1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:
2 'Make yourself two trumpets; make them of beaten silver, so that you can use them for summoningthe community, and for sounding the order to break camp.	2 Fatti due trombe di argento battuto al martello, colle quali tu possa avvisare tutta lamoltitudine, quando dee muoversi il campo.
3 Whenever they are sounded, the whole community must gather round you, at the entrance to theTent of Meeting.	3 E quando suonerai le trombe, si raunerà da te tutta la moltitudine alla porta deltabernacolo dell'alleanza.
4 But if only one trumpet is sounded, then only the leaders, the heads of Israel's thousands, mustgather round you.	4 Se suonerai una sola volta, verranno a te i principi, e i capi del popolo d'Israele.
5 'When the trumpet blast is accompanied by a battle cry, the encampments pitched to the east wil setout.	5 Se il suono sarà più lungo, e rotto, si metteranno in via i primi, quelli che sono dallaparte d'oriente.
6 At the second blast accompanied by a battle cry, the encampments pitched to the south wil set out.For breaking camp, the trumpet blast wil be accompanied by a battle cry,	6 E ad un simile secondo suono, e grido della tromba, ripiegheranno le tende quelli cheabitano a mezzo giorno: e nella stessa guisa faranno gli altri, ululando le trombe per lapartenza.
7 but for assembling the community the trumpets will be sounded without battle cry.	7 Quando poi dee raunarsi il popolo, il suono delle trombe sarà semplice, e non interrotto.
8 The Aaronite priests wil sound the trumpets; this is a perpetual decree for you and your descendants.	8 Suonatori delle trombe saranno i sacerdoti figliuoli d'Aronne: questa sarà legge perpetuaper tutta la vostra posterità.
9 'When in your country you go to war against an enemy who is oppressing you, you will soundtrumpets with a battle cry, and Yahweh your God wil remember you, and you wil be delivered from yourenemies.	9 Se uscirete del vostro paese per andare contro i nemici che vi fanno guerra, suonerete letrombe, e il Signore Dio vostro ricorderassi di voi per sottrarvi dalle mani de' vostrinemici
10 At your festivals, solemnities and new-moon feasts, you will sound the trumpets over your burntofferings and communion sacrifices, so that they recal you to the remembrance of your God. I am Yahweh yourGod.'	10 Quando ferete banchetto, e ne' giorni festivi, e nelle calende suonerete le trombe nel tempodegli olocausti, e delle vittime pacifiche, affinché faccian memore di voi il vostro Dio. Ioil Signore Dio vostro.
11 In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud rose fromwhere the Dwel ing of the Testimony was,	11 L'anno secondo, il secondo mese, a' venti del mese la nuvola si tolse di sopra iltabernacolo dell'alleanza:
12 and the Israelites set out, in marching order, from the desert of Sinai. The cloud came to rest in thedesert of Paran.	12 E i figliuoli d'Israele divisi nelle loro schiere si partirono dal deserto del Sinai, e lanuvola si arrestò nella solitudine di Pharan.
13 These were the men who set out in the vanguard, at Yahweh's order through Moses:	13 E i primi a movere il campo secondo l'ordine dato dal Signore per mezzo di Mosè furono
14 first went the standard of the camp of the Judahites and their units, with Nahshon son ofAmminadab commanding that contingent;	14 I figliuoli di Giuda divisi nelle loro schiere: dei quali era principe Nahasson figliuolo diAminadab.
15 Nethanel son of Zuar commanding the tribal contingent of the Issacharites;	15 Nella tribù de' figliuoli d'Issachar fu principe Nathanael figliuolo di Suar.
16 and Eliab son of Helon commanding the tribal contingent of the Zebulunites.	16 Nella tribù di Zabulon era principe Eliab figliuolo di Helon.
17 The Dwel ing was then dismantled and the Gershonites and Merarites set out, carrying the Dwel ing.	17 E fu disfatto il tabernacolo, e vennero a portarlo i figliuoli di Gerson e di Merari.
18 Then came the standard of the camp of the Reubenites and their units, with Elizur son of Shedeurcommanding that contingent;	18 Partirono poi i figliuoli di Ruben divisi nelle loro schiere al loro luogo: di questi eraprincipe Helisur figliuolo di Sedeur.
19 Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai commanding the tribal contingent of the Simeonites;	19 Nella tribù de' figliuoli di Simeon il principe fu Salamiel figliuolo di Surisaddai.
20 and Eliasaph son of Reuel commanding the tribal contingent of the Gadites.	20 Nella tribù di Gad era principe Eliasaph figliuolo di Duel.
21 Then came the Kohathites carrying the sanctuary (the Dwel ing was erected before they arrived).	21 Partirono poi i Caathiti portando le cose sante. Si portava il tabernacolo fino a tanto chenon si giungeva al luogo, in cui doveasi erigerlo,
22 Then came the standard of the camp of the Ephraimites and their units, with Elishama son ofAmmihud commanding that contingent;	22 Mossero poi il campo i figliuoli di Ephraim divisi nelle loro schiere, nell'esercito de'quali era principe Elisama figliuolo di Ammiud.
23 Gamaliel son of Pedahzur commanding the tribal contingent of the Manassehites;	23 Nella tribù de' figliuoli di Manasse era principe Gamaliel figliuolo di Phadassur.
24 and Abidan son of Gideoni commanding the tribal contingent of the Benjaminites.	24 E nella tribù di Beniamin era capo Abidan figliuolo di Gedeone.
25 Last of al , the rearguard of al the camps, came the standard of the camp of the Danites and theirunits, with Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai commanding that contingent;	25 Gli ultimi a muovere il campo furono i figliuoli di Dan divisi nelle loro schiere,nell'esercito de' quali era principe Ahiezer figliuolo di Ammisaddai.
26 Pagiel son of Ochran commanding the tribal contingent of the Asherites;	26 Nella tribù de' figliuoli di Aser era principe Phegiel figliuolo di Ochran.
27 and Ahira son of Enan commanding the tribal contingent of the Naphtalites.	27 E nella tribù de' figliuoli di Nepthali era principe Ahira figliuolo di Enan.
28 Such was the order of march for the Israelites, unit by unit. So they set out.	28 Questo è l'ordine, col quale si metteva in viaggio il campo de' figliuoli d'Israele divisonelle sue schiere ogni volta che si movea.
29 Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, his father-in-law, 'We are setting out for the countryof which Yahweh has said: I shall give it to you. Come with us, and we wil treat you wel , for Yahweh haspromised good things for Israel.'	29 E disse Mosè a Hobab figliuolo di Raguel Madianita, suo parente: Noi c'incamminiamo verso illuogo, del quale il Signore ci darà il dominio; vieni. con noi, e ti faremo del bene;perocché il Signore ha promesso del bene a Israele.
30 'I wil not come with you,' he replied, 'but shal go to my own country and kin.'	30 Ma quegli rispose a lui: Non verrò teco, ma tornerò nel mio paese, dove son nato.
31 'Do not leave us,' Moses said, 'for you know where we can camp in the desert, and so you will beour eyes.	31 E Mosè: Non volere, gli disse, ritirarti da noi, perocché tu sei pratico dei luoghi, neiquali dobbiamo posare il campo nel deserto, e tu sarai nostra guida.
32 If you come with us, we shal share with you whatever blessings Yahweh gives us.'	32 E se vieni con noi, daremo a te il meglio che si troverà tra le ricchezze, le quali ilSignore darà a noi,
33 They set out from Yahweh's mountain and travel ed for three days, while the ark of the covenant ofYahweh preceded them on the three-day journey, searching out a place for them to halt.	33 Partirono adunque dal monte del Signore, e camminaron tre giorni, e l'arca dell'alleanza delSignore andava innanzi ad essi, segnando loro ne' tre giorni il luogo da posarvi il campo.
34 In the daytime, Yahweh's cloud was over them, once they had broken camp.	34 E parimente la nuvola del Signore stava sopra di essi di giorno, mentre camminavano.
35 Whenever the ark set out, Moses would say: Rise, Yahweh, may your enemies be scattered andthose who hate you flee at your approach!	35 E quando l'arca si alzava, Mosè diceva: Sorgi, o Signore, e sieno dispersi i tuoi nimici, efuggano dal tuo cospetto coloro, che ti odiano.
36 And when it halted, he would say: Come back, Yahweh, to the countless thousands of Israel!	36 E quando ella si posava, diceva: Torna, o Signore, alla moltitudine dell'esercito d'Israele.
