NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 on the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of Yahweh was addressed through the prophetHaggai, as follows,	1 A hetedik hónapban, a hónap huszonegyedik napján az Úr a következő szózatot mondta Aggeus próféta által:
2 'You are to speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jehozadak thehigh priest and to the remnant of the people. Say this,	2 »Szólj Zerubbábelhez, Salátiel fiához, Júda helytartójához, és Józsuéhoz, Joszedek fiához, a főpaphoz, és a többi néphez, és mondd nekik:
3 "Is there anyone left among you who saw this Temple in its former glory? And how does it look to younow? Does it not seem as though there is nothing there?	3 Ki van közületek még életben, aki látta ezt a házat hajdani dicsőségében? És milyennek látjátok most? Nemde olyan a szemetek előtt, mintha nem is volna?
4 But take courage now, Zerubbabel!-Yahweh declares. Courage, Joshua son of Jehozadak high priest!Courage, al you people of the country!-Yahweh declares. To work! I am with you -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares-	4 Nos, bátorság, Zerubbábel! – mondja az Úr. – Bátorság, Józsue főpap, Joszedek fia! Bátorság, a föld egész népe! – mondja a Seregek Ura. – Dolgozzatok! Hiszen én veletek vagyok! – mondja a Seregek Ura. –
5 and my spirit is present among you. Do not be afraid!	5 Aszerint, amint szövetséget kötöttem veletek, amikor kijöttetek Egyiptom földjéről, és az én lelkem közöttetek lesz. Ne féljetek!
6 For Yahweh Sabaoth says this: A little while now, and I shal shake the heavens and the earth, the seaand the dry land.	6 Mert így szól a Seregek Ura: Még egy kevés idő, s én megrendítem az eget és a földet, a tengert és a szárazföldet.
7 I shal shake al the nations, and the treasures of al the nations will flow in, and I shal fil this Templewith glory, says Yahweh Sabaoth.	7 Megrendítem az összes nemzetet, és ideáramlik minden népnek a kincse. Dicsőséggel töltöm be ezt a házat – mondja a Seregek Ura. –
8 Mine is the silver, mine the gold!-Yahweh Sabaoth declares.	8 Enyém az ezüst és enyém az arany! – mondja a Seregek Ura. –
9 The glory of this new Temple wil surpass that of the old, says Yahweh Sabaoth, and in this place I shalgive peace -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares." '	9 Nagyobb lesz ez új háznak dicsősége az elsőénél – mondja a Seregek Ura –, ezen a helyen adok én békességet« – mondja a Seregek Ura.
10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh wasaddressed to the prophet Haggai as fol ows,	10 A kilencedik hónap huszonnegyedik napján, Dáriusz király második esztendejében az Úr a következő szózatot intézte Aggeus prófétához:
11 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Ask the priests to give a ruling on this:	11 »Így szól a Seregek Ura: Kérj felvilágosítást a papoktól:
12 If someone is carrying consecrated meat in the fold of his gown and al ows the fold to touch bread,broth, wine, oil or food of any kind, wil that become holy?" ' The priests replied, 'No.'	12 Ha valaki szentelt húst visz ruhája csücskével, és aztán kenyeret, főzeléket, bort, olajat, vagy bármilyen eledelt érint ruhája szélével, vajon szentté lesznek-e azok?« Azt felelték a papok: »Nem.«
13 Haggai then said, 'If anyone rendered unclean by contact with a corpse touches any of these things,wil that become unclean?' The priests replied, 'It wil become unclean.'	13 Erre azt mondta Aggeus: »Ha halott által tisztátalanná lett ember érinti mindezeket, akkor tisztátalanokká lesznek-e?« Azt felelték a papok: »Tisztátalanokká lesznek.«
14 Haggai then spoke out. 'It is the same with this people,' he said, 'the same with this nation, in my view-- Yahweh declares -- the same with everything they turn their hands to; and whatever they offer here is unclean.	14 Így szólt erre Aggeus: »Ilyen ez a nép és ilyen ez a nemzet az én színem előtt – mondja az Úr –, és ilyen mindaz, amit kezük művel, és mindaz, amit itt bemutatnak: tisztátalan.
15 'So now think carefully, today and henceforth: before one stone had been laid on another in thesanctuary of Yahweh,	15 Nos tehát, vizsgáljátok meg magatokat a mai naptól fogva és a jövőben! Hogy ment sorsotok, mielőtt kő kőre került volna az Úr templomában:
16 what state were you in? You would come to a twenty-measure heap and find only ten; you wouldcome to a vat to draw fifty measures and find only twenty.	16 Ha húsz éfára becsült osztaghoz mentetek, csak tíz volt az, és ha a borsajtóhoz mentetek, hogy ötven korsóra valót sajtoljatok, csak húsz korsóra való akadt.
17 Everything you turned your hands to, I struck with wind-blast, mildew and hail, and stil you would notreturn to me -- Yahweh declares.	17 Megvertelek titeket forró széllel, ragyával és jégesővel vertem meg kezetek minden munkáját, és nem akadt köztetek senki sem, aki visszatért volna hozzám – mondja az Úr. –
18 So think careful y, today and henceforth (from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the daythe foundation of the sanctuary of Yahweh was laid, think careful y)	18 Fontoljátok meg a mai naptól fogva és a jövőben, a kilencedik hónap huszonnegyedik napjától fogva, attól a naptól fogva, amikor az Úr templomának alapjait letettétek, fontoljátok meg!
19 if seed-corn is stil short in the barn, and if vine and fig tree, pomegranate and olive tree still bear nofruit. 'From today onwards I intend to bless you.'	19 Nemde fakad már a vetés? És nem rügyezik-e már a szőlő és a fügefa, a gránátalma és az olajfa? Ettől a naptól fogva áldást adok.«
20 On the twenty-fourth day of the month the word of Yahweh was addressed a second time to Haggai,as fol ows,	20 A hónap huszonnegyedikén másodszor is a következő szózatot intézte az Úr Aggeushoz:
21 'Speak to Zerubbabel governor of Judah. Say this, "I am going to shake the heavens and the earth.	21 »Szólj Zerubbábelhez, Júda helytartójához, és mondd neki: Megrendítem majd én az eget és a földet egyaránt.
22 I shal overturn the thrones of kingdoms and destroy the power of the kings of the nations. I shalloverthrow the chariots and their crews; horses and their riders wil fall, every one to the sword of his comrade.	22 Ledöntöm az országok trónját és összezúzom a pogányok országának hatalmát; felforgatom a szekeret és a rajta ülőt, elesnek a lovak, és egymás kardjától azok, akik rajtuk ülnek.
23 When that day comes -- Yahweh Sabaoth declares -- I shal take you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel myservant -- Yahweh declares -- and make you like a signet ring. For I have chosen you -- Yahweh Sabaothdeclares." '	23 Azon a napon – mondja a Seregek Ura –, veszlek téged, Zerubbábel, Salátiel fia, én szolgám – mondja az Úr –, és mintegy pecsétgyűrűvé teszlek, mert téged választottalak ki – mondja a Seregek Ura.«
