Haggai 2

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 on the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of Yahweh was addressed through the prophetHaggai, as follows,	1 - Questo ai ventiquattro del sesto mese, nell'anno secondo di Dario.
2 'You are to speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jehozadak thehigh priest and to the remnant of the people. Say this,	2 Nel settimo mese, ai ventuno del mese, il Signore parlò ad Aggeo profeta dicendogli:
3 "Is there anyone left among you who saw this Temple in its former glory? And how does it look to younow? Does it not seem as though there is nothing there?	3 «Parla a Zorobabel, figlio di Salatiel, governatore di Giuda, ed a Gesù, figlio di Josedec, sommo sacerdote e al resto del popolo e dirai loro:
4 But take courage now, Zerubbabel!-Yahweh declares. Courage, Joshua son of Jehozadak high priest!Courage, al you people of the country!-Yahweh declares. To work! I am with you -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares-	4 - Chi è rimasto tra di noi, che abbia veduta cotesta Casa nella primiera sua gloria? E che è questa che vedete ora? Non sembra agli occhi vostri come se non esistesse?
5 and my spirit is present among you. Do not be afraid!	5 Ma ora fatti cuore, o Zorobabel, dice il Signore; fatti animo, o Gesù, figlio di Josedec, sommo sacerdote, e voi tutti, popolo del paese, coraggio! dice il Signore degli eserciti, e mettetevi all'opera, perchè io sono con voi, dice il Signore degli eserciti!
6 For Yahweh Sabaoth says this: A little while now, and I shal shake the heavens and the earth, the seaand the dry land.	6 Sto sulla mia parola che ho impegnata con voi quando uscivate dalla terra di Egitto, e il mio spirito sarà in mezzo a voi, non vogliate temere! -».
7 I shal shake al the nations, and the treasures of al the nations will flow in, and I shal fil this Templewith glory, says Yahweh Sabaoth.	7 Perchè così dice il Signore degli eserciti: «Un altro poco ancora, e poi io moverò il cielo e la terra, il mare e il continente;
8 Mine is the silver, mine the gold!-Yahweh Sabaoth declares.	8 e moverò tutte le genti e verrà il Desiderato da tutte le genti e riempirò di gloria questa casa, dice il Signore degli eserciti.
9 The glory of this new Temple wil surpass that of the old, says Yahweh Sabaoth, and in this place I shalgive peace -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares." '	9 Mio è l'oro e mio l'argento, dice il Signore degli eserciti;
10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh wasaddressed to the prophet Haggai as fol ows,	10 grande sarà la gloria di questa Casa, dell'ultima, più che della prima, dice il Signore degli eserciti, e in questo luogo darò la pace, dice il Signore degli eserciti».
11 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Ask the priests to give a ruling on this:	11 Ai ventiquattro del nono mese, l'anno secondo del re Dario, fu comunicata, ad Aggeo profeta, la parola del Signore dicendo:
12 If someone is carrying consecrated meat in the fold of his gown and al ows the fold to touch bread,broth, wine, oil or food of any kind, wil that become holy?" ' The priests replied, 'No.'	12 «Così dice il Signore degli eserciti: - Interroga i sacerdoti
13 Haggai then said, 'If anyone rendered unclean by contact with a corpse touches any of these things,wil that become unclean?' The priests replied, 'It wil become unclean.'	13 su questo punto della legge: Se un uomo porta della carne consacrata in un lembo del suo vestito e tocca, colla falda del suo vestito, pane o pietanza o vino od olio o altra vivanda, resteranno queste cose consacrate? -». E i sacerdoti rispondendo dissero: «No».
14 Haggai then spoke out. 'It is the same with this people,' he said, 'the same with this nation, in my view-- Yahweh declares -- the same with everything they turn their hands to; and whatever they offer here is unclean.	14 E Aggeo soggiunse: «E se uno, contaminato pel contatto d'un cadavere, toccherà qualcuna di coteste cose, sarà essa contaminata?». E i sacerdoti risposero e dissero: «Sarà contaminata».
15 'So now think carefully, today and henceforth: before one stone had been laid on another in thesanctuary of Yahweh,	15 E Aggeo proseguì dicendo: «Così è di questo popolo, così è di questa nazione a mio riguardo, dice il Signore, così è di tutte le opere delle sue mani, e tutto quello che offrirono è contaminato.
16 what state were you in? You would come to a twenty-measure heap and find only ten; you wouldcome to a vat to draw fifty measures and find only twenty.	16 Rivolgete la vostra attenzione su ciò che vi avvenne da oggi indietro, prima ancora che si ponesse pietra sopra pietra nel tempio del Signore:
17 Everything you turned your hands to, I struck with wind-blast, mildew and hail, and stil you would notreturn to me -- Yahweh declares.	17 accostandosi ad una bica da venti moggi, ce ne erano dieci; entrando al torchio per spremere cinquanta barili, ce n'erano venti.
18 So think careful y, today and henceforth (from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the daythe foundation of the sanctuary of Yahweh was laid, think careful y)	18 Vi ho percossi col vento caldo e colla ruggine e colla gragnola che hanno flagellato tutti i lavori delle vostre braccia, e non v'ebbe tra voi chi ritornasse a me, dice il Signore.
19 if seed-corn is stil short in the barn, and if vine and fig tree, pomegranate and olive tree still bear nofruit. 'From today onwards I intend to bless you.'	19 Fate ora attenzione a ciò che avverrà da cotesto giorno, cioè dai ventiquattro del nono mese in poi, dal giorno in cui furono gettate le fondamenta del tempio del Signore, state attenti ad osservare.
20 On the twenty-fourth day of the month the word of Yahweh was addressed a second time to Haggai,as fol ows,	20 Forse che la semente è già in germe? Neppure la vigna ed il fico e il melagrano e l'olivo hanno fiorito; ma io da questo giorno benedirò».
21 'Speak to Zerubbabel governor of Judah. Say this, "I am going to shake the heavens and the earth.	21 Una seconda volta ai ventiquattro del mese fu comunicata ad Aggeo la parola del Signore che gli disse:
22 I shal overturn the thrones of kingdoms and destroy the power of the kings of the nations. I shalloverthrow the chariots and their crews; horses and their riders wil fall, every one to the sword of his comrade.	22 «Parla a Zorobabel governatore di Giuda e digli: - Io scoterò il cielo e la terra insieme
23 When that day comes -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares -- I shal take you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel myservant -- Yahweh declares -- and make you like a signet ring. For I have chosen you -- Yahweh Sabaothdeclares." '	23 e sovvertirò il trono dei regni, e infrangerò la potenza dell'impero delle genti, e rovescerò cocchi e cocchieri, e i cavalli e i cavalieri cascheranno, e l'uomo cadrà per mano del suo fratello.
	24 In quel giorno, dice il Signore degli eserciti, prenderò te, o Zorobabel, figlio di Salatiel, mio servo, dice il Signore, e farò di te come un sigillo; perchè ti ho eletto, dice il Signore degli eserciti -».
