيكم الذي رأى هذا البيت في مجده الاول. وكيف تنظرونه الآن. أما هو في اعينكم كلا شيء.
4 But take courage now, Zerubbabel!-Yahweh declares. Courage, Joshua son of Jehozadak high priest!Courage, al you people of the country!-Yahweh declares. To work! I am with you -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares-	4 فالآن تشدد يا زربابل يقول الرب وتشدد يا يهوشع بن يهوصادق الكاهن العظيم وتشددوا يا جميع شعب الارض يقول الرب واعملوا فاني معكم يقول رب الجنود
5 and my spirit is present among you. Do not be afraid!	5 حسب الكلام الذي عاهدتكم به عند خروجكم من مصر وروحي قائم في وسطكم. لا تخافوا.
6 For Yahweh Sabaoth says this: A little while now, and I shal shake the heavens and the earth, the seaand the dry land.	6 لانه هكذا قال رب الجنود. هي مرّة بعد قليل فازلزل السموات والارض والبحر واليابسة.
7 I shal shake al the nations, and the treasures of al the nations will flow in, and I shal fil this Templewith glory, says Yahweh Sabaoth.	7 وازلزل كل الامم وياتي مشتهى كل الامم فاملأ هذا البيت مجدا قال رب الجنود.
8 Mine is the silver, mine the gold!-Yahweh Sabaoth declares.	8 لي الفضة ولي الذهب يقول رب الجنود.
9 The glory of this new Temple wil surpass that of the old, says Yahweh Sabaoth, and in this place I shalgive peace -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares." '	9 مجد هذا البيت الاخير يكون اعظم من مجد الاول قال رب الجنود وفي هذا المكان اعطي السلام يقول رب الجنود
10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh wasaddressed to the prophet Haggai as fol ows,	10 في الرابع والعشرين من الشهر التاسع في السنة الثانية لداريوس كانت كلمة الرب عن يد حجي النبي قائلا
11 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Ask the priests to give a ruling on this:	11 هكذا قال رب الجنود. اسأل الكهنة عن الشريعة قائلا
12 If someone is carrying consecrated meat in the fold of his gown and al ows the fold to touch bread,broth, wine, oil or food of any kind, wil that become holy?" ' The priests replied, 'No.'	12 ان حمل انسان لحما مقدسا في طرف ثوبه ومس بطرفه خبزا او طبيخا او خمرا او زيتا او طعاما ما فهل يتقدس. فاجاب الكهنة وقالوا لا.
13 Haggai then said, 'If anyone rendered unclean by contact with a corpse touches any of these things,wil that become unclean?' The priests replied, 'It wil become unclean.'	13 فقال حجي ان كان المنجس بميت يمسّ شيئا من هذه فهل يتنجس. فاجاب الكهنة وقالوا يتنجس.
14 Haggai then spoke out. 'It is the same with this people,' he said, 'the same with this nation, in my view-- Yahweh declares -- the same with everything they turn their hands to; and whatever they offer here is unclean.	14 فاجاب حجي وقال. هكذا هذا الشعب وهكذا هذه الامة قدامي يقول الرب وهكذا كل عمل ايديهم وما يقربونه هناك هو نجس.
15 'So now think carefully, today and henceforth: before one stone had been laid on another in thesanctuary of Yahweh,	15 والآن فاجعلوا قلبكم من هذا اليوم فراجعا قبل وضع حجر على حجر في هيكل الرب.
16 what state were you in? You would come to a twenty-measure heap and find only ten; you wouldcome to a vat to draw fifty measures and find only twenty.	16 مذ تلك الايام كان احدكم يأتي الى عرمة عشرين فكانت عشرة. أتى الى حوض المعصرة ليغرف خمسين فورة فكانت عشرين.
17 Everything you turned your hands to, I struck with wind-blast, mildew and hail, and stil you would notreturn to me -- Yahweh declares.	17 قد ضربتكم باللفح وباليرقان وبالبرد في كل عمل ايديكم وما رجعتم اليّ يقول الرب.
18 So think careful y, today and henceforth (from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the daythe foundation of the sanctuary of Yahweh was laid, think careful y)	18 فاجعلوا قلبكم من هذا اليوم فصاعدا من اليوم الرابع والعشرين من الشهر التاسع من اليوم الذي فيه تأسّس هيكل الرب اجعلوا قلبكم.
19 if seed-corn is stil short in the barn, and if vine and fig tree, pomegranate and olive tree still bear nofruit. 'From today onwards I intend to bless you.'	19 هل البذر في الاهراء بعد. والكرم والتين والرمان والزيتون لم يحمل بعد. فمن هذا اليوم ابارك
20 On the twenty-fourth day of the month the word of Yahweh was addressed a second time to Haggai,as fol ows,	20 وصارت كلمة الرب ثانية الى حجي في الرابع والعشرين من الشهر قائلا
21 'Speak to Zerubbabel governor of Judah. Say this, "I am going to shake the heavens and the earth.	21 كلم زربابل والي يهوذا قائلا. اني ازلزل السموات والارض
22 I shal overturn the thrones of kingdoms and destroy the power of the kings of the nations. I shalloverthrow the chariots and their crews; horses and their riders wil fall, every one to the sword of his comrade.	22 واقلب كرسي الممالك وابيد قوّة ممالك الامم واقلب المركبات والراكبين فيها وينحطّ الخيل وراكبوها كل منها بسيف اخيه.
23 When that day comes -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares -- I shal take you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel myservant -- Yahweh declares -- and make you like a signet ring. For I have chosen you -- Yahweh Sabaothdeclares." '	23 في ذلك اليوم يقول رب الجنود آخذك يا زربابل عبدي ابن شألتيئيل يقول الرب واجعلك كخاتم لاني قد اخترتك يقول رب الجنود
