NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 El Señor dijo a Moisés:
2 'Make yourself two trumpets; make them of beaten silver, so that you can use them for summoningthe community, and for sounding the order to break camp.	2 Manda hacer dos trompetas de plata, forjadas a martillo. Ellas te servirán para convocar a la comunidad y para movilizar las divisiones.
3 Whenever they are sounded, the whole community must gather round you, at the entrance to theTent of Meeting.	3 Cuando se hagan sonar las dos trompetas, toda la comunidad se reunirá delante de ti, a la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro.
4 But if only one trumpet is sounded, then only the leaders, the heads of Israel's thousands, mustgather round you.	4 Pero si tocan una sola, se reunirán contigo los jefes, es decir, los capitanes de los regimientos de Israel.
5 'When the trumpet blast is accompanied by a battle cry, the encampments pitched to the east wil setout.	5 Cuando ustedes den un toque de trompeta acompañado de una aclamación, se pondrán en movimiento las divisiones acampadas al este;
6 At the second blast accompanied by a battle cry, the encampments pitched to the south wil set out.For breaking camp, the trumpet blast wil be accompanied by a battle cry,	6 y al segundo toque de trompeta, realizado de la misma manera, lo harán las divisiones acampadas al sur. Así, el toque de trompetas acompañado de una aclamación, los hará avanzar,
7 but for assembling the community the trumpets will be sounded without battle cry.	7 mientras que para reunir a la comunidad se tocarán las trompetas sin proferir ninguna aclamación.
8 The Aaronite priests wil sound the trumpets; this is a perpetual decree for you and your descendants.	8 Las trompetas las tocarán los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes. Este será para ustedes y para sus descendientes un decreto irrevocable, a lo largo de las generaciones.
9 'When in your country you go to war against an enemy who is oppressing you, you will soundtrumpets with a battle cry, and Yahweh your God wil remember you, and you wil be delivered from yourenemies.	9 Cuando ustedes, en su propia tierra, tengan que combatir contra un enemigo que venga a atacarlos, deberán tocar las trompetas profiriendo aclamaciones, y el Señor, su Dios, se acordará de ustedes, y se verán libre de sus enemigos.
10 At your festivals, solemnities and new-moon feasts, you will sound the trumpets over your burntofferings and communion sacrifices, so that they recal you to the remembrance of your God. I am Yahweh yourGod.'	10 En las grandes ocasiones, en las fiestas días de luna nueva, tocarán las trompetas sobre sus holocaustos y sus sacrificios de comunión; y este será para ustedes un memorial delante de su Dios. Yo soy el Señor, su Dios.
11 In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud rose fromwhere the Dwel ing of the Testimony was,	11 En el segundo año, el día veinte del segundo mes, la nube se alzó por encima de la Morada del Testimonio,
12 and the Israelites set out, in marching order, from the desert of Sinai. The cloud came to rest in thedesert of Paran.	12 y los israelitas fueron avanzando por etapas desde el desierto del Sinaí, hasta que la nube se detuvo en el desierto de Parán.
13 These were the men who set out in the vanguard, at Yahweh's order through Moses:	13 Cuando se inició la marcha, según la orden que dio el Señor por medio de Moisés,
14 first went the standard of the camp of the Judahites and their units, with Nahshon son ofAmminadab commanding that contingent;	14 el primero en partir fue el estandarte de la división de Judá, distribuida por regimientos, Al frente de sus tropas iba Najsón, hijo de Aminadab;
15 Nethanel son of Zuar commanding the tribal contingent of the Issacharites;	15 al frente de las tropas de la tribu de Isacar iba Natanael, hijo de Suar;
16 and Eliab son of Helon commanding the tribal contingent of the Zebulunites.	16 y al frente de las tropas de la tribu de Zabulón iba Eliab, hijo de Jelón.
17 The Dwel ing was then dismantled and the Gershonites and Merarites set out, carrying the Dwel ing.	17 Una vez que se desarmó la Morada, avanzaron los gersonitas y los meraritas, que eran los encargados de transportarla.
18 Then came the standard of the camp of the Reubenites and their units, with Elizur son of Shedeurcommanding that contingent;	18 Luego avanzó el estandarte de la división de Rubén, distribuida por regimientos. Al frente de sus tropas iba Elisur, hijo de Sedeur;
19 Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai commanding the tribal contingent of the Simeonites;	19 al frente de las tropas de la tribu de Simeón iba Selumiel, hijo de Surisadai;
20 and Eliasaph son of Reuel commanding the tribal contingent of the Gadites.	20 y al frente de las tropas de la tribu de Gad iba Eliasaf, hijo de Deuel.
21 Then came the Kohathites carrying the sanctuary (the Dwel ing was erected before they arrived).	21 Los quehatitas, que llevaban los objetos sagrados, avanzaron después, a fin de que la Morada ya estuviera erigida antes de su llegada.
22 Then came the standard of the camp of the Ephraimites and their units, with Elishama son ofAmmihud commanding that contingent;	22 A continuación avanzó el estandarte de la división de Efraím, distribuida por regimientos. Al frente de sus tropas iba Elisamá, hijo de Amihud;
23 Gamaliel son of Pedahzur commanding the tribal contingent of the Manassehites;	23 al frente de las tropas de la tribu de Manasés, iba Gamaliel, hijo de Padasur;
24 and Abidan son of Gideoni commanding the tribal contingent of the Benjaminites.	24 y al frente de las tropas de la tribu de Benjamín, iba Abidán, hijo de Gedeón.
25 Last of al , the rearguard of al the camps, came the standard of the camp of the Danites and theirunits, with Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai commanding that contingent;	25 Finalmente, a la retaguardia de todos los campamentos, avanzó el estandarte de la tribu de Dan, distribuida por regimientos. Al frente de sus tropas iba Ajiézer, hijo de Amisaddai;
26 Pagiel son of Ochran commanding the tribal contingent of the Asherites;	26 al frente de la tribu de Aser, iba Peguiel, hijo de Ocrán;
27 and Ahira son of Enan commanding the tribal contingent of the Naphtalites.	27 y al frente de los descendientes de Neftalí, iba Ajirá, hijo de Enán.
28 Such was the order of march for the Israelites, unit by unit. So they set out.	28 Este era el orden en que avanzaban los israelitas, distribuidos por regimientos cuando emprendían la marcha.
29 Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, his father-in-law, 'We are setting out for the countryof which Yahweh has said: I shall give it to you. Come with us, and we wil treat you wel , for Yahweh haspromised good things for Israel.'	29 Moisés dijo a Jobab, que era hijo de su suegro Reuel, el madianita: «Nosotros vamos a emprender la marcha hacia el lugar que el Señor prometió darnos. Ven con nosotros, y seremos generosos contigo, porque el Señor prometió ser generoso con Israel».
30 'I wil not come with you,' he replied, 'but shal go to my own country and kin.'	30 El replicó: «No iré con ustedes, sino que regresaré a mi país natal».
31 'Do not leave us,' Moses said, 'for you know where we can camp in the desert, and so you will beour eyes.	31 «Por favor, no nos abandones, le insistió Moisés; tú sabes muy bien en qué lugar del desierto podemos acampar, y por eso nos servirás de guía.
32 If you come with us, we shal share with you whatever blessings Yahweh gives us.'	32 Si vienes con nosotros, te haremos participar de los bienes que el Señor nos conceda».
33 They set out from Yahweh's mountain and travel ed for three days, while the ark of the covenant ofYahweh preceded them on the three-day journey, searching out a place for them to halt.	33 Ellos partieron de la montaña del Señor y recorrieron un camino de tres días. Durante todo ese tiempo, el Arca de la Alianza del Señor avanzó al frente de ellos, para buscarles un lugar donde hacer un alto.
34 In the daytime, Yahweh's cloud was over them, once they had broken camp.	34 Desde que dejaron el campamento, la nube del Señor estaba sobre ellos durante el día.
35 Whenever the ark set out, Moses would say: Rise, Yahweh, may your enemies be scattered andthose who hate you flee at your approach!	35 Cuando el Arca se ponía en movimiento, Moisés exclamaba: ¡Levántate, Señor! ¡Que tus enemigos se dispersen y tus adversarios huyan delante de ti!
36 And when it halted, he would say: Come back, Yahweh, to the countless thousands of Israel!	36 Y cuando se detenía, exclamaba: ¡Descansa, Señor, entre los diez mil millares de Israel!
