NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 'Make yourself two trumpets; make them of beaten silver, so that you can use them for summoningthe community, and for sounding the order to break camp.	2 "Fatti due trombe d'argento: le farai massicce e serviranno per la convocazione della comunità e la partenza dagli accampamenti:
3 Whenever they are sounded, the whole community must gather round you, at the entrance to theTent of Meeting.	3 con quelle si suonerà e si radunerà presso di te tutta la comunità all'ingresso della tenda del convegno.
4 But if only one trumpet is sounded, then only the leaders, the heads of Israel's thousands, mustgather round you.	4 Al suono di una sola, converranno presso di te i capi, alla testa delle migliaia d'Israele.
5 'When the trumpet blast is accompanied by a battle cry, the encampments pitched to the east wil setout.	5 Quando suonerete con clamore, gli accampati a est partiranno.
6 At the second blast accompanied by a battle cry, the encampments pitched to the south wil set out.For breaking camp, the trumpet blast wil be accompanied by a battle cry,	6 Suonerete con clamore una seconda volta e partiranno quelli accampati a sud: si suoneranno con clamore quando si dovranno muovere.
7 but for assembling the community the trumpets will be sounded without battle cry.	7 Quando radunerete l'assemblea suonerete, ma non con clamore.
8 The Aaronite priests wil sound the trumpets; this is a perpetual decree for you and your descendants.	8 Suoneranno le trombe i figli di Aronne, i sacerdoti: sarà per voi una prescrizione perenne per le vostre generazioni.
9 'When in your country you go to war against an enemy who is oppressing you, you will soundtrumpets with a battle cry, and Yahweh your God wil remember you, and you wil be delivered from yourenemies.	9 Se entrerete in guerra nella vostra terra contro un oppressore che vi attacca, farete clamore con le trombe, vi ricorderete del Signore, vostro Dio, e sarete salvati contro i vostri nemici.
10 At your festivals, solemnities and new-moon feasts, you will sound the trumpets over your burntofferings and communion sacrifices, so that they recal you to the remembrance of your God. I am Yahweh yourGod.'	10 Nel giorno della vostra gioia, nelle vostre feste, agli inizi dei vostri mesi suonerete le trombe per i vostri olocausti, per i vostri sacrifici di pace e per voi saranno un ricordo davanti al vostro Dio. Io sono il Signore, vostro Dio".
11 In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud rose fromwhere the Dwel ing of the Testimony was,	11 Nel secondo anno, nel secondo mese, il

15 Nethanel son of Zuar commanding the tribal contingent of the Issacharites;	15 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Issacar era Natanael, figlio di Suar.
16 and Eliab son of Helon commanding the tribal contingent of the Zebulunites.	16 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Zabulon era Eliab, figlio di Chelon.
17 The Dwel ing was then dismantled and the Gershonites and Merarites set out, carrying the Dwel ing.	17 Poi la dimora fu smontata e partirono i figli di Gherson e i figli di Merari, che la portavano.

20 and Eliasaph son of Reuel commanding the tribal contingent of the Gadites.	20 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Gad era Eliasaf, figlio di Deuel.

24 and Abidan son of Gideoni commanding the tribal contingent of the Benjaminites.	24 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Beniamino era Abidan, figlio di Ghideoni.
25 Last of al , the rearguard of al the camps, came the standard of the camp of the Danites and theirunits, with Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai commanding that contingent;	25 Partì infine l'insegna del campo dei figli di Dan, a conclusione di tutti i campi, secondo le loro schiere: sulla sua schiera era Achiezer, figlio di Ammisaddai.
26 Pagiel son of Ochran commanding the tribal contingent of the Asherites;	26 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Aser era Paghiel, figlio di Ocran.
27 and Ahira son of Enan commanding the tribal contingent of the Naphtalites.	27 Sopra la schiera della tribù dei figli di Neftali era Achira, figlio di Enan.
28 Such was the order of march for the Israelites, unit by unit. So they set out.	28 Questo era l'ordine di marcia dei figli d'Israele, secondo le loro schiere. E partirono.
29 Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, his father-in-law, 'We are setting out for the countryof which Yahweh has said: I shall give it to you. Come with us, and we wil treat you wel , for Yahweh haspromised good things for Israel.'	29 Mosè disse a Obab, figlio di Reuel, madianita, suocero di Mosè: "Stiamo partendo verso il luogo del quale il Signore ha detto "Ve lo darò": vieni con noi e ti faremo del bene, perché il Signore ha promesso di fare del bene a Israele".
30 'I wil not come with you,' he replied, 'but shal go to my own country and kin.'	30 Gli rispose: "Non andrò, ma tornerò alla mia terra, presso i miei parenti".
31 'Do not leave us,' Moses said, 'for you know where we can camp in the desert, and so you will beour eyes.	31 Mosè disse: "Non abbandonarci, perché tu sai dove possiamo accampare nel deserto e sarai per noi come gli occhi.
32 If you come with us, we shal share with you whatever blessings Yahweh gives us.'	32 Se verrai con noi, quel bene che il Signore farà a noi, lo faremo a te".
33 They set out from Yahweh's mountain and travel ed for three days, while the ark of the covenant ofYahweh preceded them on the three-day journey, searching out a place for them to halt.	33 Partirono allora dalla montagna del Signore e fecero tre giorni di cammino, mentre l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore li precedeva per un cammino di tre giorni, per cercare un luogo di riposo per loro.
34 In the daytime, Yahweh's cloud was over them, once they had broken camp.	34 La nuvola del Signore era su di loro durante il giorno, da quando erano partiti dal campo.
35 Whenever the ark set out, Moses would say: Rise, Yahweh, may your enemies be scattered andthose who hate you flee at your approach!	35 Quando partiva l'arca, Mosè diceva: "Sorgi, Signore, siano dispersi i tuoi nemici, fuggano davanti a te quelli che ti odiano";
36 And when it halted, he would say: Come back, Yahweh, to the countless thousands of Israel!	36 e quando si fermava, diceva: "Ritorna, o Signore, alla moltitudine delle migliaia d'Israele".
