NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην λεγων
2 'Make yourself two trumpets; make them of beaten silver, so that you can use them for summoningthe community, and for sounding the order to break camp.	2 ποιησον σεαυτω δυο σαλπιγγας αργυρας ελατας ποιησεις αυτας και εσονται σοι ανακαλειν την συναγωγην και εξαιρειν τας παρεμβολας
3 Whenever they are sounded, the whole community must gather round you, at the entrance to theTent of Meeting.	3 και σαλπισεις εν αυταις και συναχθησεται πασα η συναγωγη επι την θυραν της σκηνης του μαρτυριου
4 But if only one trumpet is sounded, then only the leaders, the heads of Israel's thousands, mustgather round you.	4 εαν δε εν μια σαλπισωσιν προσελευσονται προς σε παντες οι αρχοντες αρχηγοι ισραηλ
5 'When the trumpet blast is accompanied by a battle cry, the encampments pitched to the east wil setout.	5 και σαλπιειτε σημασιαν και εξαρουσιν αι παρεμβολαι αι παρεμβαλλουσαι ανατολας
6 At the second blast accompanied by a battle cry, the encampments pitched to the south wil set out.For breaking camp, the trumpet blast wil be accompanied by a battle cry,	6 και σαλπιειτε σημασιαν δευτεραν και εξαρουσιν αι παρεμβολαι αι παρεμβαλλουσαι λιβα και σαλπιειτε σημασιαν τριτην και εξαρουσιν αι παρεμβολαι αι παρεμβαλλουσαι παρα θαλασσαν και σαλπιειτε σημασιαν τεταρτην και εξαρουσιν αι παρεμβολαι αι παρεμβαλλουσαι προς βορραν σημασια σαλπιουσιν εν τη εξαρσει αυτων
7 but for assembling the community the trumpets will be sounded without battle cry.	7 και οταν συναγαγητε την συναγωγην σαλπιειτε και ου σημασια
8 The Aaronite priests wil sound the trumpets; this is a perpetual decree for you and your descendants.	8 και οι υιοι ααρων οι ιερεις σαλπιουσιν ταις σαλπιγξιν και εσται υμιν νομιμον αιωνιον εις τας γενεας υμων
9 'When in your country you go to war against an enemy who is oppressing you, you will soundtrumpets with a battle cry, and Yahweh your God wil remember you, and you wil be delivered from yourenemies.	9 εαν δε εξελθητε εις πολεμον εν τη γη υμων προς τους υπεναντιους τους ανθεστηκοτας υμιν και σημανειτε ταις σαλπιγξιν και αναμνησθησεσθε εναντι κυριου και διασωθησεσθε απο των εχθρων υμων
10 At your festivals, solemnities and new-moon feasts, you will sound the trumpets over your burntofferings and communion sacrifices, so that they recal you to the remembrance of your God. I am Yahweh yourGod.'	10 και εν ταις ημεραις της ευφροσυνης υμων και εν ταις εορταις υμων και εν ταις νουμηνιαις υμων σαλπιειτε ταις σαλπιγξιν επι τοις ολοκαυτωμασιν και επι ταις θυσιαις των σωτηριων υμων και εσται υμιν αναμνησις εναντι του θεου υμων εγω κυριος ο θεος υμων
11 In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud rose fromwhere the Dwel ing of the Testimony was,	11 και εγενετο εν τω ενιαυτω τω δευτερω εν τω μηνι τω δευτερω εικαδι του μηνος ανεβη η νεφελη απο της σκηνης του μαρτυριου
12 and the Israelites set out, in marching order, from the desert of Sinai. The cloud came to rest in thedesert of Paran.	12 και εξηραν οι υιοι ισραηλ συν απαρτιαις αυτων εν τη ερημω σινα και εστη η νεφελη εν τη ερημω του φαραν
13 These were the men who set out in the vanguard, at Yahweh's order through Moses:	13 και εξηραν πρωτοι δια φωνης κυριου εν χειρι μωυση
14 first went the standard of the camp of the Judahites and their units, with Nahshon son ofAmminadab commanding that contingent;	14 και εξηραν ταγμα παρεμβολης υιων ιουδα πρωτοι συν δυναμει αυτων και επι της δυναμεως αυτων ναασσων υιος αμιναδαβ
15 Nethanel son of Zuar commanding the tribal contingent of the Issacharites;	15 και επι της δυναμεως φυλης υιων ισσαχαρ ναθαναηλ υιος σωγαρ
16 and Eliab son of Helon commanding the tribal contingent of the Zebulunites.	16 και επι της δυναμεως φυλης υιων ζαβουλων ελιαβ υιος χαιλων
17 The Dwel ing was then dismantled and the Gershonites and Merarites set out, carrying the Dwel ing.	17 και καθελουσιν την σκηνην και εξαρουσιν οι υιοι γεδσων και οι υιοι μεραρι αιροντες την σκηνην
18 Then came the standard of the camp of the Reubenites and their units, with Elizur son of Shedeurcommanding that contingent;	18 και εξηραν ταγμα παρεμβολης ρουβην συν δυναμει αυτων και επι της δυναμεως αυτων ελισουρ υιος σεδιουρ
19 Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai commanding the tribal contingent of the Simeonites;	19 και επι της δυναμεως φυλης υιων συμεων σαλαμιηλ υιος σουρισαδαι
20 and Eliasaph son of Reuel commanding the tribal contingent of the Gadites.	20 και επι της δυναμεως φυλης υιων γαδ ελισαφ ο του ραγουηλ
21 Then came the Kohathites carrying the sanctuary (the Dwel ing was erected before they arrived).	21 και εξαρουσιν οι υιοι κααθ αιροντες τα αγια και στησουσιν την σκηνην εως παραγενωνται
22 Then came the standard of the camp of the Ephraimites and their units, with Elishama son ofAmmihud commanding that contingent;	22 και εξαρουσιν ταγμα παρεμβολης εφραιμ συν δυναμει αυτων και επι της δυναμεως αυτων ελισαμα υιος εμιουδ
23 Gamaliel son of Pedahzur commanding the tribal contingent of the Manassehites;	23 και επι της δυναμεως φυλης υιων μανασση γαμαλιηλ ο του φαδασσουρ
24 and Abidan son of Gideoni commanding the tribal contingent of the Benjaminites.	24 και επι της δυναμεως φυλης υιων βενιαμιν αβιδαν ο του γαδεωνι
25 Last of al , the rearguard of al the camps, came the standard of the camp of the Danites and theirunits, with Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai commanding that contingent;	25 και εξαρουσιν ταγμα παρεμβολης υιων δαν εσχατοι πασων των παρεμβολων συν δυναμει αυτων και επι της δυναμεως αυτων αχιεζερ ο του αμισαδαι
26 Pagiel son of Ochran commanding the tribal contingent of the Asherites;	26 και επι της δυναμεως φυλης υιων ασηρ φαγαιηλ υιος εχραν
27 and Ahira son of Enan commanding the tribal contingent of the Naphtalites.	27 και επι της δυναμεως φυλης υιων νεφθαλι αχιρε υιος αιναν
28 Such was the order of march for the Israelites, unit by unit. So they set out.	28 αυται αι στρατιαι υιων ισραηλ και εξηραν συν δυναμει αυτων
29 Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, his father-in-law, 'We are setting out for the countryof which Yahweh has said: I shall give it to you. Come with us, and we wil treat you wel , for Yahweh haspromised good things for Israel.'	29 και ειπεν μωυσης τω ιωβαβ υιω ραγουηλ τω μαδιανιτη τω γαμβρω μωυση εξαιρομεν ημεις εις τον τοπον ον ειπεν κυριος τουτον δωσω υμιν δευρο μεθ' ημων και ευ σε ποιησομεν οτι κυριος ελαλησεν καλα περι ισραηλ
30 'I wil not come with you,' he replied, 'but shal go to my own country and kin.'	30 και ειπεν προς αυτον ου πορευσομαι αλλα εις την γην μου και εις την γενεαν μου
31 'Do not leave us,' Moses said, 'for you know where we can camp in the desert, and so you will beour eyes.	31 και ειπεν μη εγκαταλιπης ημας ου εινεκεν ησθα μεθ' ημων εν τη ερημω και εση εν ημιν πρεσβυτης
32 If you come with us, we shal share with you whatever blessings Yahweh gives us.'	32 και εσται εαν πορευθης μεθ' ημων και εσται τα αγαθα εκεινα οσα εαν αγαθοποιηση κυριος ημας και ευ σε ποιησομεν
33 They set out from Yahweh's mountain and travel ed for three days, while the ark of the covenant ofYahweh preceded them on the three-day journey, searching out a place for them to halt.	33 και εξηραν εκ του ορους κυριου οδον τριων ημερων και η κιβωτος της διαθηκης κυριου προεπορευετο προτερα αυτων οδον τριων ημερων κατασκεψασθαι αυτοις αναπαυσιν
34 In the daytime, Yahweh's cloud was over them, once they had broken camp.	34 και εγενετο εν τω εξαιρειν την κιβωτον και ειπεν μωυσης εξεγερθητι κυριε διασκορπισθητωσαν οι εχθροι σου φυγετωσαν παντες οι μισουντες σε
35 Whenever the ark set out, Moses would say: Rise, Yahweh, may your enemies be scattered andthose who hate you flee at your approach!	35 και εν τη καταπαυσει ειπεν επιστρεφε κυριε χιλιαδας μυριαδας εν τω ισραηλ
36 And when it halted, he would say: Come back, Yahweh, to the countless thousands of Israel!	36 και η νεφελη εγενετο σκιαζουσα επ' αυτοις ημερας εν τω εξαιρειν αυτους εκ της παρεμβολης
