1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 - Ed il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
2 'Make yourself two trumpets; make them of beaten silver, so that you can use them for summoningthe community, and for sounding the order to break camp.	2 «Fatti fare due trombe d'argento battuto, per convocare con esse la moltitudine, [e per dar il segnale] quando debbon muoversi gli accampamenti.
3 Whenever they are sounded, the whole community must gather round you, at the entrance to theTent of Meeting.	3 Quando farai suonar le trombe, tutto il popolo si radunerà presso di te, all'ingresso del tabernacolo dell'alleanza.
4 But if only one trumpet is sounded, then only the leaders, the heads of Israel's thousands, mustgather round you.	4 Se farai sonare una sola volta, verranno a te i principi e capi del popolo d'Israele;
5 'When the trumpet blast is accompanied by a battle cry, the encampments pitched to the east wil setout.	5 se farai dare un suono più lungo a più riprese, moveranno le tende per primi quelli che stanno ad oriente.
6 At the second blast accompanied by a battle cry, the encampments pitched to the south wil set out.For breaking camp, the trumpet blast wil be accompanied by a battle cry,	6 Alla seconda chiamata d'un eguale squillo di trombe, leveranno le tende quelli che stanno a mezzogiorno; similmente faranno gli altri, quando le trombe daranno il segnale per la loro partenza.
7 but for assembling the community the trumpets will be sounded without battle cry.	7 Quando invece il popolo dovrà radunarsi, le trombe daranno un segnale semplice, e non squilleranno ripetutamente.
8 The Aaronite priests wil sound the trumpets; this is a perpetual decree for you and your descendants.	8 I sacerdoti figli d'Aronne suoneranno essi le trombe; sarà questa una legge perpetua pe' vostri discendenti.
9 'When in your country you go to war against an enemy who is oppressing you, you will soundtrumpets with a battle cry, and Yahweh your God wil remember you, and you wil be delivered from yourenemies.	9 E se uscirete in guerra dalla vostra regione contro i nemici che combattono contro di voi, darete l'allarme squillando le trombe; ciò servirà a ricordarvi al Signore Dio vostro, acciò scampiate dalle mani de' vostri nemici.
10 At your festivals, solemnities and new-moon feasts, you will sound the trumpets over your burntofferings and communion sacrifices, so that they recal you to the remembrance of your God. I am Yahweh yourGod.'	10 Quando poi farete allegrezza, e celebrerete i giorni solenni e le calende, accompagnerete col suono delle trombe gli olocausti e le ostie pacifiche, acciò vi facciano ricordare il Signore Dio vostro. Io, il Signore Dio vostro».
11 In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud rose fromwhere the Dwel ing of the Testimony was,	11 L'anno secondo, il mese secondo, ai venti del mese, la nube s'alzò di sul tabernacolo dell'alleanza.
12 and the Israelites set out, in marching order, from the desert of Sinai. The cloud came to rest in thedesert of Paran.	12 I figli d'Israele partirono schiera per schiera dal deserto di Sinai, e la nube si fermò nel deserto di Faran.
13 These were the men who set out in the vanguard, at Yahweh's order through Moses:	13 Secondo l'ordine dato a Mosè dal Signore, levaron primi le tende,
14 first went the standard of the camp of the Judahites and their units, with Nahshon son ofAmminadab commanding that contingent;	14 i figli di Giuda, schiera per schiera, e il loro capo era Naasson figlio d'Aminadab;
15 Nethanel son of Zuar commanding the tribal contingent of the Issacharites;	15 della tribù de' figli d'Issacar, fu capo Natanael figlio di Suar;
16 and Eliab son of Helon commanding the tribal contingent of the Zebulunites.	16 della tribù di Zabulon, fu capo Heliab figlio di Helon.
17 The Dwel ing was then dismantled and the Gershonites and Merarites set out, carrying the Dwel ing.	17 Poi si mossero i [leviti] figli di Gerson e di Merari, portando il tabernacolo smontato.
18 Then came the standard of the camp of the Reubenites and their units, with Elizur son of Shedeurcommanding that contingent;	18 Indi partirono a schiere, nell'ordine stabilito, i figli di Ruben aventi a capo Helisur figlio di Sedeur;
19 Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai commanding the tribal contingent of the Simeonites;	19 nella tribù de' figli di Simeon fu capo Salamiel figlio di Surisaddai;
20 and Eliasaph son of Reuel commanding the tribal contingent of the Gadites.	20 capo della tribù di Gad, Eliasaf figlio di Duel.
21 Then came the Kohathites carrying the sanctuary (the Dwel ing was erected before they arrived).	21 Quindi partirono i [leviti] della stirpe di Caat, portando il santuario; lo portavano sinchè fossero giunti al luogo dove doveva essere rimontato.
22 Then came the standard of the camp of the Ephraimites and their units, with Elishama son ofAmmihud commanding that contingent;	22 Poi mossero gli accampamenti i figli d'Efraim, a schiere, e capo del loro esercito era Elisama figlio di Ammiud;
23 Gamaliel son of Pedahzur commanding the tribal contingent of the Manassehites;	23 nella tribù de' figli di Manasse, era capo Galamiel figlio di Fadassur;
24 and Abidan son of Gideoni commanding the tribal contingent of the Benjaminites.	24 nella tribù di Beniamino, era capo Abidan figlio di Gedeone.
25 Last of al , the rearguard of al the camps, came the standard of the camp of the Danites and theirunits, with Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai commanding that contingent;	25 Ultimi di tutto il campo partirono i figli di Dan, a schiere, del cui esercito era capo Aiezer figlio d'Ammisaddai;
26 Pagiel son of Ochran commanding the tribal contingent of the Asherites;	26 nella tribù de' figli d'Aser, era capo Fegiel figlio di Ocran;
27 and Ahira son of Enan commanding the tribal contingent of the Naphtalites.	27 nella tribù de' figli di Neftali, era capo Aira figlio d'Enan.
28 Such was the order of march for the Israelites, unit by unit. So they set out.	28 Quest'è l'ordine di partenza de' figli d'Israele dal campo, ogni qualvolta si mettevano in viaggio schiera per schiera.
29 Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, his father-in-law, 'We are setting out for the countryof which Yahweh has said: I shall give it to you. Come with us, and we wil treat you wel , for Yahweh haspromised good things for Israel.'	29 Ora Mosè disse a Obab figlio di figlio di Raguel, madianita, suo cognato: «Noi partiamo per il luogo che il Signore è per darci; vieni con noi, e ti faremo del bene, perchè il Signore ha promesso molti beni ad Israele».
30 'I wil not come with you,' he replied, 'but shal go to my own country and kin.'	30 Quegli rispose: «Non verrò con te, ma tornerò nella mia terra dove son nato».
31 'Do not leave us,' Moses said, 'for you know where we can camp in the desert, and so you will beour eyes.	31 E Mosè: «Non ci voler lasciare; tu infatti conosci i luoghi ove dobbiamo accamparci nel deserto, e sarai nostra guida.
32 If you come with us, we shal share with you whatever blessings Yahweh gives us.'	32 Se verrai con noi, ti daremo quel che vi sarà di meglio dei beni che il Signore è per darci».
33 They set out from Yahweh's mountain and travel ed for three days, while the ark of the covenant ofYahweh preceded them on the three-day journey, searching out a place for them to halt.	33 Partiti dunque dal monte del Signore camminarono per tre giorni; l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore li precedeva in quei tre giorni, segnando loro il luogo delle fermate.
34 In the daytime, Yahweh's cloud was over them, once they had broken camp.	34 Anche la nube del Signore stava sopra di loro, il giorno, mentre camminavano.
35 Whenever the ark set out, Moses would say: Rise, Yahweh, may your enemies be scattered andthose who hate you flee at your approach!	35 Quando l'arca veniva alzata diceva Mosè: «Sorgi, Signore, e siano dispersi i tuoi nemici, e fuggano dalla tua faccia quei che ti odiano».
36 And when it halted, he would say: Come back, Yahweh, to the countless thousands of Israel!	36 Quando poi veniva deposta, diceva: «Torna, Signore, alla moltitudine dell'esercito d'Israele».
